So, missed everything having been up and off to work in Bunbury at 5:30am. Just walked in the door home.

Any assassination attempts? Did DJT buy Panama? Is DJT already winning (God I hope so!!)… is there a summary of his #winning anywhere???

Most importantly, was Ivanka cold?

No grassy knoll moments.
DJT has signed about 4,000 Executive Orders and basically undone 93.1% of Sleepy Joe’s efforts in a lazy 45 minutes between the Inorkoration and the first ball.
As for Panama, file that under “The Art of The Deal”. He is starting with a “bucket of cold water” ambit. The end game will be price control over transit fees and for Chinah to keep it’s mitts off it.

Some accounts on social media are claiming that when the Screws fot news of the pardon, they set about dishing out one helluva hiding to some J-6ers, going cell to cell.

This, if true, would gel with accounts of the physical & mental abuse some J-6ers have been subject to.

Could Trump send over someone to sort this out?

Victoria’s taxpayer-funded peak Indigenous affairs body, the First People’s Assembly, is under fire for officially calling for people to attend Australia Day protests and for calling for a date change.

Victorian Opposition Leader Brad Battin labelled the advocacy “disappointing”, as he also challenges the state premier to reveal her views.

The Assembly gathered at Collingwood in Melbourne on Tuesday morning, to urge people to sign a petition dubbed “Not a date to celebrate”, which so far has received more than 22,000 signatures.

Former Treaty Advancement Commissioner Aunty Jill Gallagher AO told reporters the date of Australia Day must change from January 26.

“We want to celebrate with you but we can’t celebrate on that date,” Dr Jill Gallagher AO told reporters.

The First People’s Assembly, which budget papers show received $82 million from the Victorian Government in 2023-24, also publicly urged people to attend rallies this weekend in support of the cause.

But Victorian Liberal Leader Brad Battin has hit out at the advocacy, saying a taxpayer funded body should not be calling for people to attend rallies or protests.

“It is very disappointing for people calling for protests including an organisation funded by the Allan Labor Government,” he told Sky News.

“It appears every protest in this state goes back to the Allan Labor Government failing to act or endorsing it.”

“The only person I’m calling out here is Jacinta Allan,” he said.

“Is she for or against Australia Day and if she doesn’t call out protests for what they are, she’s against it,” he said.

Trump’s slogan MAGA would suggest that the US had some deep seated problems.
I’ve visited 5 times, business and pleasure, mostly Midwest, the dying towns are a crying shame, along with the many many shanty towns of single wides, the too many no go areas for whites, the rotting inner suburbs. I travelled mostly with a local so it wasn’t seagulling, she told it like it was.
I remember belting through Ferguson of former fame on the freeway, beautiful Victorian homes, boarded up left to rot, like so many towns with dead donuts and white flight.
The US has great natural beauty and I love New York and bits of Chicago but for sheer tourist Europe is impossible to beat.

Great stroll through twitter this evening so much winning!
Trump might be governing for Americans but every policy will have world wide repercussions from defunding Unwra and WHO, to cutting immigration, kicking out hamas supporters on visas, ending DEI, back to two genders, resuming arms sales to Israel, sending water to California and soon drill baby drill.
It’s revolutionary.

Dead easy. Set an arbitrary dress standard for the particular day, or part day.
The hard part is how to target the “dress standard” to exclude Australia Day colours without actually saying so, whilst letting in everybody else.

This type of exclusion happens more often than some may realise.

Even in Russia they might drop you from a great height if you are becoming a bothersome nuisance but not let you rot in a prison for years without a trial.
(or they can arrange a balcony railing to fail and do it to yourself)

And don’t tell me it’s more humane to keep you locked up for years with no resolution in sight with the prospect of 20 to 30 years of the same if convicted..

As always, scroll if not interested, I always do myself.

Have heard about this town but didn’t know it was a ghost town.

—————–

The Town of Tarcoola, S.A.
Hi all, by Col

No one lives there anymore, the last inhabitants moved out some time ago making it a Bonafide, Ridgy Didge, Dinky Di, Fair Dinkum Aussie Ghost Town.
I
ts not on everyone’s must visit list (which is understandable) but if you do make the effort to go there, this post will let you know what to expect.
Located along the Trans Australian Railway line, roughly 720 ks North West of Adelaide, it was there in 1893 that gold was discovered in the nearby hills. When word got out a rush was on with a goldfield soon developing, it had to be given a name and then right out of the blue, one presented itself, in an unusual way.

Now Aussies are known for liking a punt and the Melbourne Cup had just been run and won (only a matter of weeks after the initial discovery of Gold). The winner was called Tarcoola and one punter/gold digger had won a few bob on the “Nag” so suggested it as a lucky omen!! and that’s how the goldfields (and in time the Towns) name came about.

The horse was from Tarcoola Station located on the Darling River south of Menindee in outback N.S.W. The station was known for one other thing, it was where Bourke and Wills once camped whilst on their now infamous and fateful expedition attempting to cross the country in 1860.

