You know, I’m seriously thinking about making Aliyah even though I’m in my late fifties. If I’m going to have my throat cut, I’ll have it cut in Israel.

Understand the sentiment, Cassie, however you are very effective at taking it to the useful idiots in this country.

As the dawn light glinted off the fixed bayonets, the prison doors opened and the rioters came out with their hands in the air.

I remember that example, given on a promotion course I was on.

The first three rounds in each magazine were blank, the rest were live. Not a shot was fired, live or blank, and some of the most hardened criminals in Canada had their hands in the air, begging to surrender.

BB linked an excellent piece on this subject a couple of days ago. On a similar note – Lysander at 5.56:

Here’s a list of things perpetrated by Ghengis Khan, see if you can spot any difference at all to Hummarse.

Massacres: The Mongols conducted large-scale massacres of civilians in many cities and regions they conquered. These massacres often involved the indiscriminate killing of men, women, and children.

Yep. That was in the 13th century. This is the Assyrian, King Ashurnasirpal II in the 9th century BC:

I cut off their hands, I burned them with fire, a pile of the living men and of heads over against the city gate I set up, men I impaled on stakes, the city I destroyed and devastated, I turned it into mounds and ruin heaps, the young men and the maidens in the fire I burned.

And:

I have made a pillar facing the city gate, and have flayed all the rebel leaders; I have clad the pillar in the flayed skins. I let the leaders of the conquered cities be flayed, and clad the city walls with their skins. The captives I have killed by the sword and flung on the dung heap.

I’m not saying it’s right. I am saying it demands vengeance.

I am also saying that all the garment-rending handpatters, both alive and in computer-Socrates form, need to realise that we are not in fact sleepwalking into WW3.

We have lived through the most peaceful, prosperous 80 years in humanity’s history, and are just returning to normal programming.

I was an Officer in the ADF for twenty years, spent six months in Somalia 93/94 and was awarded the AASM.

Mmm. These are the AASM qualifiers for Somalia:

Battalion Group for Operation Solace as a part of UNOSOM I from 10 January 1993 to 21 May 1993.
Naval Component for Operation Solace from 10 January 1993 to 21 May 1993.[12]
Land components of the United Nations Operation in Somalia II from 1 May 1993 to 28 March 1995.
Air components of the United Nations Operation in Somalia II from 1 May 1993 to 28 March 1995.

Well, we can wipe out the infantry component (1RAR with a bumped-up company from 2/4RAR in support) straight away.

My money’s on Ronnie RAAF. 0830 to 1500, weekdays only, two hour lunch break and public holidays off. Airconditioned offices only.

Please, do advise your military experience, faggot!

That’s not very officerish. Hence the process of elimination all the way down to the RAAF.

KD that is beneath you … If you were ever in the profession of arms ..that should be enough … for you .

Firstly, I’ll decide what is beneath me.

Secondly, having been in one of the ADF’s myriad of sub-organisations does not automatically confer God-Oracleness. I know quite a few who deserve that accolade, but it is not automatic. That’s why I listed the eligibility criteria for the gong Mr Firefly decided to lead with.

As we have seen more recently in Afghanistan, officers have been awarded medals for leadership in operations, where the people receiving those medals never set foot in the country those operations were in.

I excluded outside-the-wire combat operations because Mr Firefly said he did six months in Somalia, and the relevant battalion groups had a five month tour. That leaves the rest.

Thirdly, I was in that profession – but it was a long time ago, and tactics – along with the entire ADF have changed since then. A grunt cannot comment with authority on naval operations, and vice versa. You do not get a wholesale licence to comment on everything military because you pulled on a boot – perhaps your own ex-area of expertise, but nothing more.

Fourthly, it was a shotgun comment from Mr Firefly that targeted no less than three other commenters, of whom one was called a Nazi-lover and another a faggot.

So yeah. Appreciate the thoughts and prayers, but nah.

Black Ivory Coffee is a brand of coffee produced by the Black Ivory Coffee Company Ltd in northern Thailand from Arabica coffee beans consumed by elephants and collected from their waste. What’s sort of hilarious is that Israel didn’t produce the atrocity porn, those that committed it did, they immediately flooded social media with it but hey we can can’t take it as authentic.
They went to battle wearing gopros and carrying phones, filming themselves.
Israel collected footage off those terrorists who didn’t make it back to gaza (plus some cctv) , and have released very little of it.
Buildings that are shot up, burnt, burnt out cars, cars with scattered windows full of bullet holes.
Another reality is 1400 dead.

I noticed that the day after the attacks when the recordings were put online by Hamas. There were quite a large number of blacks among the usual Arabs which means they were paid well enough to leave their own massacre zones in central Africa.

