Deduced by numeric algorithm.. or hunch?
Government and regulation is a problem on the supply side of the housing market. Homelessness is more a function that a reasonable proportion of people are too chaotic to function in any form of orderly fashion in regular society. Increasingly the homeless are people just down on their luck. You could give everybody a house and by the end of the week a proportion of them would be homeless.
Very obvious pattern, like the other one: you’re drunk every evening.

Congolese Migrant Arrested for Serial R@pes of Hospitalized Pensioners and Schoolgirl
The attack on July 27 saw two pensioners, aged 68 and 77, r@ped just 30 minutes apart as they sat hospitalized in the Max-Fourestier hospital in Nanterre, Hauts-de-Seine. Both patients are understood to have been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and were unable to put up significant resistance.
The suspect had been filmed on CCTV shortly before and after the attacks, and hospital staff confirmed he was neither an employee nor a patient at the hospital at the time.
A DNA sample taken by the accused upon his arrest has also linked him to the later r@pe of a schoolgirl.
Can’t speak for the southern states, but in QLD demand simply exceeds supply.

I wonder if this sort of treatment of an Air Force Widow has any bearing on retention rates?
Normally I would agree, but this time it is different. One of the ladies I work with (teacher, permanent, 100k pa, “normal”, ie no tattoos, piercings or outrageous haircuts or colours) has been evicted from where she had lived for 10 years as the owner has sold (gave her a glowing reference) and the new owner wanted to move in. In the last 3 months she has been knocked back at least 100 times. She is currently living in holiday accommodation.
is that a numeric pattern, or a hunch?
Are you able to explain the numeric algorithm for that?
Or is it just a clueless stab in the dark?