A few years after the initial gold discovery, a town had started to grow near the “Goldfields” with a Post Office opening in August 1900. The town was officially proclaimed six months later with just over 2000 people living in the area.

The “Tarcoola Goldfields” were at their busiest between the years of 1900 to 1912. Gold was sporadically mined after that for another 40 years or so with nearly 2400 kgs of gold being extracted over that period (seems an incredible amount from an area that nearly all have never heard of!!). In today’s money that equates to more than $187,000,000 worth, a nice little earner for some!!

The goldfields and associated mines have been closed for a long time now, still you would think that some nuggets surely must have been missed and able to be found.

So the town and area should possibly be put on your bucket list after all, a truly abandoned town pretty well in the middle of nowhere.

Excellent piece by Steyn.

Get their names and inflict consequences. The problem with any bloated bureaucratic state is that minor functionaries start thinking like Louis XIV: LÉtatc’est moi.

This is the same here. The local stark contrast is a visit to Services NSW and its Commonwealth equivalent a few doors down. The former – they can’t do enough for you. The entry “kiosk” is staffed by happy, switched on young men who want to help.

Down the road, a different story. The walls are papered with warnings not to be abusive to staff. The only males in evidence are security guards. Two completely different public service cultures.

I have found the same thing calli. Service NSW so helpful when I was lodging documents to remove trees from my beachhouse. I rarely have interaction with Commonwealth entities, mostly ATO. They actually got shiitty when I told them their on-line forms don’t work for me. I ended up going into an office where they berated me for not using the on-line forms. When I showed them what happened it was somehow my fault. Hit and miss at ACT CONNECT. When they made a spelling mistake on data entry it was supposedly up to me to correct it. I said you have all my data on file, why do I have to prove who I am for you to correct it. I did the Karen bit. Can I speak to your manager please. Even after the manager signed off the clerk is still carrying on that its not the way to do it. Never have seen that person back there.

On those pardons…

An attempt to hide trees in a forest.

The Hunter one was got out of the way early, like a lodestone it drew attention and was an obvious counter to obvious criminality.

Then the slew of unconnected, if annoying pardons for a grab bag of people possibly not connected to Biden at all, but to the shadowy figures handling him. Some may have been several stages removed. But opportunity knocked and it was taken.

These eleventh hour ones are the biggies, particularly the family ones tucked in amongst criminals like Fauci and Cheyney. They might not face federal charges now, but state ones? Possible.

Biden has cemented himself in the history books as the first real life Corleone to sit unabashed behind the Resolute desk.

January 6 Hostages Still TRAPPED Inside DC GULAG – Jake Lang Assaulted by Guards Last Night Trying to Leave Jail

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/01/january-6-hostages-still-trapped-inside-dc-gulag/

When January 6 Political Prisoner Jake Lang, who has spent 4 years and 5 days incarcerated without a trial – was packed and waiting to be released, he was brutally swarmed and assaulted inside the jail by prison guards Lt Allen & his Emergency Response Team (ERT).

I would not want to be in Lt Allen’s shoes when Trump gets hold of him.

That can’t be right. Daytime Sky news just told me the “rioters” had been convicted.

And they concentrated on the Proud Boys, not the hapless Joe Blows who entered the spider’s lair by being invited in by Capitol police. Not a word about those more egregious offenders who will have their cases reviewed. They are not off the hook.

Naturally, Pelosi’s indignant letter was referenced, along with Trump’s legal issues. The woman who had Sicknik’s body displayed under the Dome for crass political purposes. Nothing surprises about the baggage who took a knee of deference to George Floyd.

I have read the Steyn piece about it, I have a great fear that Trump will fail, he is facing an unashamedly fearless foe in the deep swamp.

All they they have to do is wait him out and delay any and all orders.
Sorry to say, he can’t win, best he can do is defer the inevitable, all the euphoria about the inauguration will fade into memory soon enough.

Doesn’t matter who he puts in the top position, there are thousands nay, tens of thousands in the ranks who can simply stop or delay any new orders.
Anyone familiar with the public service knows this to be the case.
They have all the time and means to do it.

As always, I hope I am wrong, but history tells me otherwise.

They can do that if they want Republicans to use it in their election campaigns and then win those elections. They will find that people are just fed up with such behaviour particularly now when there is a president who tells them it’s OK to be pissed off at such tactics.

Portrait of Traitor Mark Milley Removed Immediately From The Pentagon – Two Weeks After It Was Unveiled!

Milley, a former U.S. Army General who served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Donald Trump and Joe Biden, committed an act of treason in the final days of the first Trump presidency by speaking to the Chinese Foreign Minister without the permission of the commander-in-chief.

Trump Brings Back The Winston Churchill Bust Back to the Oval Office (21 Jan)

A bust of Winston Churchill’s head has been in a game of political football for over 15 years, with Democrat Presidents removing it from the Oval Office and President Trump putting it back again.

He’s also returned the flags of the branches of the U.S. armed forces which Biden had removed as well. Hopefully Vance will win in 2028 so that poor Mr Churchill gets a rest from Winston Tennis.