We seem to be marching headlong over the economic cliff with full brass band and uniformed girls twirling sticks.

Most agricultural industries have hit a brick wall. Lamb prices are back 30% year on year. Beef 45%. Wool has crashed to the point where unless you are running merinos the return doesn’t cover the cost of shearing.

My council rates increased 9% this year. Insurance 16%. Fertiliser/fuel/chemical/electricity/fencing material cost rise averages have been well above cpi over a rolling 3 year period.

And of course interest rates have been driven up to supposedly battle a rampant inflation rate driven, not by demand, by an ideological pursuit to decarbonise our economy.

Anecdotally I’ve heard over the last 2 weeks that;
-vineyards are bleeding money and laying off workers;
-rural merchandise store trading has come to an almost standstill,
-real estate agencies being inundated with beach house owners looking to off load,
-building timber sales plummeting,
-cancelled orders for new motor vehicles,
-auctioned farm land not attracting a bid,
-stock agencies removing employees motor vehicle access,
-increase in cockys looking for short term finance with agents to pay interest bills,
-a collapse in interest for farm lease.

That was gleaned from 3 separate stock agents, a timber industry contractor and a vineyard working mate.

The next move from this is layoffs. We are in a rural recession. Rural economy is the “canary in the coal mine”.

An increase in interest rates now will accelerate the crash landing of our economy. Unlike previous recessions we will be entering with record levels of public and private debt with dropping asset values. It will be carnage.

I can’t believe the people running this shit show are that stupid. This has to be deliberate.

The Russia Putin dreams of is the Imperial Russia of the Romanovs, it isn’t the Russia of Lenin or Stalin or Brezhnev.

By the way, Politico Europe has reported the following…..

Russian police arrested 60 people Monday after a huge crowd stormed the main airport in the Dagestan region to protest the arrival of a plane from Israel.

The anti-Israeli riot broke out at the Makhachkala International Airport on Sunday evening, following the arrival of a plane from Tel Aviv, reported Russian news agencies. Protesters flooded the airport, breached the runway, waving Palestinian flags while chanting antisemitic slogans and searching for passengers from the plane, according to news reports and videos shared on social media. Dagestan, which is a republic of Russia, has a predominantly Muslim population.

Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said Monday it had identified 150 people who took part in the riots and 60 of them had been taken into custody for further investigation.

I should add that this is in contrast to the NSW Police who are yet to charge or arrest one person from that “protest” on the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House on Monday night 9 October 2023, when a frenzied mob of Palestinians and leftists burnt an Israeli flag, and screamed, screeched and shouts “kill the Jews” and “gas the Jews”.

Rita Panahi:

After 18 months of gallivanting around the world and talking endlessly about his toxic Voice proposal, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has decided to focus on the cost of living crisis.

This belated awakening to the single biggest issue in the country has only come about after the Voice was emphatically rejected in every state and territory, except the ACT, and Airbus Albo’s popularity took a hit.

Post-referendum polling shows that support for Labor, their unofficial coalition partner the Greens, and the prime minister is heading south while the Coalition and other centre-Right parties are seeing greater support.

Even the latest Left-leaning Essential poll, courtesy of the Guardian, demonstrates the shift in the national mood.

The data this week shows Labor’s primary vote falling further from 33 to 32 per cent, while the Greens fell from 14 to 10 per cent.

Meanwhile, the Coalition’s primary vote went up from 32 to 34 per cent, with One Nation, United Australia and other minor parties also seeing an increase in support.

Also interesting is the surge in support from female voters who now prefer the Coalition over Labor in both primary (34 to 29 per cent) and two-party-preferred (47 to 45 per cent).

Among men the parties are tied on the primary vote and Labor are ahead on a two-party preferred basis.

Essential also measured the national mood and found only one in three Australians believes the country is heading in the right direction, with about half saying we are on the wrong track and 18 per cent unsure.

The data is in line with polling by Roy Morgan last week showing primary support for Labor down 3 points to 32 per cent and support for the Coalition rising to 36 per cent.

The Coalition leads Labor 50.5 to 49.5 on a two-party preferred basis.

And, again there was a clear majority of 53.5 per cent saying the country is heading in the wrong direction, with only one in three saying we are on the right track.

We are likely to see a different prime minister in the coming months as he works to convince Australians he understands and shares their concerns for the country.

At a speech at The Australian-Melbourne Institute Economic and Social Outlook conference on Thursday, the prime minister vowed to make cost of living his top priority.

“We know a stronger budget position serves as an important buffer against international shocks and it helps put downward pressure on inflation,’’ he said.

