Well, just said farewell to the last of the progeny plus their progeny. Until the Christmas rush.

Something disturbing that I noticed – they are all utterly exhausted. They are workers, hard workers. Long hours, conscientious. Reading between the lines, they are picking up the slack of others who are continuing in their jobs and collecting salaries but “laying down”.

This can’t go on. The cab horse will be dead in the traces soon if this is being replicated in workplaces across the country.

Footage of the B-17/King Cobra prang on Outsiders.

The Cobra approached it from the left and behind, and just spanged straight into it cutting the tail off the 17.

Both down and boom within one second or so.

Lots of imported fresh food gets irradiated to kill zee bugs.
It’s harmless.

Zee bugs, eh?
Poppy seeds are irradiated, to prevent Poppy growing, since it kills the life force in the seed.
Everything else is fumigated with Methyl Chloride.
Basically, irradiation of food is nuking the food with ionizing radiation.
It spells the end of Fruit & Veg growing in Australia, since the irradiated fruit has a shelf life of forever.

Democrats and Regulators

November 12, 2022 – sundance

FTX crypto currency exchange CEO Sam Bankman-Fried is a major donor to multiple progressive causes and politicians. This week as FTX starts to collapse, the financial system underneath the exchange looks more like a Ponzi scheme falling apart.

The CEO had been a major donor to regulators on Capitol Hill, and the tentacles of FTX extend to Ukraine where Sam Bankman-Fried was operating to support the Ukraine government with crypto currency collections and donations. The FTX corporation and CEO Sam Bankman-Fried is now under multiple investigations. Here’s the 90-second recap of the current dynamic. WATCH:

FTX Founder Spent $40 Million As Democrat Midterm Megadonor

Leading up to Sam Bankman-Fried’s spectacular implosion – in which his firm FTX evaporated billions in wealth after the now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange allegedly commingled client assets with his trading firm into a liquidity crunch – he became the sixth-largest donor in this year’s midterm election cycle, giving some $40 million to mostly Democratic candidates and causes.

According to Forbes, Bankman-Fried was second only to George Soros among billionaire donors to Democratic groups during the 2022 midterm election cycle.

What is woke?

This is a really good question. Woke isn’t cultural marxism. It’s a cult first and foremost, it tolerates no open debate and no free speech. It is a merger of social justice, cultural marxism, crony capitalism, communism and globalism. Its aim is the one world technocratic totalitarian government. It masquerades as benevolent, but its goals align entirely with those of its corporate sponsors. Woke Economic Forum is currently the core driver of this fascism.

Annette Sharp in the Tele hits the bullseye:

When a celebrity is caught behaving badly we’re routinely told they have undiagnosed mental health problems.

As history shows, it can make an effective legal defence.

She goes on to mention Andrew O’Keefe and Matthew Newton, as well as NFL bloke Curtis Scott and drug-fucked lunatic Ben Cousins and soapie poof Ian Stenlake. All had been dragged before the courts, mostly for smacking up women, before raising the ‘mental health’ canard.

How very compassionate of us, and in some cases such as the Slater example, how stupid.

And:

It is long past time a more rigorous legal blowtorch was applied to the “mental health” defence.

Surovikin’s Difficult Choice

Russia Abandons Kherson

Big Serge – 1 hr ago

In January, 1944, the newly reconstituted German Sixth Army found itself in an operationally cataclysmic situation in the southern bend of the Dnieper River, in the area of Krivoi Rog and Nikopol. The Germans occupied a dangerous salient, jutting out precariously into the Red Army’s lines. Vulnerable on two awkward flanks, and facing an enemy with superiority in manpower and firepower, any general worth his salt would have sought to withdraw as soon as possible. In this case, however, Hitler insisted that the Wehrmacht hold the salient, because the region was Germany’s last remaining source of manganese – a mineral crucial for making high quality steel.

A year prior, in the opening weeks of 1943, Hitler had intervened in another, more famous battle, forbidding the previous incarnation of the Sixth Army from breaking out of a pocket forming around it at Stalingrad. Prohibited from withdrawing, the Sixth was annihilated wholesale.