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/despite-biden-pardon-fauci-still-faces-legal-perils-here-they-are

These pardons will not stop Department of Justice investigations,” said one adviser to the Trump transition team, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “We expected this and look at it as a predicate to get truth from people who can no longer use the Fifth Amendment. Now we can bring every one of them in front of a grand jury.”

Yep. Along with the pardon comes the loss of the right to not self incriminate.
Biden was too clever by far, now they are going to cop a dose of the Lawfare they inflicted on others. Reaping the whirlwind etc.

Just watched a clip of a robed priestess lecturing Trump at the interfaith service in Washington.

She’s fortunate she lives in a country where you can say such things in safety. No fear of imprisonment or attack. She might like to reflect on that and rejoice in it rather than harangue a man who has been pursued relentlessly for years by his political opponents. Unlike her, in her lofty pulpit and looking down on lesser beings, he was shot at.

A reporter asked him what he thought of the service. No much, not particularly exciting was the reply.

The attack on the young Lifeguard at a pool in Victoria may be the straw that broke the back of the “men with no appearance”, garbage we are always handed.
Clear footage of the scrotes has been used and, they were even described as being of “middle eastern appearance”. woot!

Perhaps a dim light bulb went off in Vicpol’s head and thought, “hmmm, this could lead to a Cronulla confrontation if we don’t get on top of it quick smart.

Yeah, Sky News had another one like this yesterday:

Teens found hiding in cupboards following month-long alleged crime spree involving home and car burglaries across Brisbane (21 Jan)

Queensland Police have charged four teenagers with a string of offences, alleging they stole vehicles and broke into several homes in a crime spree that spanned over more than a dozen Brisbane suburbs between December 29 and January 15.

Body-worn footage shows police searching a home in Tingalpa, Brisbane, where they found an allegedly stolen car in the garage.

The four teenagers were arrested after police found some of them hiding in bedroom cupboards.

Their faces have been fuzzed in the photos but there’s something about them that seems…I don’t know, it is so hard to jump to conclusions and all.

This is about Muslim appropriation of public spaces. They do it at parks, sports grounds, and even kiddies playgrounds.
All part of the playbook.
You see it with the prayers across streets, in the boarding aisles of aircraft, the takeover of parks for their eternal prayer meetings.
It is religious and social intimidation and the police refuse to stop them.
But they don’t do it in their own countries – it isn’t tolerated.

MAID: Why the Government Wants You to Kill Yourself – Kelsi Sheren

The video “MAID: Why the Government Wants You to Kill Yourself” on the Triggernometry channel features Kelsi Sheren discussing Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) program. Sheren argues that MAID has transformed into a mechanism resembling eugenics, targeting vulnerable groups such as the disabled, homeless, and those with mental health issues. She expresses concern that the program is used not as a last resort for the terminally ill but as an option for non-terminal conditions, which she views as a moral and ethical crisis. Sheren highlights the slippery slope of expanding MAID legislation, including its potential inclusion for children and those with mental illnesses. She provides alarming statistics about the increasing number of assisted deaths, especially in Quebec. Sheren criticizes those lobbying for MAID and suggests they misrepresent public opinion, arguing the program is more about cost-saving than compassion. The conversation also explores the potential for alternative treatments, such as psychedelics, and criticizes the pharmaceutical industry’s influence. The hosts and Sheren agree on the need for better allocation of resources and more supportive societal structures to prevent the conditions leading to euthanasia. Sheren emphasizes the importance of community, purpose, and alternative health treatments in combating the despair that might lead individuals to consider MAID.

From the always marvellous Mark Steyn, whose writings I recall first stumbling upon way back in 2001 (a different time, a different universe)….

Get their names and inflict consequences.

Yes, there must be consequences. You cannot turn the other cheek to leftist malfeasance or even leftist bureaucratic stupidity. The problem with the right is that for too long, for too many days, months, years and decades, we played civil, Queensberry rules and all that crapola, meanwhile the left were jumping, stomping, abusing, threatening, cancelling and silencing those who they deemed ‘ideological enemies’.

That time is now over, finito, and that includes here in Oz.

I was heartened at last night’s protest by the speakers alluding to the two tier policing that has been happening on our streets since October 7. There is huge anger in the community about the months of open Jew hatred on our streets, culminating in an attack on a children’s day care centre. One speaker spoke about how our governments, federal and state, are also funding these leftist Jew haters on the ABC and in the arts. As he said……..this must stop.

Here’s the thing, whilst the left have spent years jumping, stomping, abusing, threatening, cancelling and silencing us, the whole time they still expect us ‘mugs’ to continue to fund them with our hard earned dosh.

NO MORE.

This is what Product Boy* Minns has been trying to slither away from since Day 1.

Minns, as NSW Premier, is responsible for police in this state, not Albanese. Every time the blowtorch is applied, these two goons hand each other a hospital pass and walk away. It’s a game they’ve perfected.