In the loathsome POS stakes, who wins, Fauci or Gates?!
MAGA
Lifted from CL’s blog.
Mehreen Faruqi is an adherent of a religion that started as a minor group in the Arabian Peninsula.
Since then, its imperial/colonial obsession has seen it conquer countries and tribes west to the Atlantic, north into France (via the Iberian Peninsula) and to Vienna, south beyond Equatorial Africa, and east as far as Indonesia and the Philippines. This march of conquest started around 900 years before the British started their colonial expansion and continues to this day.
There has never been a peaceful Islamic withdrawal from any of the places it has colonised. Deaths caused buy Islamic conquest in the Indian sub-continent alone are believed to have been in the tens of millions.
On top of all that, Islam was early into the slave trade, and continues that trade today. The British (and their American offspring) fought wars to end that foul trade, and are currently still criticised for their part in it, but no such criticism is directed at Islamic nations that still trade in slaves.
Perhaps Faruqi should read, learn, reflect, and then consider whether it might have been better to keep her mouth voluntarily shut, rather than draw attention to the forest (not just a beam) in the eyes of her co-religionists, not the mote in the eyes of westerners?
Tom, I’m principally referring to employed people in QLD being unable to access housing.
The unemployable, for whatever reason that may be (not always profligacy), have been let down by a Labor government that has sold off public housing stock to balance their budget, only to later be rescued by unforeseen record commodities prices.
The upshot is that governments, at all levels, need to relax their regulatory grip on the land and housing markets.
I can’t wait to see how much relaxation of regulation is recommended at the Palaceshack ‘Housing Summit’
When oxygen sat. is low I would imagine doctors may call for an oxygen mask or even ventilation.
There are people in ICU who are placed on vents even today, so what is the issue?
The issue as I remember was intubation not ventilation.
Some medical staff questioned using the method as the sedatives needed to intubate a patient suppresses breathing that was already compromised.
Ventilation with extra oxygen isn’t the same thing.
JC I took your Defcon -1 to be an overreaction in my response. What I think is, arseholes think they can do anything. Whatever happens to them is not over the top when they caused the problem. Every day we complain about conservatives not fighting back against the left but as soon as it gets physical conservatives poo their collective pants. A measured response is only for those unaffected in the first place. I’m a very peaceful person. Don’t disturb my peace.
It’s pattern forming, Drills. In fact that’s all the mind is – a bunch of neurons that recognize patterns.
Patterns can also have numerical values attached.
It would work something like this.
It’s evening, Driller (like this evening being a good example) begins extreme trolling either by being an oppositional fuckwit, or initiates heavy duty blowharding. We’re seeing the former this evening so far.
We also see the beginnings of dishonesty and dissembling about now or soon enough.
When challenged we see the extreme face planting resembling a pancake.
Conclusion.. You’re drunk again.
Structural failure of the housing market is certainly driving people into homelessness who have never been at risk previously. The fact that a person’s primary residence is now effectively the only tax effective, inflation resistant store of wealth doesn’t help and only encourages the bidding up of house prices.
Oh Okay. No, I was drying to describe how things can be placed in certain order.
trying… not drying..
Where do you get this crap that leftists celebrate no-hopers? The Labor govt hasn’t softened the dole requirements, in fact it has supported the increased demands. The housing crisis has nothing to do with victimisation. You are either so politically driven in your thinking or ignorant about human behavior because no-one enjoys being homeless.
The raw hard data is there. The accommodation shortage is very real. But I get it, you’d rather turn everything into a political issue rather than for a fucking change try looking at some evidence.
JC says: September 15, 2022 at 7:48 pm
So not a numerical algorithm, instead just a random & stupid offhand comment, not even a hunch
Something you made up on the spot.
Sorta like the bloke opening fire on an intruder who has broken into his daughter’s bedroom.
No numbers involved, just gut instinct.
In his case – to protect his daughter.
In your case – instinctive fabrication of a narrative, without any factual basis.
Ergo, Dover’s point is correct.
The amount of infrastructure required to release land today doesn’t help. It took 24 months of solid work to prepare approximately 2ha of unused land opposite my place for sale. Zero lot lined 200sq m townhouse blocks must be perfectly level and ready to build with kerbs, footpaths, underground power and internet. Block buyers are financing 80 years of infrastructure that gets handed over to the State government at no cost.
The mid-terms are gone. Tucker lists the number of times demorats have questioned and attacked election results, often overthrowing GOP wins such as with Kennedy and Tricky Dicky. When Trump won in 2016 EVERY demorat leader called him illegitimate, including the sexual corpse biden, many threatened violence or encouraged it, and the rest spent the next 4 years impeaching him on the basis of the clinton dossier and other fraudulent information.
Now, after overwhelming concrete evidence of electoral fraud and media manipulation, anyone who questions the 2020 result are being arrested or harassed by the fbi/doj.
Um… a Christian says what?
You see Drills
We got to point 1. extreme oppositional fuckwittery with a slight tinge of blowharding (only sight)
You reached point 2 with your last comment, which is dishonesty and general dissembling in an attempt to cause people to lose focus.
Invariably we’re now ending up at point 3, which is the inevitable face planting.
You most certainly are drunk and about to get even more drunk. Pattern forming.
The problem I have, is that every time Faruqi and Thorpe have one of their little drama’s – Greens voters selected these fools to represent you in the Senate….
Bush in 2000. I think we took that off them.
Cronkers, don’t be too pessimistic as we really don’t know what the GOP has in store for the cockheads. But your comment is reasonable.
Gez
Okay, excellent response. Don’t you think though they were going all out to try and keep people alive. They had no idea and were trying everything they could in a panicked way.
the sexual corpse biden
Thanks cohenite. I’ve stolen that.
What a stupid comment.
A whole heap of drivel – without any factual or evidentiary basis.
Segueing into personal abuse (your standard go-to when you’re under pressure in debate)
The numbers prolly say we should take that as you conceding you’ve come a cropper.
The numbers would be correct.
Okay. We done. We’ve reached the face plant.