But we are outsourcing our destiny including our energy security.

The push for unreliable, expensive renewable energy is not only seeing costs soar for businesses and households alike but we are becoming increasingly dependent on supply chains largely controlled by China.

Treasurer Jim Chalmers also spoke at the conference warning that we cannot meet our bold emission targets without greater intervention from governments.

“Without more decisive action, across all levels of government, working with investors, industry and communities, the energy transition could fall short of what the country needs,” Chalmers said.

Translation: these dud projects are not commercially viable and more of your hard-earned tax dollars will go into propping them up and enriching the .01 per cent.

It’s time the Coalition recognised the enormous error it made, under Scott Morrison’s leadership, to embrace net zero. They signed up to the same economy-destroying lunacy offered by their opposition.

One of the many lessons from the Voice debate is that Australians deserve a true contest of ideas and the Coalition will only prevail when they clearly articulate their position and differentiate their policies from Labor and the Greens.

It’s a point former prime minister Tony Abbott emphasised in a speech on Wednesday telling a London audience that when energy and climate policy had been a big election focus, the electorate always opted for their hip pocket

“On every occasion, when the Australian public have been asked to choose between reducing emissions and protecting their cost of living, they’ve put their cost of living first,” Mr Abbott said.

“Now, at the last election, energy wasn’t an issue. Both sides were committed to net-zero.”

In recent months I have spoken to a number of senior shadow ministers and Liberal/National MPs, on and off the record, and the message is clear; the Coalition must abandon its net zero pledge.

If the Coalition did dump any pretence of net zero policy, it wins the next election handily. Let’s see.

The Russia Putin dreams of is the Imperial Russia of the Romanovs, it isn’t the Russia of Lenin or Stalin or Brezhnev.

He sees a historical continuity there. Thus, even Stalin is being rehabilitated in Putin’s Russia. For someone whose parents survived the siege of Leningrad it can never be otherwise. In fact, Putin’s grandfather reportedly worked for both Lenin & Stalin.

There is a marked difference in attitude here between the descendants of Russian emigres to the West and former Soviet citizens.

I can’t believe the people running this shit show are that stupid. This has to be deliberate.

They are that stupid.
Perhaps you’re fortunate to not know many/any ALP sitting members. It is bad for your psyche to know any, as it plays with your head as you struggle to process that people that dumb (& assertive to go with it) are actually making major decisions & are actually making laws.

It’s worse than giving toddlers the chequebook. As I say, it really does your head in to try to process it.

One example: That ditzy bimbo on Q&A who’d never heard of Pavlov, never mind his dogs & made a stupid comment about “You think this is about buying pavlova?” Even Tony Jones couldn’t cover for that degree of stupid.

Shit a brick. Andrew Koubaridis in the Hun on a most terrifying development:

Hamas is using a $2.8 billion fortune – some of it laundered by real estate agents and Middle East companies – to finance their terror campaign, a former Mossad agent has revealed.

Hundreds of millions of dollars are flowing to the leaders of Hamas through the companies based in Qatar, Turkey, Emirates and Sudan, former security agent Uzi Shaya said.

“Hamas may look like a very small terror organisation but their funding network is widespread,” Mr Shaya told The Sun.

“A significant portion of their budget stays with the heads of Hamas, their terrorists and all their families”.

Additional cash – also stretching into the hundreds of millions – is coming directly from Iran, on top of what Hamas would have collected through taxation, extortion, and border control.

Days after the October 7 attack where Hamas terrorists broke through the security border fence and slaughtered 1400 people, Israeli police revealed they had located and frozen accounts linked to Hamas that sought “to solicit donations on social networks” via Binance, the world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange.

The Israeli Government accused Mousa Abu Marzouk, a senior Hamas figure, of being worth billions of dollars.

“Hamas spends most of its money on building tunnels and terrorism. The rest lines [Marzouk’s] and his friends’ pockets,” a post on the official government X account said.

“His net worth is 3 BILLION dollars. Wonder why there’s a humanitarian crisis in Gaza?”.

The terror group’s former Chairman Khaled Mashal is believed to be worth an estimated $5 billion with Arab Media listing his extensive portfolio including banks in Egypt and real estate projects in the Arabian Gulf countries, while himself living in Qatar.

And according to the BBC, the current head of the Hamas political bureau Ismail Haniyeh – who is also living in Qatar – is said to be worth $5 million.

The BBC reported Haniyeh used his wealth and connections to acquire a Turkish passport which he has used to amass extensive property portfolio – many of which are in the names of the his 13 children. He is said to have recently bought 27,000 square feet of land along the Gaza beachside for $4 million.

