Tucker is going to be a dog with a bone on these US labs in Ukraine.
Especially the US built one in Odessa in 2010.

I can’t believe how this story has evolved.
When Bluey posted a few links talking about it a couple of weeks ago, I was yawn, whatever.
Then it turns into something more with the US government saying no we have no labs Ukraine in response to Tuckers questions.
Within days Nuland admits to it when questioned by Rubio.
Then the US says yes we have a range of labs for reasons xyz but these were old labs we were funding the upkeep.
Now we find out the US built a bio lab in Odessa in 2010.
How long before this entire operation & network is exposed.

The left has won and elections mean nothing any more. The half terms in the USA will be either gamed (again) or deferred, since there’s no way the left can win fairly.
Once all the checks and balances are gone or diluted (such as the media and rule of law) there’s no hope remaining.

Like all communist regimes, the food will run out, the economy will be destroyed and everyone will starve.
The only difference is that this time, it will be done on a global scale, which means there will be nowhere to run to.

Vikki Campion has written a piece for the Daily Terror today called “It’s time for governments to stop talking and take action The floods that have caused such devastation are yet again another sign that authorities are so caught up appeasing interest groups that nothing ever gets done”

You don’t say Vikki. Perhaps you could ask your partner to reflect on his own appeasing, particularly he and his party’s appeasement late last year when they capitulated to the ultimate interest group…..the climate cult of net zero emissions. Your husband and his party should have walked. Net zero emissions, no dams, no burning off, are all pseudo religious tenets that emanate from the same climate cult. What sayeth Vikki?

I don’t know if Bluey’s links included Pre-2010 but you said that’s what we’ve “now” found out, written in a way that implied that it wasn’t in the links of Bluey’s that you yawned over or those that stopped at 2010.

If you have Bluey’s links that include the early Obama involvement, please, repost them because as I mentioned, I can’t recall where found them, but it wasn’t here because I posted them here.

Yesterday Megyn Kelly uploaded an excellent interview with one of my favourite writers/commentators, Rod Dreher. I would urge everyone to watch it.

The Truth About Russia and Ukraine: Narratives, Moralizing, and Humanitarian Crises, with Rod Dreher

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGxY-dualWU&t=2789s

Kelly’s discussion with Dreher is the first half and last for approx 46 minutes. I didn’t watch the second half with another commentator.

Dreher is an Orthodox Christian but he’s no Putin apologist and he condemns the invasion however he rightly says that we’re being lied to by a biased MSM and we’re being led into catastrophic war by western elites. And it won’t be the children of the elites who are sent to war. And this cancelling of Russians is simply another facet of cancel culture. It’s hysteria and xenophobia on steroids. Dreher, like all of us, wants cool heads to prevail…the problem is that there aren’t any cool heads among western leaders…just look at the motley collection of western leaders…the Sniffer, who doesn’t know whether he’s Arthur or Martha, Scumbag Morrison, the billy bunter of politics, Blob Johnson, who’s revelling in this war because it’s taken the heat away from the fact that whilst forcing other Britons to lock down, he and his hypocritical green wife were partying at Number 10, and Mini Macron, pretending to be another little Napoleon and who tried to lecture Putin about war.

Dreher also says why nobody in the west are asking the hard questions about why Putin has invaded….US interference, Ukrainian corruption and so on….now whether you agree with what Putin’s does (and I don’t)….these questions must be asked.

Well worth a listen.

I could tolerate such irredeemable idiocy if they weren’t doing anyone any harm. But, unfortunately for us, that isn’t the case. Their staggering stupidity will drag us all down with them, unless we put a stop to it – which is about as unlikely as a Russian cat getting upset about being banned from a Cat Show.

The Russian Defense Ministry released on Thursday documents it acquired from the personnel of a bio lab in Ukraine. The documents expose the US and its NATO allies’ research on biological weapons in Ukraine, including research on spreading the highly infectious bird flu virus through migratory birds and on pathogens such as bacteria and viruses that can be transmitted from bats to humans. Russia said the documents show that a large number of serum samples belonging to the Slavs have been transferred and that the experiments in Ukraine are similar to what Japan’s Unit 731 did in WWII. The documents were uploaded online by Russia for free download.

Years ago, I visited Paducah, Kentucky. It’s on the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi rivers. A sensible location for the riverboat trade, but always subject to appalling floods.

They built flood barriers along the town side of the river which are closed once the water reaches a pre-set level. Normally, the land on the river side of the barriers is used as parkland/open space. The barriers themselves are decorated with some great murals, many depicting the devastation of previous floods just to remind townsfolk and visitors of why they are there.

I can’t see why the same can’t be done for Lismore.