I will always feel better about slicing & dicing you.
See you tomorrow when you come back for another lesson.
You’re my broken. You always will be.
Um… a Christian says what?
Dickless attempts an equivalence between Christianity and islam. This is the last refuge of the left and dickless cankers. Islam is the most disgusting ideology invented by humans, rivalled only by communism. Islam is eschatological, suppressive and destructive of everything good in human nature and invocative of everything which is bad. Before he succumbed to TDS Sam Harris wrote one of the best expositions of the dungheap which is islam called The End of Faith. For Harris islam is irredeemable and implacably hostile to everything worthwhile in humanity.
But really you only need turn to that great and brave lady Ayaan Hirsi Ali and her writings. Unlike Christianity which underwent a reformation islam today is as it was 14 centuries ago: a primitive, violent warring cult. Ali, as many women are in islam, was subject to vile GM. I guess that is what attracts dickless to it.

David Hicks?
Pell’s accuser?
Dylan Vollmer?
The nutter who Zachary Rolfe shot?
George Floyd?
OK, they’re just examples, but when was the last time that a leftist advocated for people taking more responsibility for their own life choices and actions?
The teal slags seem to feel they’re not receiving sufficient attention- Daniels slag getting into a bit of sideline diplomacy (hanging around the Chinese Embassy) and now the Ryan slag calling for health summit or sumping. Pea brained, self important lightweights.
It was a rather amateur effort at ‘whatabout-ism’
It is a religion for dummies. Every last aspect of your life is ruled by it. There is no thinking for yourself required. Even the order in which you clip your toenails is mandated by Islam.

Unfortunately, Trump does not and never did reflect the American establishment. I’m not saying it’s genuine, but it certainly can’t be dismissed on that basis.
Two points:
1) It’s political risk, not sovereign risk;
2) The EU electricity market is very far from ‘open’, stable and unregulated. It is awash with subsidies, rules, risk management strategies, and contingency powers granted to an alphabet of regulators and system managers – all of which change constantly. Ask investors in coal fired generation about market risk.
The marginal political risk of stripping the ability of rentiers to earn windfall returns of the current stupid levels – in an obviously failed regulated market – is dwarfed by the risk to the European social economy of laying back.
Don’t disturb my peace

Revolting revisionist history you say, Bespoke.
How so?
Almost 24 hrs since the procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall, carrying the mortal remains of the former Queen for the lying in state.
Quite a pageant to watch. Slow marched the whole way.
Lifeguards (afoot) in front, then the Royal Horse Artillery pulling the gun carriage (commanded by a female officer) flanked by Grenadier Guards.
Marching behind the gun carriage were here four children (Chilla Rex, Anne, Randy Andy & Eddie), abreast in order of birth. Behind them Prince Bill, the Ginger Californian, Mr. Peter Phillips (Anne’s oldest boy) & some other rooster I didn’t recognise.
ABCTV experts informed us viewers that King Chilla was dressed “as a Field Marshall” & carrying a Field Marshall’s baton.
Just as well the ABCTV were there to tell us that, otherwise we’d have thought the blue/grey uniform was that of the R.A.F. & the rank insignia on his sleeve was that of Marshall of the R.A.F.

The first few minutes were interesting, when SkyTVUK spoke to a few queued up mourners, old blokes in Royal Marines beret, old dears who looked like they should be at afternoon tea, that sort of thing.
Absolutely no idea what they were saying, accents thicker than cold jam. The Sky UK honey interviewing them seemed to think there was no problem – so it wasn’t Welsh language, though you’d never have known the difference.