This is the reason why I refuse to let digital identity mismanagement go. It is voluntary but government departments do not make this clear, effectively hide non-DI alternatives they’ve now been forced to provide, lie to APS employees about it as a requirement for the workplace. And per Robert Gottleisen’s piece in yesterday’s Oz, it’s critical to discover who was behind this intrusion into our privacy? (It awfully seems like the APS SES are complicit in expanding DIs application by stealth.) I’m happy to take it on advice but if an Australian citizen chooses to establish a DI on the basis of not having all information disclosed to them (the voluntary nature of DI is legally enforced through the DI Act) – largely believing it is either mandatory or they can not access benefits or employment with it – hasn’t the law been broken. Sorry to sound off topic but unelected officials acting against the will of the people would appear to be manifested in the DI system.

The numbers game…arrests to date in NSW in regard to antisemitic crimes including property damage, as reported in the msm yesterday & today:

Only 1 arrest in NSW (SMH)
Only 1 arrest in NSW (Newswire)
7 arrests in NSW (ABC)
9 arrests in NSW (AP)
36 arrests in NSW (SBS)

I note in the transcript of Albanese’s press conference (I can no longer bear to watch him) he spoke of a plurality of alleged offenders being charged and denied bail.

So, why can’t we get straight information on the numbers?

Ditto details of the charges?

Why have names not been published, except in one instance?

Are they all juveniles?

In which case, who is directing them?

Why has this information not been shared with the public prior to this?

Patience Grasshopper. The 2nd phase of the deal isn’t going to happen, and it’ll be back to whacking those moles, who have so helpfully outed themselves. They use the southern hospital as their base and HQ, so I suspect the IDF will move the population north and then take them out.

Meanwhile if Netanyahu can get all 33 hostages released he will have taken a lot of pressure off the government.

Notice that they’re booting the freed terrorists into PA areas not Gaza? It makes them easier to find later, without all those tunnels to hide in. It also creates nice yummy tension between Hamas and Fatah. And if they get kinetic it will give the Israelis an excuse to do a big cleanout of the PA area.

This is why the 2nd stage isn’t going to happen.

Israel under the first stage agreement controls the Philadelphi Corridor. They are not going to give that up, which is a topic for the 2nd stage agreement.

The Israelis were clever in saying they would agree to the first stage AND insisted that the detail of the second stage would be negotiated during the time of the first stage.

Thus they can say they do not accept the 2nd stage terms if it requires them to vacate Philadelphi.

And the only way Hamas can rearm and resupply is via Philadelphi.

Insurgencies like Giap’s can only succeed if they have a friendly outside supporter with good logistical access. In Giap’s case it was China and Russia. Gaza is walled off, and Israeli is going to maintain that siege, so that Hamas cannot resupply.

They’re also hopeless. It’s fun to read of the military culture – saw such an article on the Saudi Army once, I wish I’d bookmarked it. Completely dysfunctional.

One of the undercurrent things that is happening is Israel is encouraging Gazans to emigrate. That could become a flood, especially when the IDF flattens all the buildings in the safe zones – once the population is moved to the other end of the Strip.

Rendering no stone upon another and giving out tents to live in would be a powerful incentive to go someplace else.

I read on twitterX that as part of Fauci’s retirement deal he gets taxpayer funded security, ie could be total horse shit.

Considering how many former public servants in the US get this, it would be a bold move for Trump to defund it.

And as it’s a funding issue (he has private security funded by the taxpayer), congress has 20 ways to appropriate funding that would go to pick up the tab.

Time will tell.

Congress may appropriate the funds for that purpose but has no way of applying the money, that function belongs to the executive branch, that is Trump’s admin.

Interesting though Tom. Crime is now a top five issue nationally for the electorate. The NT might be an indicative space. The new CLP NT government is sticking to its guns on law and order, despite the legal/justice sector rolling into hysterics and claiming it’s the end of times.

The CLP’s candidate for the Federal Seat of Solomon (Lisa Bayliss) was not looking competitive against the incumbent – mainly because the CLP having won every seat in Darwin and Palmerston bar one at the last state election were confident this would translate into an easy victory. It’ll be lazy campaigning 101, no need to work at policy.

But with crime trending as a vote decider, and the CLP NT actually doing something about it at the state level – then she does have some kind of foundation. I’m not 100% convinced it’s enough, but I am convinced crime is now a real issue federally.

Even if she imagined herself another Saint Paul before Caesar, he preached the Gospel, he didn’t harangue Caesar about Rome’s excesses.

Her opportunity was to “give account for the hope that was in her” and with gentleness and respect.

Examples from the two great Apostles ignored.

The AI Surveillance Plan

The best way to dismantle an oppressive system is to simply disobey it altogether. If a few do so, then the elites have the resources to punish them. However, if enough regular people are defying such an active encroachment of liberty, there is little the elites can do but shelve their draconian aspirations.

Exactly what I was saying from the very beginning of the covid dystopia.

From The Oz….

Anthony Albanese says that while the string of anti-Semitic attacks in Australia is an “outrage”, he did not go as far as to call it a “crisis”, as the Coalition had previously characterised it.