In both of these cases, there was a clash between pure military prudence and broader political aims and needs. In 1943, there was neither a compelling military nor political reason to keep the 6th Army in the pocket at Stalingrad – political intervention in military decision making was both senseless and disasterous. In 1944, however, Hitler (however difficult it is to admit it) had a valid argument. Without manganese from the Nikopol area, German war production was doomed. In this case, political intervention was perhaps warranted. Leaving an army in a vulnerable salient is bad, but so is running out of manganese.

These two tragic fates of the Sixth Army illustrate the salient issue today: how do we parse the difference between military and political decision making? More specifically, to what do we attribute the shocking Russian decision to withdraw from the west bank of the Dnieper in Kherson oblast, after annexing it just a few months ago?

I would like to parse through this issue. First off, one cannot deny that the withdrawal is politically a significant humiliation for Russia. The question becomes, however, whether this sacrifice was necessary on military or political grounds, and what it may signify about the future course of the conflict.

As I see it, the withdrawal from west bank Kherson must be driven by one of the four following possibilities:

1. The Ukrainian Army has defeated the Russian Army on the west bank and driven it back across the river.

2. Russia is setting a trap in Kherson.

3. A secret peace agreement (or at least ceasefire) has been negotiated which includes giving Kherson back to Ukraine.

4. Russia has made a politically embarrassing but militarily prudent operational choice.

Let us simply run through these four and examine them in sequence.

From BB @ 10:13

We really can’t do things the way they were into the future.

No successful farmer is.

Major changes could include more food grown in greenhouses, turning to legumes for protein instead of meat and finding ways to reduce food waste.

Lets assume everyone decided to “eat legumes” for their protein.
Can the good professor explain how the world could reliably synthesize enough protein to sustain the projected population increase utilising only plant based sources, because lets face it, that is the fervent wish of many a climate zealot.

Not all agricultural areas of the world are suited to reliable legume production.

Ironically, greenhouses pump in CO2 for increased production.

Meanwhile, the “never ending drought” continues. We are now at 33 inches rainfall for the calendar year and it’s about to Flannery again.

You’ll have to forgive my cynicism re Professor Tony Bacic, who I think has felt the need to spout out something, anything, to justify his existence.

Works the other way too. Often have I patted derg when out walking, having encountered lady-with-derg. I get wistful gazes, it’s fun. A natural talent. With the derg. Helped by the fact that my hand smells of Coles mince.

This morning was fun by what didn’t happen. On Sundays I don’t go for a walk in the morning. Day of rest etc. So two hours after my non appearance the whole tribe of pied butcherbirds from the foreshore turned up. Where is our mince?

They were given that which they demanded and were happy. Five of them. Friday and Saturday they’d spotted me down on the foreshore when I was out walking and got their fix then, so those days they didn’t make the trek to the Cafe.

Friday was extra fun: some seagulls were at the pier at the foreshore, so I offered some mince. Whoosh! A dozen of them immediately at my feet. Got one to accept a lump from my hand too. Maybe five years since I last tried this trick. Seagulls are complete mendicants, and brave as.

Teacher shortage: McGowan Government offering cash incentives for educators to go bush
Joe Spagnolo The West Australian
Sun, 13 November 2022 2:00AM

6:32 | The West Australian

The McGowan Government is offering more cash incentives — of up to $17,000 — to teachers in a desperate bid to lure them to the bush.

Faced with teacher shortages in some of the state’s most remote areas, the government is forking out $12.4 million next year as a one-off temporary initiative to tackle the problem.

Nearly 50 remote schools have been identified by the Department of Education as needing help at attracting – and keeping – teachers.

The payments range from $5000 to $17,000 – depending on the location – with a percentage paid upon commencement of employment and the remainder paid to those staff who remain all year.

“Fortunately WA is not currently facing teacher supply issues of the scale being experienced on the east coast, but the numbers are getting tighter,” Education Minister Sue Ellery said.