Any Cats have experience /knowledge of having a greyhound as a pet?
I browsed the net for plenty of information but would love to hear from anyone who actually knows.
Frog bastard.
Whippets – like chocolate.
Whippets, belonging to friends, which liked and tolerated chocolates. Not quite greyhounds, I know.
Otherwise, it’s been Cairn Terriers all the way down.
Greyhounds are good dogs. Smoochy, don’t need as much exercize as you’d reckon. 4 foot fences are fine, bcos of their long flexy backs.
To be mercenary, check their teeth and lumbar spine, or you’re in for a decade of visits to the vets.
Had a greyhound-borzoi cross for a week- he was a magnificent dog. But uncontrollable around sheep, no blood lust but run around them at, no kidding, i reckon 80km/h. The whippet-kelpie in my avatar could hold 50, 60 for a burst, current whippet-koolie gets up to 50 but very hard to excite him enough. He does run down foxes in the bush tho, so it’s not like i’m dissappointed.
A sight hound cross with a working dog is called a lurcher- join the club, they are tops for the fam on the land. All the brains of a shepherd, but with added speed and a more easygoing work ethic.
I reckon a greyhound with good choppers and a calm disposition ( try lobbing a saucepan lid on the floor when they’re not concentrating) would be a perfect pet too.
…and whatever you do, don’t let a Greyhound Rescue group get your details. I love animals and respect charity, but the sanctimoniousness of the crowd that says “i care most deeply about these benighted beasts, therefore i will be the arbiter of an entire species… and lord it over you lesser, less empathetic humans while i’m at it too” is a bit much.
Thanks Wally.
Finally got onto an old mate who has had a greyhound pet for a few years – mentioned about teeth/vet bills. Wonder if that’s a diet thing?
Reckons they’re the most placid and loyal pets. Walks his twice a day for about 20 minutes. Then it sleeps for about 18 hours a day.
Every now and then it goes zoom and gallops flat out around the back yard for 10-20 seconds. Had a labrador that used to go loony like that now and then.
There’s a few organisations that place greyhounds as pets where you can adopt one for a while until it’s placed. Might try that to see if I can overcome domestic opposition based on myths about size/vicious/muzzles/exercise etc. Only trouble with that is I wouldn’t want to give it back.
We’ll see. Thanks for your input.

It seems that the disjunct between the media and of the voters is that of one which reflects the difference between what is true and what is contrived – meaning that discursive field as it stands is that which is set by the media. Or so they think.

Fun fact – there has been so little rain falling in the lakes district in Croatia that they are having trouble with water supply to the villages. Tomorrow they turn the water off at 9am to ration it.

Calli, lack of rain also affects the falls. The first time we visited Plitvice Lakes in 1996, just after a week of rain, the falls were spectacular. The next time we visited with our daughter in 2003, a dry summer in Europe, the falls were a mere trickle. Ah well.

[DB: Here’s a test for everyone. How about you behave your age and not expect me or anyone else to clean up after you? I had other things on this morning and shouldn’t expect this place to turn into a shitshow every day simply because I haven’t looked in on it in one morning.]
Really!
Since when did vaxx refusal become a universal ‘principle’?
One can be principled on either side of this debate.
Just as one can be principled on both sides of the conscientious objection debate.
Or many other contentious issues.
Oh. Righto. Wasn’t aware of that.
Although, and in the interests of balance, Kenn Worth brought the matter of his own kin into the debate. This was before he started smacking up other people’s family members, unprompted.
[DB: Why repeat a comment I’ve deleted previously? It makes your earlier question appear disingenuous.]
For clarity:
I know would like to not see St. Ruth, the Bringer of Light and Deliverer from Death CamPs on this august journal of record. I’m for keeping him.
He’s funny, and also serves as an example of one aspect of the human condition – the instinct to, when sliding down the wrong side of a disagreement, to increase stridency and volume – and then mistake that process for ‘truth-telling’ and, eventually, winning.
Maybe.
I am just interested in consistency.

Geez. Where are my smokes?

Just looking for consistent application of these mysterious “new rules”.
Not banning.
Heaven forbid.
He’s our village idiot and we will not surrender him easily.
Watching yet further footage of ‘Er Maj being wheeled around what seems like the entirety of England.
This walking-pace pageantry must be one of the most tempting targets of all time for the swarthy explodey types.
There must be an almighty security operation going on in the background, complete with quite a bit of hoping and wishing.
The Cat’s Greatest Hits.
They don’t write ’em like that any more.
The rhyming of “gotta poo” with “vindaloo” in the chorus was genius.

