From Minder(or possibly someone named Joyce):

    On salesmanship …

You make contact with your customer. Understand their needs. And then flog them something they could well do without.

That sounds just like every LayBore Guv’ment in Sunny Australia.

Oh yeah, that fount of endless knowledge.

Well in this place. we now know that the font (and please learn how to spell simple English) of knowledge is not you.

‘font’ and not ‘fount’. Once again you have been ‘fount’ out. LOL

Lord, you’re a cretious loudmouth, Wodney.

When writing, font is going to be more proper for American English usage, while fount is more popular with British English authors. Since both are derived from the word fountain and mean essentially the same, you won’t be criticized if you prefer one over the other.

You seem confused about what this blog does and how the law works.

And you still seem to be having trouble spelling the word ‘limey’. You spell it as ‘limy’ which is so limp wristed of you. Back to school on Monday. Bye.

Thanks! I do try so very hard and don’t always get the recognition I probably deserve.

Last time I looked we still had a working legal system with process for determining guilt or innocence. My 2 cents on Qantas is just an opinion, not a legal charge or court order. You seem confused about what this blog does and how the law works. There is a difference.

Last time I looked I saw that you linked to a set of ACCC allegations, while prior to that you were suggesting Q had committed fraud and the former CEO’s wings should be clipped. Excuse me if I suggested you ought to calm down a little and see what the other side has to say before acting like a one man judge and jury.

If you had any exposure to how revenue management works for a large airline of Qantas size you’d know that it doesn’t stop & the airline operation/survival depends on it completely.

Without further explanation, the above sounds like gibberish. Working in IT doesn’t make you an airline expert. Moreover it doesn’t make you an expert in crisis management, which Q went through when they were allowed to fly. Helping lay out software for a rural airline isn’t the same thing as doing it for Q.

    That and the rostering systems.

Incredible insight. So revenue management includes staff rostering too does it? Unique.

And you can’t spell either. This Juliar Ejucashion Revolution didn’t seem to take off. And all that Taxpayer money that was spent.

Oh well, the YES mob will likely fix it.

To be fair to Alamak, that is not what was asserted.

The words “And” & “Includes” have very different meanings.

(If the word “So” opens a comment, what follows is almost certainly a fabrication or verballing by the author.)
As it is in this case.

Am I? I’m the one suggestion caution because there’s a set of allegations from an untrustworthy entity (ACCC) and I’m the one embarrassing myself? Setting up a book keeping operation for a tiny rural airline isn’t helping your cause to suggest Q was fraudulent along with the CEO.

Do you have any evidence supporting the ACCC other than the allegations?

Not only are you acting as judge and jury, you’re also supporting the politicization of business. If people/ customers believed they were diddled by Q, they can seek legal redress with costs. Siccing a state entity against a business is typical liars party behavior. Congratulations, you’re now a comrade.

Joyce’s big mistake was not paying back the money for cancelled flights.

JC> I wouldn’t call Cathay Pacific a “tiny rural airline”. And the data behind ACCC actions is recorded in multiple systems and shared with airports, govt, partners, security services etc.

Lets see what the legal process ends up producing. From my p.o.v. Qantas is on the nose and taking people’s money for cancelled services is not just sharp practice or clever business its basic fraud.

A few weeks ago you were telling us you worked at BAC, Merrill Lynch and now you’re running the IT system for Cathay. Umm Okay.

Still, you’re not making any valid point to support the initial claims you made that Q and the CEO acted fraudulently. I’ve been saying that we need to be cautious before we throw around these accusations. You disagree.

And the data behind ACCC actions is recorded in multiple systems and shared with airports, govt, partners, security services etc.

WTF are you saying now? Who is doubting that these fares weren’t recorded? You really are the one embarrassing yourself now.

Let’s go back to first base.

You made the claim that Q and CEO acted fraudulently. Provide evidence for the assertion and not some nob ACCC website detailing the flights that were cancelled.

    Go!

We retreated to a small village called Glifa for an overnight rethink. All of central Greece was flooded with very bad headlines So we spent several hours working out our options, and decided on bring our flight forward…back to Oz on Monday night.

Travelling back to Athens was weird, like something out of an “end of the world SF movie”. Very few cars on the main A1 super-highway, and police roadblocks for anything going the other direction – eg: outwards from Athens and northwards. Freeways empty. Cars going the other way were lined up, with police advising them and generally turning them around. But there was one constant – Mrs TE guessed we would have six tolls, we were up to 5 with 100kms to go. They varied from 90p through to seven euros.

We gave car #4 of our travels back to Mr Hertz, and found an Air BnB in a seaside area of Athens. Flying the excellent Qatar Air again home.

Italian people have been a gift to many countries….to Australia, the US, Canada, Argentina, Uruquay, Scotland, England, Wales, Brazil etc.

Looking at the chaotic Italian Parliament and economy, they haven’t done much for Italy.
Maybe they could demand them all back?

There’s essentially two ways to go. Either people who can’t get along ignore each other or the blog owner forces it.
I’m not sure how that would work for some of you because that’s all you do.

FFS. Anyone else smell a stench? The hypocrisy?

Got things to do. I won’t suspend myself in animation awaiting the vitriol that will pervade this blog because of this simple observation.

That comment wasn’t directed to you. It was meant for angry Karen who is equally as stupid and pathetic as you are. You’re aware of this obviously, and trying out some twisted passive aggressive attempt to swing ticks.

And the temerity of your newly found attitude that I shouldn’t talk to you? I’ve been me asking you to stop grovelling to me for 5 years.

You’re such a pathetic, sad individual.

On the way back from the Big Smoke, I stopped at Tambo pub and the place went dead quiet when someone said “I hear there has been a claim made on the Common Property of about 5,000 acres at Barcaldine.”
I haven’t heard anything to support or deny the story, but there are a lot of dodgy claims coming out of the woodwork.

Everyone is so fed up with it and don’t want it for all eternity.

Melbourne has one of those long trams decorated with aboriginal kindergarten style purple, pink and blue swirls and white dots with a brown face or two and slogans in black letters:‘always blak, always will be’.

    They call this reconciliation.

All they’ve done is pissed off the people who pay the billions of dollars each year for their sit down munni.
