I didn’t imply they were a majority of the population. They were mentioned because they were the majority of the pool of 18 year olds and above not yet double vaxxed, and importantly, they had nothing to worry about from COVID. So, again, the idea they would be left to the wolves without the vax mandate is hysterical nonsense.

I’m just thinking out loud here. This was the point I was trying to get to earlier. How do you think things would have worked out without a state mandate? I don’t know the answer other than having another government intervention in the workplace. The state could have instituted a regulation preventing employees from taking action over COVID. However, this would be as unrealistic as a fat boy suddenly becoming thin.
What do you think would have occurred in Australia without mandates? I’ll tell you what I think. There would have been a complete shitshow of lawsuits against employers on both sides. Let’s say a firm took the view that all employees needed to be vaccinated. Those that weren’t would have sued because their human rights were violated. Those who did not demand vaccination would have been in big trouble if they were caught blaming it on an unsafe workplace.This is Australia this century, as little makes sense. In this case, either way, employers would have their rear ends handed to them. The only way things would work is if employees are employees at will. -

I don’t believe anything you say because you’re an untrustworthy individual. The Doc one being one example of what an untrustworthy person you are. Many times you’ve posted comments to me or about me (indirectly). You have stalked me in the ways we both know, with the example of the voice mail incident being one.

To be honest, I don’t think those two links you left were for Transition.You’re also blind to the negativity of others. I did not strike up a conversation with Trans. He began to troll me, which he does every single time. As for vitriol, I made what would be reasonably considered a fair assessment of your comments to Monster. You cannot justify your opposition to lockdowns and COVID mandates when you’ve supported Duarte’s summary executions and hardcore protectionism. It then just becomes a case of weighing the COVID mandates and laws you prefer against those that you don’t. There is no vitriol there—just an example of highlighting inconsistencies.

When I moved your comment you took it to mean I was against you.
You took it personally.
I was at that time struggling with what to do with comments. It wasn’t ideal and I upset many people. But at least I was trying to contribute to this blog.You’ve brought this up a few times. I don’t know why because I had no idea you moved a comment until you told me. In fact, I didn’t even comment about this.

I think the destruction of the Black Sea fleet will have caught their attention.
Whether it ultimately helps them or discourages them I’m not sure. I’m just being upfront that my immediate interest is with Taiwan, and I see the conflict through that lens. -

Why they would do that is a mystery to me when the Taiwanese gov was very approachable for cooperation, maybe not reunification, a few years ago.
Besides, Taiwan was never a long term province of China anyway.

Had the CCP been more lenient in reducing Hong Kongs democratic traditions, Taiwan may have just fallen into its lap, but you cannot expect a Socialist government to act against its own ideological stance. -