…
Sure.
Not me 5 o’clock Charlie is a warning to others. Seen and dealt with such types. Loud mouths but when confronted turn into girly men. A male frightbat.
That’s not an ambulance.
It’s the onboard Kenworth “Low on Trousers” warning.
Fun fact – there has been so little rain falling in the lakes district in Croatia that they are having trouble with water supply to the villages. Tomorrow they turn the water off at 9am to ration it.
Meanwhile, water pressure can’t be maintained. I’m on the 2nd floor, so that’s going to be interesting.
Sounds like you were kidnapped and taken to Jackson, Mississippi
Last night lots of critical comments on TEALS.
Not many critical comments on the voters…
the lot … no trumps
Get fucked Franx.
Watched a tall Sikh guy unload a car carrier yesterday. Cars rolling off and on like clockwork, then away to another job in no time.
I don’t know about his driving skills but the work ethic was impressive.
Sure.
Never been wrong in his life, except for when he was. Changed his short pants at school for short pants at work. Still wearing short pants. Reminds me of mick trumble ad on channel 9 striding along with his briefcase, the ever ready schoolboy. Another one who’s never been wrong.
Who Ranga?
Get fucked struth.
Missed by a few days (8 Sept 1973) but still worth catching up .. Margaret Court .. LOL!

I’ve been given a jar of home made sauerkraut with apple & ginger.
Any Cats know what/how I should be consuming it?
The inter webs aren’t all that helpful.
Any news on Vlad the shirtless latest victorys?
Cook up a steak through the jar away, bern.
But I’m not a cat.

Straight from the jar with pork sausages…anything pork.
I have now problem criticizing teal voters. As I’ve repeated – Mosman where your brain goes to die.
Bunion poultice.
Probably best to employ an InSinkErator.
Hey shaterzzz – can you forward that Margaret Court photo to Serena please?
Make sure to include the caption “24th Grand Slam”.
O Grate Sneerer in Chief. Correct spelling of grate. Low trouser warning had me going Thancho. Just as well I’d finished my coffee.

For some reason the YT algorithm thought I’d be interested in the tallest girl in the village.
The world’s greatest bloke, and a loving father (the Hun):
He’d just been to a mate’s place where he worked his way through a carton of stubbies, shots of JD and several cones when he rocked up to a servo with his missus and daughter. In the servo was a 73 year old bloke, a regular there and well known in the town as its postmaster.
The inevitable happens, given that this bloke’s a shitbag of the first order:
The effects of the ‘thunk’:
And:
Waiting now for the ‘but addict’ and ‘mental health’ defences. This sort of thing is how lynch mobs get started.
The always entertaining Russell Brand on the dem’s funding of MAGA candidates.
They’re extremists and dangerous, right? So let’s flick them some money!

Simon Charles Dorante-Day would do well to remember the traditional fate of pretenders to the Throne – they wake up one morning on Tower Hill, with their head singing “I Aint Got No Body..”
Sounds more closely related to AnAl.

Lard arse the Fraud aka the member for Kooyong has been well and truly exposed for the hypocrite she is however the MSM, particularly their ABC, will deliberately run quiet on it because it doesn’t fit their narrative.
But you’re right, the real problem when discussing the Teals and the Greens isn’t them per se, it’s the well heeled scum of this country’s more salubrious suburbs who vote for them and the blame lies squarely with the scum of Kooyong, Goldstein, Wentworth, Warringah, Mackellar, Curtin and North Sydney. They are the ones who have vomited up this garbage and therefore gifted us Lard Arse, Zoo Daniel, Lidia Thorpe, Mehreen Faruqi, and creepy little fascist Adam Bandt.

Yep, lithium battery fires are closer to blow torches than slow smoke and flames. They will be banned from buildings (and lifts!) and carparks before long and should be – once the battery is damaged or develops a fault, it short circuits and burns – putting it out is useless as the damaged battery just heats up again and away we go. As the clip showed, CO2 and powder are particularly useless as they don’t reduce the heat.
In my days as a volunteer fireman, our SOP for Tesla fires was to order 10 tons of water and quarantine for 3 days! (no – never went to one).