EU parliament votes to sanction Hungary and Poland in midst of Ukraine war — despite both countries welcoming 1.6 million refugees in a fortnight

In January 2021, the EU introduced the Rule of Law Conditionality Mechanism which provided a tool whereby the Commission could refuse to release EU funds to national governments who they considered to be in breach of the common rule of law.

In essence, it means that if conservative countries dissent against the liberal European mainstream on how to govern — for example, Hungary’s passing of legislation which prohibited LGBT+ propaganda to be taught in schools or rejects mass immigration — the offending country could be refused access to European funds they are entitled to.

I suspect that there might be an Army Reserve Depot in Lismore, but those are local volunteers, as are the SES volunteers. Take a look on Google Earth. Might be easier to dig a canal which puts the river to the west of town and airport.
You can use the excavated soil to build a large levy on the eastern bank.
Alternatively, there is plenty of non flooding high ground around. Move the town. I can see why early settlers would want to be by the river but enough is enough.

War crime allegations must be tested in the right forum Noel Pearson

11:00PM March 11, 2022

The trial of Victoria Cross medallist Ben Roberts-Smith for war crimes should result in a judgment for defamation in his favour in respect of the claims made by respondent media that he committed murder during his war service in Afghanistan.

Melbourne barrister Matt Collins got it right in a Sydney Morning Herald commentary last June that the Roberts-Smith saga was a war crimes trial masquerading as defamation proceedings.

This case has been troubling from the beginning. That an Australian soldier who has served the country in overseas combat, not least one decorated with the highest possible recognition that could be conferred on behalf of the nation, has been subjected to a public destruction in the way he is, is profoundly disturbing.

It is true Roberts-Smith initiated this defamation action, but it has turned out to be an unfair war crimes trial.

My argument is simple. The evidence adduced in the defamation proceedings so far confirms what the public already knows or assumed: Ben Roberts-Smith committed acts of killing in war. There is no dispute Roberts-Smith committed killings in Afghanistan. Indeed, it is for killing that he earned his Victoria Cross. But killing in wartime service is lawful and is not murder.

The respondent media claimed Roberts-Smith committed killings in Afghanistan amounting to war crimes. They have presented witnesses, including former special forces soldiers who served with Roberts-Smith, who support the allegations against him. But this testimony only confirms the truth of killing. It does not and cannot confirm the truth of murder.

In January 2019, Roberts-Smith brought proceedings for defamation against Fairfax Media, a subsidiary of Nine Entertainment, for a series of reports that made serious claims against Roberts-Smith, including the grave claim of having committed war crimes in Afghanistan. The claims also related to alleged domestic violence in Australia.

There is no doubt the reports were defamatory of his reputation. The question in defamation proceedings is whether the reports were legally justified. The media respondents are basing their defence against Roberts-Smith’s case on the ground of truth.

But this is an impossible defence. And it exposes the absurdity of legal proceedings seeking to establish the truth of criminal wrongdoing in a civil court. For starters, how could the truth of murder – a crime which requires guilt to be established beyond reasonable doubt – be proven in a civil court, which adjudges truth in defamation proceedings on the balance of probabilities? Essentially, Roberts-Smith is at risk of being found guilty of murder on the balance of probabilities.

Whatever truth emerges from the evidence being presented to Justice Anthony Besanko in the Federal Court, plainly, it cannot be the truth of murder.

Therefore the evidence presented to the court seeking to establish Roberts-Smith’s war crimes is redundant.

It can never amount to truth because Roberts-Smith was an Australian soldier serving in lawful combat. Witnesses, including his fellow soldiers, the investigating media and we the interested public may find these killings unnecessary, questionable and morally repugnant, but we cannot say they were unlawful. Roberts-Smith and all serving soldiers must be able to rely upon the lawfulness of their killing when serving in combat. If there are grounds showing that soldiers have gone beyond lawful conduct and committed war crimes, then there are laws and procedures that govern such circumstances and soldiers can and should be prosecuted under them.

In my view, the core issue facing this case is a question of law, not fact. The question of law is: can a publisher that accuses a soldier of murder or war crimes during lawful war service rely on a defence of truth in response to a defamation action?

My point is that if Roberts-Smith is alleged to have committed war crimes, then he should be prosecuted and his innocence or guilt determined by appropriate war crime proceedings. In the absence of war crime charges and convictions, Roberts-Smith and any soldier who serves the country should be able to rely on the presumption that their killing in combat was lawful. This means their reputations and honour should not be impugned by public reportage that purport to present truths that have never been established according to the proper procedures of military justice. When they are impugned, then they should be entitled to redress in the civil courts for defamation.