“Do you believe that this is a national crisis, a domestic terrorism crisis?” He was asked.

“We, of course, believe that this is an outrage,” Mr Albanese said.

“We’ve called out every one of these. We are acting.”

Mr Albanese dismissed Coalition claims his government had been slow to respond.

“We’ve acted from day one,” he said.

“And I’ll tell you what is of some concern, is people who seek political advantage from what is a traumatic circumstance. And I’ve worked with all of the communities.

Peter Dutton, for someone who was responsible for some national security issues as minister for home affairs, should know better.”

Cooeee, anyone else remember the politicisation of various ‘wape allegations’ back in 2021 and 2022?

Elon Musk’s DOGE wasting no time making DEI cuts: ‘It begins’ (21 Jan)

Elon Musk’s new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) wasted no time beginning its purge of reckless government spending by shutting the Chief Diversity Officers Executive Council, the world’s richest man revealed.

Musk shared a screenshot hours after President Trump’s inauguration Monday showing the website for the office responsible for diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) was no longer working.*

“It begins,” Musk wrote, while his DOGE’s official account added: “Progress.”

The CDOEC, part of the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM), is “the principal interagency forum to implement and sustain a national strategy for DEIA across the Federal government and position the Federal government as a model for DEIA,” according its website.

Still on a high here.
USA! USA! USA!

Still in awe of the preparations Trump and his team made for such a blinding start to his term.

Quite frankly, it is deeply moving for those of us who have been so demoralised by not merely the Covid years, but by what is now a virtual generation of Wokism. It was a nightmare that we thought would never end.

But here it is – abandonment of the Paris Accord and the crazy net zero, detachment from the evil World Health Organisation, the first of the massive sackings within the federal bureaucracy, the end to illegal immigration and the commencement of deportation of illegals, the release of the US political prisoners falsely charged, and so on it goes.

And there are surprises. The partnering with some of the tech giants, who are smart enough to smell the winds of change, will bring added power to the Trump regime.

This is truly the beginning of a new age. Human affairs take amazing twists and turns. We are witnessing a first hand example of fractal theory wherein the tipping of the balance in organisation generates enormous effects.

Breathtaking.

Possibly less ‘prepared to dig their heels in’ and more ASX Corporate Governance Requirements pressure listed companies to have and report DEI policies (see Recommendation 1.5 and consider the ASX ‘if not, why not?’ general disclosure requirements).

The ASX is becoming more, not less, prescriptive in this – with its own florid DEI policy held forth as an exemplar of good practice.

There is some academic research that suggests you get ‘better’ decision-making under controlled circumstances having a diverse decision-making group (of course there is). But I’ve yet to see any rigorous research that points to an economic benefit from DEI in businesses.

In my own little world of mining and energy I certainly haven’t detected any benefit*, but I do have talented female friends and colleagues who are frequently annoyed at the implication that they are diversity hires because of the statements in the Annual Report.

In my experience the real ‘value add’ for listed companies comes via institutional investors – many of whom will not, or cannot, hold companies which do not suitably genuflect to DEI.

So, not a ‘value add’ at all – just avoidance of the negative consequences of being partially de-platformed by woke.

-* My personal experience is that quality staff approach their work in pretty much the exact same way irrespective of gender, nationality, or whatever they choose to do in their personal lives – even Scotspersons. Smart employers are open to all comers and don’t filter on preconceptions.

On the converse, when work groups become ‘all about themselves’ and their personal needs/wants/preferences, things tend to turn to shit quite easily.

Teh Voice news (the Hun):

An alleged gold thief who is accused of lying to the court and faking her Aboriginality in an attempt to get bail will face trial on perverting the course of justice charges.

Hayley Terei, 33, faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court via a video link on Tuesday where she pleaded not guilty to charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice and perverting the course of justice.

Cautiously optimistic that a prosecution was initiated in the first instance, and then supported by the notoriously (and politically) fickle Vicco DPP.

Magistrate Suzanne Cameron ruled there was sufficient evidence against Ms Terei to support a conviction and committed her to County Court for trial.

She did not apply for bail during the short appearance and will appear in County Court on February 18.

MS Terei’s lawyer previously told the court that recorded phone calls that allegedly proved she lied about being Aboriginal in order to get bail in the Supreme Court last year were inadmissible as evidence.

Pfft. Inadmissible, shminadmissible.

Ms Terei was granted bail on charges relating to a burglary in which guns, gold nuggets and $470,000 cash were stolen from a Hastings’ home.

The mother-of-four claimed in the Supreme Court she was an Aboriginal woman of the Yorta Yorta nation and that her cultural heritage had been “whitewashed” by her father following her Aboriginal mother’s death.

However, police analysis of recorded prison phone calls between Ms Terei and her associates while she was in prison allegedly revealed she was not Aboriginal, the court heard.

The calls allegedly revealed Terei’s mother was not Aboriginal and was in fact alive and living in New Zealand.

Ms Terei’s bail was revoked and police subsequently arrested her again.