Other Hamas chiefs estimated to be worth millions include Yahya Sinwar, the terrorist groups boss in Gaz, and Mohammed Deif, head of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, with a fortune estimated at $5 million. Both men have been named as the Israel Defense Force’s prized targets.

A US State Department report published last year revealed Hamas terrorists were known to pass cash through the labyrinth of tunnels underneath Gaza and used cryptocurrencies to bypass international sanctions.

Analysts with the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists – a network of experts investigating financial crime – found terror groups such as Hamas were using donations from expatriates, which were funnelled through crypto currencies.

It found there were noticeable spikes in fundraising following attacks involving Hamas, who often use charities as cover – often asking for donations to help innocent civilians but pocket the funds themselves.

Hamas terror chief Ismail Haniyeh was recently seen celebrating the shock attack that killed 1,400 mainly Israeli civilians and triggered the ongoing war, by smiling and praying in a an airconditioned office with large televisions beaming news of the atrocities unleashed by Hamas.

And the Wong Chap (I know Top Ender is watching lol) saw fit to give $25 million to these khunts. FMD

Tribal Law news (the NT News):

Three men who stabbed Territory Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price’s nephew to death as part of an ongoing family feud in Alice Springs three years ago have each been jailed for 12 years.

Ronald Martin, Jeremy Scrutton and Benjamin Martin each pleaded guilty in the Supreme Court to manslaughter following the death of Kumanjayi Presley in June 2020.

The court heard there had been “ongoing issues between different family groups” including the Martins, Scruttons and Presleys in the lead up to the fatal confrontation in the early hours of June 5.

From the family names involved, this is a Yuendumu issue brought into town.

The trio was part of a group of people who armed themselves with weapons including axes, knives, machetes, nulla nullas and iron bars before travelling to an address where Mr Presley was at the time.

After members of the group started striking the house with the weapons, Mr Presley came outside to tell them to leave before the three men each stabbed him once to the leg.

This is known among indig countrymen as the ‘roo killer’ – a single stab to the inside of the thigh where the femoral artery is. A relatively quick bleed out, and all three crooks got to have a go – for ‘honour’.

A Voice would have probably fixed this.

This is a profoundly affecting interview. Thank you for posting it, Indolent.

Anyone who cannot understand the magnitude of what was done, the sheer barbarity, needs to watch this interview between two astonishing women, to see the compassion, the honesty, the strength exhibited in order to tell what was witnessed; the strength to have rendered the very service that Avigail Gimpel and others did. It was both horrifying and humbling to listen to. I’d read some accounts of what was found, the state of the victims, but this was different and very personal.

That a people has such a thing as a Burial Society (I missed the Hebrew word), and the service that society provides, especially in this situation, speaks volumes for the humanity and civilisation of that people. Ancient traditions of decency and compassion should still have their place in humanity. Our modern western world has lost so much, I think.

Rival factions of the West Australian Labor Party are locked in debate over a proposed motion to condemn violence in Gaza, ahead of a potentially heated state conference this weekend.

The Left faction of the party, which was split over the elevation of Roger Cook as WA Premier in July, is weighing how to make a public statement against the fighting and in favour of refugees at the event. The ongoing conflict is a particularly fraught issue for Labor, given the deep divisions within the party over Israel and Palestine.

One Labor source with knowledge of the discussions between the party’s Left and Right factions said nailing down a set of words that were acceptable to all sides of the debate was proving difficult.
Read Next

The source said there was recognition by both factions of the need to tread carefully and avoid making a statement that was “too provocative”.

“There are some passionate people and there are some cooler heads and they’re all together on this,” the source said.

The vocally pro-Palestine Sue Lines – the party’s most senior senator for WA – is not taking part in the talks and will skip the state conference altogether, instead travelling to Canberra ahead of the resumption of parliament.

Fremantle MP Josh Wilson, who is a member of the Parliamentary Friends of Palestine group of which Anthony Albanese was a founding member, will also be absent as he is returning from a delegation to the US.

He delivered a speech in parliament last month urging an end to violence and a return to peace, and expressing his sympathy for both the Israeli and Palestinian people.

No formal motion on the matter has been submitted ahead of the conference, but motions can be moved from the floor, and the party’s Left, home to some of the most passionate pro-Palestine voices, could use its majority numbers to push through any motion.

Fight you useless b@st@rds, fight. I hate peace!

As is by now abundantly clear from the pro-Hamas rallies we have seen all over, the left loves jihadis, and this love is longstanding. Today’s global crisis, however, is bringing a new clarity to what exactly the left has been supporting, and it isn’t really “diversity” and “inclusion,” much less “tolerance” or “peace.” Vogue cover model Ahed Tamimi is a chilling case in point.