I have read the heavily redacted report of the Brereton Inquiry. The report produced by Major General Paul Brereton in October 2020 for the Inspector-General of the Australian Defence Force sets out disturbing findings indicative of misconduct by special forces soldiers serving in Afghanistan, and potential war crimes.

The case of Roberts-Smith was likely canvassed in the Brereton report but, because of the appropriate redactions, this cannot be confirmed. Brereton made a number of recommendations, the principal being that 23 cases of alleged unlawful killings by 19 Australian soldiers should be investigated. The recommendation was that these investigations be undertaken by the Australian Federal Police. Any war crimes prosecutions ultimately require initiation by the Commonwealth Attorney-General.

The campaign in Afghanistan turned out to be a disaster, with the US and its allies, including Australia, cutting and running from what in the end was an ignominious defeat. It would be a strange result indeed if Roberts-Smith is found to have committed war crimes in civil proceedings, as the final wash-up of that long and ill-fated campaign.

Which currently serving or future serviceman or woman would serve our country in combat knowing that any killing in which they are involved will not only be subject to the proper laws of war and military justice, but also trial by media?

The investigating media are in a tricky position. They must not be restrained in their investigation of any aspect of the conduct of war. But they must be careful in how they present their investigations to the public insofar as the reputations of individual combatants are concerned. The presumption that soldiers undertaking killing in war are engaged in lawful conduct is one that should only be set aside when the law governing war crimes is properly invoked and the accused found guilty. This is the least that servicemen and women should be assured of by the nation that sends them to war.

It is not necessary to feel sympathy for Roberts-Smith or to believe he is a soldier or man of good character in order to accept my argument here. My concern is with the principle that persons who have served in our armed forces be dealt with fairly in relation to their service on the country’s behalf.

The court should rule that the media respondents cannot avail themselves of truth as a defence to their accusations that he committed war crimes in Afghanistan. Whether Roberts-Smith or any other special forces personnel are prosecuted for their conduct in Afghanistan is a matter for the process recommended by the Brereton Inquiry.

Since I never mentioned the possibility of an “acceptable rate of DV in aboriginal communities”, it seems that you are attempting to deflect away from my question about something that you actually said, about ‘the “background” that justifies DV rates many times higher in indigenous communities than in non-indigenous communities’.

Many human conditions that have also taken to plaguing animals and not because they eat fast food & sit at computers.

Still, that topic is clearly a bridge to far while global MSM is suddenly telling us the countless ways our hearts can kill us (including, “making our beds” and “breathing”), and people blithely accept that as normal.

I think it’s time that Poland and Hungary left the EU. My loathing of both the EU and NATO increases daily. This action completely exposes their priorities, nothing to do with trade or defence but rather to force perverted ideologies on Poland and Hungary……such as abortion on demand, LGBTQ+, Islamic immigration etc. The EU wants to destroy the populist Polish and Hungarian governments. I believe eastern European countries, after the collapse of communism, should have formed their own trading and defence bloc, maybe something akin to the medieval Hanseatic League. They should not have joined NATO and the EU. The rush to join NATO has contributed to the situation we have today….war in Ukraine. This has aggravated Russia and has left them exposed to corrupt, ruinous and perverted EU policies.

Many others have said the same thing. That wasn’t and isn’t uncommon. Re the sanction of Poland and Hungary by the prog-socialist EU it was nice to see this one this morning.

Minister Who Spearheaded Hungary’s Pro-Family Policies Elected President (11 Mar)

Novak, who served as State Secretary for Family and Youth Affairs and then as the country’s first Family Minister from October 2020 to December of 2021, oversaw Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s extensive pro-family policies that have been credited with increasing the Hungarian birthrate.

“As long as we have our hands and free will, we cannot be subdued. This is the very basis of our sovereignty. And family is the cradle of sovereignty,” Novak said.

Hungary’s government is nearly unique in pursuing serious encouragement of having a family rather than importing masses of horny male country shoppers. Costello’s baby bonus worked, yet no one else until now has tried it. Good on her.

Lismore – 91 floods in 150 years according to that article. I have run out of sympathy.

A teenaged OSC was delegated to climb up the racks of tyres in a Lismore tyre retailer many moons ago. I found chalk marks at the top of the wall with dates of previous floods.
“Why stay here – won’t it happen again?” was my innocent question.
“Cheap land” was the laconic answer.

So like my gout today, much of Lismore’s woes are self inflicted pain.

Gambling addicts are in many ways worse that alcohol, heroin & crack addicts in that they don’t carry the physical ‘tells’ of the other addicts and even put a lot into presenting as clean & successful in order to scam their way into raising more stakes from the unsuspecting.

Why anyone thinks it smart to take advice from gamblers online is beyond me.

They will literally rob their parents & sell their children to raise the money for another bet, on anything.