“The Department of Education has been examining which of our public schools are most likely to be impacted by any teacher shortfall in 2023 and 48 remote and regional schools have been identified as needing additional support to attract and retain staff for next year.”

The new payments are on top of existing financial incentives to attract teachers to remote areas.

The total incentives to go bush could total $30,000 – nearly half of some teacher’s base salary.

A full-time graduate teacher at the Wananami Remote Community School, for example, would receive a base salary of $76,530, a graduate teacher allowance of $1600 per annum, locality allowance of $4798, a remote teaching service allowance of $20,870 and now and a new additional $5000 incentive payment – for a total salary of $108,798.

A full-time level 3 classroom teacher at Meekatharra District High School would receive a base salary of $122,308, locality allowance of $1829, a country teaching programme allowance of $13,730 and the new incentive payment of $17,000 – for a total salary of $154,967.

“This new immediate measure is targeted to support WA’s hardest-to-staff regional and remote schools and their students throughout the 2023 school year,” Ms Ellery said.

“The new incentive payments present passionate teachers with a fantastic opportunity to earn up to $30,000 on top of their current salary and make a positive difference to the lives of young regional Western Australians, while experiencing all that our great State has to offer.”

About 30,000 WA public teachers received a three per cent wage increase in September.

Th State Government also announced that teachers would receive a one-off $3000 cost of living payment as part of a new agreement.

Probably something to do with the way they prostrated themselves in front of the kings/emperors?

Thailand one of the few independent Monarchies left still had that custom till the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej or Rama IX. He strongly discouraged it practise but was that respected by the lower & middle classes they continued with it till his withdrawal from public life.

Interesting how many Chinese dynasty customs were adopted by the Siamese but they in a large part retained a distinct identity. My travels of Vietnam found a much stronger Chinese influence but they have been subjugated for all but 4 centuries of their existence.

I just received some awful news. We’ve known a couple for decades and we often see each other once a month or so either for dinner at our respective homes, or just eating out. This great gal has endured breast cancer and then bone cancer, which she’s fought like a demon for the past 12 or so years. She’s a mere slip of a girl, but the fight in her has been truly inspiring having dealt with chemo for most of those years. Early last year, she was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer. Although she went through brain surgery and another round of chemo the type she had was terminal. The gate was shut in terms of recovery. I was just notified she’s gone downhill this week in a big way in terms of neurological function, and she’s had enough. In a week or so, while we’re away she will terminate. I can’t help but support her decision. God will be kind to her, I’m sure.

Should one be in possession of a wedding ring, despite not being married, and should one (on certain occasions, not every time) decide to wear said ring on certain occasions, and should you have both a) a not-too-complicated yet suitable backstory and b) a level of personality above that of a trilobyte, you are generally in a position to turn the tables on these predating women and rack them up.

I was on a naval exercise in the Indian Ocean in 1972 and was in a 17’ boat with an outboard motor being lowered to me on one of the forward cranes of HMAS Stalwart. I grabbed hold of the motor and the ship rolled away so the outboard went up rapidly with it. I let go of the outboard but my wedding ring didn’t.

The scar covers half of my ring finger, the bone was visible and I have never worn another ring of any sort till this day, 50 years later… and never will.

Media Declaring Democrat Victory in Nevada Senate Race, Amid Significant Disparity Between Governor Race Outcome in Same State
November 12, 2022 | sundance

The media is declaring Democrats have won the Nevada senate race with Catherine Cortez Masto defeating Republican Adam Laxalt. This gives the Senate to the Democrats with 50 seats, Republicans with 49 and the Georgia runoff still outstanding. [Media Report]

Something is very weird about this Nevada outcome, when you compare the Governor race on the same ballot.

With Laxalt previously ahead, and with his previous vote percentage in alignment with Republican Governor Candidate Joe Lombardo, it appeared Laxalt was positioned for victory. However, apparently the Democrats gained post-election ballots where the Democrat on the Senate race was supported, but the Democrat in the Governor race was not.

Get a load of this. This was the management team at FTX – the crypto exchange.