Now waiting for the public outrage from actual indig ‘peak bodies’.

And of course bail/sentencing on the basis of race only works in one direction.
The constant defence submissions of “ My Client is aboriginal and entitled to bail for the 23rd time” or “ My Client has intergenerational trauma and has very limited mental capacity due to foetal alcohol syndrome and so a non custodial sentence is the only appropriate option” are familiar to all.
How about prosecutors submitting “ The offender is a persistent criminal and as an aboriginal, is a member of a group that offends at 12 to 15 times more often than society in general. Deterrence and public safety are vital in sentencing and in order to send a message to the offenders peer group, it is submitted that imprisonment for much longer than is usual for this type of offence is the only appropriate course.”

Apart from the relentless application of the “shoot one, educate 1,000” principle* I spoke about earlier, this is the second arm of the strategy.
That is, remove all of the blockers, naysayers, and avenues for appeal, intervention and delay.
If you were a DEI disciple prior to yesterday and you got fired for not implementing Orange Hitler policies, you would immediately run to the DEIA who could be relied upon to muddy the waters and bind the employing agency in red tape.

This follows the approach Musk took when he bought Twitter. If a function has no value (or isn’t critical to the core business) he won’t just reduce it.
He will abolish it outright. In this case, the function doesn’t just have no value – it is a drag on what Trump wants to do.
So goneski.

A similar exercise on Gillard’s Office of the Status of Women (or whatever it’s called) wouldn’t go astray. This could make Noddy Newman’s efforts look like a walk in the park. Anyone with experience of layoffs inside a big bank or big miner knows how this works in the private sector.

Paul Murray was kind to Fluffy last night, saying she had done a great job establishing Sky’s presence in the USA. My impression is that she is as bad as Chris Kenny (Sky) and others in the non-leftoid MSM who (despite their non-leftism) are habitual TDS sufferers.
Credit where it’s due, she contrasted Trump’s delivery (fire hose!) with Biden’s “drip feed”, which might be the best description of Joe’s style yet.
But saying that the four years off after 2020 was “good for Trump, making him more focused” was diabolical. She therefore also has to own up to being a Stolen Election Denier.

One might observe that this time Trump has realised that entire edifices of government are dedicated to the circular support of more government, which just happens to align with the agenda of the left. The great irony in all this is that the creation of great swathes of regulation and bureaucracy only create barriers to entry and advantage the same corporate billionaire class the feckless left rails against.

I also think that Millei has carried the torch for this stuff, the accepted wisdom has been not to reverse the left agenda. Millei has deleted vast swathes of government and revealed the emptiness that lies beneath and the way they reinforce their agenda regardless of results or truth.

Nationals WA commit $140 million to tackle youth crime and establish On-Country diversion programs
Jessica MoroneyMidwest Times
Wed, 22 January 2025 2:00AM

The Nationals WA have pledged $140 million towards tackling youth crime and establishing support services to divert young offenders away from the justice system if they form government at the March State election.
As part of that, $40m would be committed to developing a Statewide youth diversion strategy, aiming to reduce the overrepresentation of Aboriginal children in detention by establishing On Country programs in remote parts of WA, including the Mid West, Gascoyne, Kimberley, Pilbara and Goldfields.
Opposition Leader Shane Love said On-Country diversion was the missing link in WA’s justice system and would give youth a chance to reconnect with their communities and culture while programs were put in place to help break the cycle of reoffending.
“Our youth diversion strategy will prioritise reducing the overrepresentation of Aboriginal children in detention, who currently make up more than half of the population in youth detention centres,” he said.
Another aspect of the regional plan is a $60m commitment to improving regional policing incentives and resources in the region.

If more Aboriginal youth commit more crime than non-aboriginal youth, then more aboriginal youth will be imprisoned.

So build more incarceration facilities if it’s about youth crime.

Or if it’s about how ‘special’ they are, we can excuse their ‘special’ behaviour and talk, talk, throw money, and talk more in an endless infinite loop.

Of course, you won’t hear a peep of this on their ABC or here any mea culpa from the Jew hating slug of Grayndler or Penny Pong….this from Caroline Glick…..

World Central Kitchen (WCK) employed 62 terrorists in Gaza (25% of the WCK’s total headcount in Gaza).

Excellent, the WFK permitted Hamas terrorists to use it personnel as human shields and slanderously accused the IDF of deliberately killing innocent people.

Jose Andres, the founder of WCK maliciously accused Israel of ‘systemically targeting aid workers’. Meanwhile his organisation employed terrorists.

Deep down we all knew that the above was most likely the scenario but the confected, nauseating and sanctimonious hysteria and drama that ensued after Australian woman Zomi Frankcom and her comrades were killed in an IDF strike was staggering it its hypocrisy.

Woodside has paused work on a large-scale hydrogen development and a solar project as it moves to prioritise high value core assets, most notably a significant expansion of LNG production which now has a notable ally in US President Donald Trump.

The suspension of works on the H2OK project and the solar Project Capella could please investors who were worried Woodside was ahead of market demand for lower-emission energy sources.