In fact I have said the exact opposite on several occasions.

The psychological effects from lockdowns and exclusion are going to be far reaching and hard to overcome. Developmental issues in young children and teenagers will be evident for years. Schoolwork, particularly for the poor little buggers at the mercy of the state systems, has been badly affected.

No doubt daddy government will create a whole new bureaucracy to fix the damage they have caused.

Your utter unhinged obsession with this is completely unhealthy, adults make choices, weather you agree or disagree is superfluous to how that choice was made.

Let me reiterate so it is crystal clear, ADULTS MAKE CHOICES, give it a rest FFS, some people had and/or have no intention of getting jabbed. That is their fucking choice, if someone believes that getting jabbed or getting a booster is efficacious, that is a choice they make as an adult. If it works or not is a different question.

As others have said, the search engine and the browser are not necessarily intertwined.

I use Dissenter as a browser and Startpage as a search engine. Startpage by default applies a family filter which can distort results, however it is easy enough to create a bookmark link which has that
de-activated.

Dissenter is Brave with the payment system and a couple of other things stripped out and no doubt a few other things put in. Both Brave and Dissenter run on the open source Chromium engine.

Sorry Carp, but when you know it comes with a passport, you are actively participating in setting up a segregated society.
I’m sick of this horseshit…we’re all adults, so we make our own choices, bullshit.

As I have always said, you stick whatever you like in you, up you, over you, …roll around in it.
Couldn’t give a flying fuck.
Your business.
The minute you participate and submit to a passport, it’s no longer just your business. You are actively participating in something very evil.
And helping evil become empowered to destroy other people.
That’s just a fact.
A very uncomfortable fact, nonetheless, a fact.
And no wonder you don’t want a mirror held up to you.

And you will be told.
And it is black and white.

And as the government admit what they’ve done to you, the outcome will be that not only has that evil been unleashed on others, ….thank you……but it seems doing a deal with the devil isn’t going to work out good for you guys either.
Who woulda thunk it?

And I was pointing out that moral argument while still getting mocked for even suggesting there would be a passport.

So instead of sitting around being a smart arse Frank, and telling me what I should be doing, after you took the jab knowing it comes with a passport, the truth is, you should be getting off your fat arse and trying to fix what you’ve done to your fellow man.
You talk of me not being liked.
As if people like you are?!
I don’t mind people saying they hated the idea, or were forced to get the jab, life and death, family emergencies…that should have worked out to about no more than ten percent of Australians.
The thing I won’t tolerate is a smug “we’ve done nothing wrong, we all have choices, so deal with it” bullshit.
And there’s plenty of that on this blog.

the media made him an icon….. it was a totally flawless presentation of the One.

In 2005 and again in 2006, Senator Barack H Obama (D, Ill) voted against Republican-sponsored measures to wind back the securitised mortgage industry. The measures failed to pass.

In 2008, the securitised mortgage industry collapsed, taking the rest of the world’s economy with it. Presidential nominee Barack H Obama excoriated GWB’s administration for not having done anything to head off the GFC.

I don’t blame Obama for the hypocritical grandstanding – that’s politics, and that was his job.
But the media’s job was to point out the hypocrisy – instead they frenetically covered it up. It wasn’t as though they needed to do any investigative journalism. It was all on the public record. They just deliberately suppressed any mention of it. Pravda and Izvestia couldn’t have been more thorough.

Some of Mr Walker’s supporters were in court for the trial and to hear the verdicts being delivered.

Outside court, one supporter said: “We are feeling so empty that our beloved young fella has been taken away from us. I know nothing can bring him back.”

Another supporter wiped away tears while addressing the media.

“We are deeply saddened by the result and cannot put our grief into words,” she said.

“Many of us have travelled far to be here, to represent our family, our community, and most importantly, Kumanjayi, who could no longer represent himself.

“We were robbed of the opportunity to say goodbye to him.

“We, as a family and community, remember him as a young man who loved animals, who loved his family, who loved his partner, his friends, his homelands, who loved music.

“He was a traditional, young Aboriginal man who loved hunting and being out on country.

“He was a joyful, young man who was generous, a young man who was taken far too soon and a young man who will be deeply, deeply missed.”

A lot depends a lot on how much parents were able to give shade to their kids from the machinations of The State.

Children of wealthier parents probably fared better, children of less wealthy parents probably fared worse. Of course no one actually thinks of children beyond screaming “think of the children!”.

One of the good things lockdowns have raised in the US is a greater interest in Home Schooling.

The Alphabet/CSE push for schools to have more rights over children than parents has also helped parents discover that schools don’t ‘socialise’ children but rather, turn them into confused, depressed people who can only bond with the State Mob because their ability to trust & socialise with family & friends has been broken.