Sam Bankman-Fried’s crypto empire ‘was run by a gang of kids in the Bahamas’ who all dated each other

“Shocking” is a word that aptly describes the rapid fall of Sam Bankman-Fried’s cryptocurrency empire. To a surprising degree, it’s a sentiment that pours out from people who worked for him, people who you’d think would’ve had a clue.

How can that be? It may have something to do with a luxury penthouse in the Bahamas. That’s where 30-year-old Bankman-Fried is roommates with the inner circle who ran his now-struggling crypto exchange FTX and trading giant Alameda Research.

Many are former co-workers from quantitative trading firm Jane Street, others he met at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, his alma mater. All 10 are, or used to be, paired up in romantic relationships with each other. That includes Alameda CEO Caroline Ellison, whose firm played a central role in the company’s collapse – and who, at times, has dated Bankman-Fried, according to people familiar with the matter.

CoinDesk spoke to several current and former FTX and Alameda employees who agreed to talk on the condition of anonymity, citing ongoing harassment and death threats due to the exchange’s solvency issues. And they said essentially this: It’s a place full of conflicts of interest, nepotism and lack of oversight.

“The whole operation was run by a gang of kids in the Bahamas,” a person familiar with the matter told CoinDesk on the condition of anonymity.

FTX and Alameda employees CoinDesk interviewed say they have been kept in the dark about the events of the past week, adding that only CEO Bankman-Fried’s inner circle may have had knowledge that the exchange, as reported by the Wall Street Journal, siphoned customer funds into corporate sibling Alameda.

“It’s been radio silence from Sam,” a second Bankman-Fried employee told CoinDesk on Wednesday. “When we saw the CZ [CEO Changpeng Zhao] tweet saying Binance was going to buy FTX, we honestly thought it was fake. But then Sam’s tweet just confirmed it.”

Bankman-Fried finally addressed employees later on Wednesday — a week after a CoinDesk article set the crisis in motion — writing, “I completely understand if you want to step away,” per an internal message to employees viewed by CoinDesk.

Among his nine housemates are FTX co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Gary Wang, FTX Director of Engineering Nishad Singh and Ellison of Alameda, Bankman-Fried’s trading business that’s at the center of the current chaos and on which the Wall Street Journal reported got $10 billion of FTX customer money. The remaining six are also FTX employees.

“Gary, Nishad and Sam control the code, the exchange’s matching engine and funds,” the first person familiar with the matter said. “If they moved them around or input their own numbers, I’m not sure who would notice.”

A third person familiar with how the company operated said: “They’ll do anything for each other.”

Bankman-Fried and Ellison did not respond to a request for comment sent directly to them. Wang and Singh could not be reached for comment. A spokesperson for FTX was also asked to pass on CoinDesk’s request for comment to Bankman-Fried, Ellison, Wang and Singh.

Bankman-Fried’s father, Stanford Law professor Joseph Bankman, also plays a role at the company. He appeared on an episode of the “FTX Podcast” in August, describing charity and regulation-related projects in which he was involved.

Wang, Singh and Ellison also comprise the board of Bankman-Fried’s FTX Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the company. Several housemates, including Bankman-Fried and Ellison, are active participants in effective altruism, a movement that “aims to find the best ways to help others,” possibly through philanthropy.

In the Bahamas, FTX and Alameda’s offices are also located steps apart in a coworking compound in the Bahamas that also housed Solana developers and other crypto incubation projects.

“All of the stakeholders would have a hard look at FTX governance,” tweeted Bankman-Fried on Thursday. “I will not be around if I’m not wanted.”

While some FTX employees have voiced approval for Bankman-Fried’s more frequent communication of late, others are not so consoled.

“Some employees kept their life savings on FTX,” the second anonymous employee told CoinDesk. “We trusted that everything was fine.”

Repeating this as it goes with the comment below.

That includes Alameda CEO Caroline Ellison, whose firm played a central role in the company’s collapse – and who, at times, has dated Bankman-Fried, according to people familiar with the matter.

Did you see the way the gullible right were soothed into acceptance these midterms?