The fear was compounded by the election of US President Trump, who has promised to drastically bolster US energy production and lower subsidies for hydrogen production.

While not specifically pinning the decision on the change of US energy policy, Woodside’s chief executive Meg O’Neill made a thinly veiled reference to the altering attitudes to fossil fuels.

More please.

“Two completely different public service cultures.”

My dear old Mum – who was a stickler for manners and being polite – used to work at a school as secretary to the principal, which involved answering phone calls, and she several times told the story of two calls she got:

“Good morning, <name of school>, how may I direct your call?”
“Kindergarten”
“I beg your pardon”
“Kindergarten”
“Oh, I’m sorry, I thought you said please. Just a moment, putting you through”

Second call, same caller, this time said “please” first time up!

Doesn’t cost you anything to be polite and nice about things, even in the face of rudeness – except perhaps a little blood pressure rise every now and then.

Tyron Smith: Police rule out charges against Boulder homeowner ‘who confronted armed intruder’
WA’s top cop has revealed police will not press charges against a Boulder homeowner who fought an armed intruder who later died from his injuries.
Police commissioner Col Blanch made the announcement more than a month after Tyron Smith, 20, died at Royal Perth Hospital after he was accused of breaking into a Boulder property wearing a balaclava and armed with a machete.
Police said Mr Smith became involved in a violent altercation with the man who lived at the house, who was home with his wife and child at the time.
Mr Smith suffered serious injuries in the altercation while the homeowner suffered an arm injury and lacerations to his hands that required hospital treatment.
It is understood CCTV from inside the home showed Mr Smith holding the weapon before the altercation move to another room.

In Trumpland the average domestic retail price of electricity in 2023 was about 12 cents per kwh (USD) an increase from (approx) 10 cents per kwh in the god emperor’s first term.
The US 2024 price was approx. 18cents per kwh. Big commercial users can negotiate deals at half the domestic retail price. e.g. 9c per kwh.

If the Prez reduces the US prices, which is probable, why would I use Ostrayan unreliable expensive electrikery?

https://www.yahoo.com/news/model-cosmology-might-broken-study-172716810.html

The Hubble tension just got tenser — with new measurements revealing that the universe is expanding faster than our current understanding of physics can explain.

Over the past decade, cosmology has been embroiled in a growing crisis.

Fuelling it are observations, first made by the Hubble Space Telescope and later by the James Webb Space Telescope, that the universe is expanding at different rates depending on where astronomers look.

“The tension now turns into a crisis,” lead author Dan Scolnic, a professor of physics at Duke University, said in a statement. “This is saying, to some respect, that our model of cosmology might be broken.”

The Dark Reason Islam Is UNIQUELY Dangerous – Richard Dawkins (4K)

In the discussion titled “The Dark Reason Islam Is UNIQUELY Dangerous,” Richard Dawkins explores several controversial themes, primarily focusing on religion, gender identity, and scientific truth. Dawkins, a prominent atheist and evolutionary biologist, criticizes Islam for its severe penalties like the death penalty for apostasy, contrasting it with Christianity and Judaism, which he notes do not have such extreme measures. He questions the security of a religion that resorts to these penalties, labeling it as “pathetic.” Dawkins also addresses the criticism he faces from religious groups and the scientific community, particularly regarding gender issues. He recounts how his skepticism of teaching non-scientific methods on par with science in places like New Zealand led to backlash. Regarding gender, he comments on the binary nature of sex and criticizes equating it with racial identity fluidity. He voices strong opposition to practices that undermine women’s rights, such as allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports. Furthermore, Dawkins discusses the role of imagination and creativity in animals and humans, and the importance of critical thinking and skepticism in scientific inquiry. He touches on the fine-tuning argument of the universe, the origin of life, and the potential role of altruism in human evolution, endorsing science over religious explanations for life’s mysteries. Throughout, Dawkins maintains that scientific truth and critical thinking are under attack from various societal forces, and he emphasizes his opposition to religious doctrines and gender ideology that, in his view, lack scientific basis.

Dawkins lost me with The Selfish Gene. Using moral imperatives to describe evolution is nuts. His critiques of gender ideology and religion have been effective. Even in the USA now creationism is increasingly perceived as nuts. Nonetheless polling indicate 30%+ of the population still hold to it. I struggle to think that’s true but at least it has come down from recent years.

Indeed. He uses anthropomorphic metaphors about genes and the evolutionary process that he would denounce as obfuscating mumbo jumbo in religious language.

But to his credit he still retains enough integrity from his long-neglected day job as a biologist to denounce the woke gender lunacy.

In Rare Criticism, Trump Says Putin Is ‘Destroying Russia’

President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia praised President Trump’s second inauguration, but the American leader did not return the compliment.

President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia heralded President Trump’s second inauguration with glowing praise, saying Mr. Trump showed “courage” in his campaign and won a “convincing victory” in the election.