But they didn’t get to finish it in time before one of the peace deals.
Now they plan to finish it & the real estate they need goes through the Gaza strip.

TMZ later obtained surveillance video that appeared to show Ruck’s truck rear-ending a car stopped at a traffic signal before “pushing it into the intersection and sending his truck into Raffallo’s Pizza.” Video also showed Ruck outside of the truck and talking on his cellphone after the incident.

If it had the whole pizzeria could well have gone up given the EV in embedded in it.

When “Cookies” Nuland light the fire ..and speaking as one who has lit many fires …

As a responsible person that lights fires … they are inherently unpredictable … it tkes foresight and planning to know where they will wind up going.

In my case they go really big … and we have the equipment and expertise to know when they will go out.

Why ? Because if they happen by themselves they will take out homes and possibly lives.

What terrifies me about “Cookies” is that I think she knew what she was doing.

No, it doesn’t reflect that at all wheelspoke and there’s nothing wrong with this feeling.
Aboriginals in Australia were never displaced in the same way most arabs currently living in Israel were never displaced.

Israel: Who Are the Indigenous People?

This is the only pro Israel argument I find hard to accept. Because it mirrors the Nations ideology in Australia plus my family left the UK and Europe claim no such right of return.

You’re talking about where individuals lived, yourself and family. Jews and Israel are talking about their nation, its roots, and the unbroken continuation of their cultural traditions. It’s a return of sovereignty but not a return of the essence of the nation that has never left the territory. Rituals demonstrate that – the nation’s calendar of rituals follow seasons of the Levant no matter where in the world we happen to be.

Part of the difference with indigenous in Australia is their culture doesn’t have the foundation of social relationships, institutions of governance, or attitude towards industry that can be appropriate for modern life. Imagine if they did, and that we had enough examples of worthwhile end results – their claims for shared sovereignty or part autonomy could have a whole other level of potential acceptance.

Here’s the drum on the trolls infesting this site right now. Kudos to Tom (Vasily) for pinging this latest incarnation of GMB.

Bird writes like “MB” here (more so if he writes more and more, the act is hard to keep up), the old “MH” writes different to that and the real MB’s blog is yet different again to both.

It’s either Bird or Grigory/Septimus really is a sad fugger with way too much time on on his hands. “Zafiro” has made several Septimus S-tier quips.

Dover I implore you to nuke the trolls and doxx them (as far as legally possible) and nefarious sock puppet users, along with any state approved accounts.

‘Ferris Bueller’ Star Alan Ruck Crashes EV into Los Angeles Pizzeria

Saw him The Burial last night. Ruck in his role as a lawyer drove me mad wondering where I had seen him before. Eventually had to look it up. Ferris was a very long time ago.

Movie is worth a watch – a true-life about a USA funeral company which tried to buy out a smaller company and the ensuing legal battle.

MB – what you fail to comprehend is that if Israel was given free reign, it would happily include all the Pali’s in its country to live peacefully alongside them.

20% of its current population identifies as Palestinian/Arab and live quite happily in Israel (and more successfully than those in Gaza / West Bank).

It cannot do that – because Hamas have vowed to wipe it off the face of the earth.

Thank you for the link to the 7/10 atrocities Rosie. It is something to have to send to the recalcitrants who tinker with moral equivalence.

Henry Ergas has today written (in the Oz) an excellent analysis of the historical development of “dhimmitude” in the religious attitude of Muslims towards Jews, to the present support of complete extinction of the Jewish populations.

Much has been written in the past few weeks (eg in Quadrant & the Australian Spectator) tracing the history of the conflict. This article drills down into the religious tenets of the conflict. We need to understand this in order to prepare for what is emerging.

2) Go on Hannity and complain.
3) Talk about Biden’s corruption but won’t impeach.
4) Talk about Garland’s corruption but won’t impeach.
5) Talk about Wray’s corruption but won’t impeach.
6) Talk about Mayorkas’ corruption but won’t impeach.
7) Fund the wars in the Middle East.
8) Give corrupt Ukraine billions more.
9) Cry about the corruption in the FBI,CIA, etc – but will fully fund.
10) Thomas Massie and Chip Roy will vote with the Democrats again (as usual) because of “muh principles.”
11) Tweet all day instead of doing their jobs.
12) Write mean letters.
13) Completely ignore their voters.
14) Mock their voters on Twitter.
15) Get owned by the Democrats because they can’t work together.

– Next week … rinse and repeat.