Slowly but surely they’ll work it out, but only after they’ve played straight into the left’s hands and disowned Trump.

Who do you think is going to win the Victorian election with Dan only having ten followers in total who spend their entire life as his propaganda army on twitter?

Dan is going to win.

Not because he has the votes but because in all of the west, the left has marched it’s many gendered, rainbow climate change, virtue signalling, godless, narcissistic, useful idiots and knowing political hacks into all institutions of government and many private ones as well.

The Hill publishes a ‘plan’ to make Gavin Newsom president without a vote

Douglas MacKinnon, writing for The Hill, proposed a ‘game plan’ to help the Democrats win the presidency in 2024 by making Gavin Newsom president now.

According to MacKinnon, a writer for Reagan and Bush senior, the plan is quite simple:

If the answer is “yes,” the “solution” is really not complicated at all. In one scenario, Biden could ask Harris to resign and replace her with Newsom, who then becomes the heir apparent for 2024. Or Biden could replace Harris with Newsom and then resign himself, making Newsom the president before 2024 and arming him with the full force of the Oval Office.

Yes, you heard that right. We’ve been getting gaslit for months about the ‘end of democracy’, and this guy wants to completely circumvent the democratic process by replacing the president without an election, solely to increase Democrat chances of maintaining power in 2024. Never Trumpish, former conservatives are something else.

This take was even too much for most people on both sides of the aisle.

And another thing, speaking of our home-grown Borg…

If you think aged care is expensive now…you ain’t seen nothing yet. I mentioned the new IR legislation up thread. The unions are gunning for what once were church-based NFP organisations because they believe workers are paid too little. Trouble is some of the people on the boards are all too amenable to union dominance because they are part of the creature themselves.

Naturally the state picks up the tab with magic money, including their own fat salaries.

Krysten Sinema is who you are thinking of, JC. It is a good thing for Democrats that they can pick off one of her and Manchin to support bills in future, assuming Warnock wins his fourth election.

I wouldn’t be flabbergasted if she flips to Republicans, actually. Not that it would make a hell of a lot of difference to her voting record.

Be honest Munty.

The Dems covered their tracks by telling the voters that inflation is caused by corporate greed.
It seems that corporate greed had been hibernating during the extended low interest rate and inflation period only to awaken and attack the unsuspecting Dem administration.

I don’t judge him on his past as a drug mule. That was over thirty years ago. Coutts-Trotter went to prison, he did his time and since then he’s atoned and has pursued a career path which he’s excelled at. Alan Jones remains a friend to both Coutts-Trotter and Plibersek, despite their clear ideological differences. I think most people only bring up his past because he’s married to Labor’s Plibersek.

If not, why not?

How can they succeed in doing so now?

Our guns have been taken (mostly) ….but either way, the government are not scared of the people anymore.

And don’t think for a moment our own Borg haven’t watched and learned and copied. They have.

I had hope when President Trump won in ’16.
I maintained that hope until Pence and the USSC stabbed him – and by extension – the US in the back.
But as I said on multiple occasions since then, not one shot has been fired, not one courthouse burnt down, not one act of physical resistance has been taken by the Right.
Instead, the good old boys have taken the rifles out of their cupboards and polished them and put them back. They’ve gone to the range to commiserate with their buddies and watched “The History of the American Civil War” in colour and stereo on their 4K screens while drinking beer.
I don’t expect Australians to do anything either – we never had the distrust of our politicians that seemed to come naturally to the US.

All 10 are, or used to be, paired up in romantic relationships with each other. That includes Alameda CEO Caroline Ellison, whose firm played a central role in the company’s collapse – and who, at times, has dated Bankman-Fried, according to people familiar with the matter.

One of the most insidious aspects of the takeover of language is the use of ‘dated’ as a synonym for ‘had sex with’. That is, unless it means that sex was had up the date.

It’s part of the pornographication of language. ‘Dating’ used to mean going to a movie or having a meal together. Now it means you had sex.

Is there a word for going to a movie or having a meal together, now that ‘dating’ has been expropriated?