But hours later on Monday, in the Oval Office, Mr. Trump didn’t return the favor. The American president made some of the most critical comments he’s ever made about Mr. Putin, declaring that the Russian leader is “destroying Russia” by waging war in Ukraine.

“He can’t be thrilled, he’s not doing so well,” Mr. Trump told reporters Monday evening, referring to Mr. Putin’s war. “Russia is bigger, they have more soldiers to lose, but that’s no way to run a country.”

I felt sorry for Blot when he cried for his dead dog, but dogs have been dying for millenia. It’s only rich people in the cities like Blot who evidently have trouble coping and have to cry on TV.

Get a load of what these fcking parasites were up to in the undergrowth. The EU was finagling a deal to tax US firms on US income too.

The End of the Global Tax Affair

Trump drops the ax on a corporate-tax deal whacking U.S. firms.

Well, we warned the Europeans. Two of President Trump’s day-one executive orders threaten dire consequences for any government that tries to raise taxes on American companies. This puts paid to a global corporate-tax raid Europe cheered in the Biden era, and not a moment too soon.

Mr. Trump is taking aim at a tax scheme cooked up at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The first part of the deal, known as pillar one, imposes a surtax on the world’s largest companies and is aimed primarily at American tech and pharma firms. Pillar two creates a minimum global effective tax rate of 15%. Governments such as France or Germany could impose “top-up” taxes on U.S. companies whose tax bills at home are too low.

Former Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen signed this pact in 2021, dropping years of bipartisan opposition from U.S. Administrations. Team Biden thought the ploy might make it easier to sell Congress on corporate tax increases at home. Other governments are implementing the deal. But Congress never supported the necessary changes to U.S. tax law—and some lawmakers threatened retaliation against foreign capitals imposing these taxes on U.S. firms.

Where does this leave Luigi’s plan for monster penalties on tech/soshul meeja companies?
I mean, he and his Nazi collaborator, Julie Immam Grant, would argue they are fines not taxes, but I would think a lawyer could argue that any levy calculated as a percentage of revenue or profit is, by definition, a tax, not a simple penalty.

Justin Smith got his media gig (which lately includes a shift on ABC radio) because he’s Neil Mitchell’s former producer on Melbourne’s 3AW. He’s a woke buffoon, but Sky News sticks to the Fox News formula that unless you air both sides of any argument, you’re just an echo chamber (like the Australian TV networks which are uniformly radical wokesters who loathe America’s new president because he’s from the wrong tribe.)

Smith makes me vomit in my mouth, but the Fox News formula delivers TV ratings leadership in the US. Ruperdink Mudrock is a genius in delivering TV ratings success.

For the record, I’ve called out Pretty Boy Minns from the beginning. He talks a good talk but little else, he was the only reason Labor won in March 2023. Labor did what they’re good at, hoodwinking the electorate. A half decent premier, a half decent police minister and a half decent police commissioner would have been onto this from the beginning, which was after the shocking scenes at Sydney Town Hall and the Sydney Opera House on Monday night October 9 but instead, like Nero, Minns, Catley (married to a hard left Pallie Nazi supporter) and Hogarthian Karen (pass the gin) fiddled and now we are seeing, on our streets, cars, synagogues and child care centres burning.

The IDF learned a lesson during the Gaza War, when even its close ally the United States withheld — that is, slowed down delivery — of weapons, mainly heavy bombs, in an attempt to make Israel refrain from taking certain actions in the Strip, such as entering Rafah. The threat did not work; Israel did not change its plans to satisfy the Americans. But it is determined never to be in that situation again.

The suburb of Woollahra was first torched by Jew haters back in November, a few days before my mother died. At the time my mother was in a Jewish care facility located in Woollahra. On hearing the news, I rushed up there, it was a Thursday if I recall correctly. My mother was no longer fully ‘aware’ of what was going on around her. Arriving at the facility I was immediately assured by staff that no one had told patients about what had happened except, oddly, my mother knew. How? Perhaps she heard nurses and doctors talking but I suspect she sensed it, in fact I know she sensed it.

Probably not, Damon. But some highly intuitive types pick up signals, however small. It might be an inflection in tone or a slight body movement, but they can be put together to mean something.

They are sometimes asked, how on earth did you know that? And yet they do.

Chris Kenny “worried” by the friendship between Trump and Musk.

As if Trump and Musk would give a flying fuk as to what that mediocrity thinks. Come to think of it, why should anyone? Has dribbler Sheridan started up yet?

Miranda Devine nailed it. The only reason people get pardoned is because they’re guilty. Biden is, and always has been, corrupt.

I cannot ever trust Miranda. She still has not apologised for calling us Neo Cons whist she was s**king Trumble’s Pin Dick.

Therefore he can be investigated, charged, and put on trial. He didn’t pardon himself to the best of my knowledge. His entire family can answer questions about the family corruption and not be able to take the 5th.

Could be wondrous!

I’ll sign off now and go listen to a few tracks from The Band (aka Bob Dylan’s backing band during his electric turn c. 1966) upon hearing of organist and last surviving member Garth Hudson’s death at 87.

Thanks for the music, Garth.
