Along with my mothers stories of growing up despite Communists & Nazis trying to kill her family off like they did her friends & neighbours, was a take on that of Joseph & His Coat of Many Colours; poor people, poor country, little to feed them even outside the long snowed in winters, it was the tradition to take the old men out into the forest & leave them with a coat (made up of what scraps they could put together), to go to sleep in …
… then one day the old man stopped his son & bid him to wait, as the old man tore the coat in half and offered his son one half, “Keep this for when it’s your turn and you may be warm enough to live” … and the son wrapped his father up in the scraps & his own coat & brought him back home, after which, those people never again sent their old people out to die.
Now lets jump to today, when food & all needs for all people are plentiful (if we care not to rob the producers & distributers), and yet we still have people such as (sadly, the list is too long), those who ARGUE FOR The RIGHT of Inhuman Bodies such as The NHS & MEDICARE, to deny people the medical treatment they choose, condemning them to those Inhuman Body’s DEATH PANELS.
I like the thought Roger but most people are idiots. 😛

Interesting. The VIC Nudge team did a project for Brett Sutton on improving take up of the HPV vaccine – essentially getting schools to share student names and parent contact info so they can be ‘nudged’. Also notes that the Vic unit works closely with the UK team (presumably the one based in Sydney) and a behavioural unit at Monash uni.”

My daughter rang me from Uni when they first started pushing the HPV, especially to those young adults who were residents, immersed in the Pro-HPV propaganda & away from their families.
It was the sleazy way they were pushing it that made her baulk & not have it.
Again she’s been glad she did, as yet again she didn’t suffer any of the fresh new health hells her contemporaries have.

It’s strange to think that those of Penny Wong’s ilk have taken away from the election of Donald Trump and Brexit and any other expression of popular desire for the people of a nation to retain some control over their destiny in the face of the rise of the CCP and global government is: Not to wonder how the can retain some shred of the appearance of support for national pride, but to go the utter opposite direction and openly embrace the destruction of the last vestiges of nationhood.
One can only think that they imagine we are on the cusp of their long time, century long, dream of the communist international. Global Marxist government led by China and enforced by social control and technologically enhanced surveillance.

I dunno Sancho. I reckon the Taliban will have quite a bit of a problem getting helos off the ground, let alone being good at low level tactical stuff.
And even if they do manage it, then probably not smart enough to do essential preventative maintenance to keep them flying.

Firstly, Kelly should report Eltham to the Information and Privacy Commission NSW.

I remember about three years ago a nasty far-left green doxxed Avi by releasing Avi’s address on twitter….so Avi filmed himself going around to the home of the doxxer. Of course the wife of the nasty far-left green called the police but methinks the doxxer learnt a lesson.

Of course they do- they thought they were going to pull it of with their shitty Copenhagen COP back in the Krudd era. Time for another go.

Yes Avi is one hell of a guy. Turning the other cheek- That’s one teaching of Christ I have always thought absurd. You hit back twice as hard.

5) Disband Public Order Response Team and Fire all members of it.
6) Undertake to retrain all Victorian Police in ethics, because they have none.

Just saw the report that ABC is the second highest rated radio station in Sydney. Why are the poorer people in the western suburbs made to pay for listening choices of the well heeled eastern and northern suburbs residents? This is right:
Rylee McCollum was one of the 13 U.S. service members who died after an ISIS-K suicide bomber detonated outside the Kabul airport last week. The young Marine was in Afghanistan on his first deployment shortly after getting married in February. His wife, Jiennah Crayton, is expecting the couple’s first child at the end of September.
“My son was a genius child, an IQ 156. He could have done anything you wanted to do in the military and he chose to be a Marine sniper. … He chose this course, but I never thought in a million years he would die for nothing, for nothing because a feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap decided he wanted a photo op on Sept. 11. That’s what kills me,” McCollum said. “I wanted my son to represent our country, to fight for my country, but I never thought that a feckless piece of crap would send him to his death and smirk on television while he’s talking about people dying with his nasty smirk.”
McCollum not only called for Biden’s removal but said this situation “never would have happened under Trump.”

If you read Eric “Winkle” Brown’s book he mentions he and a colleague were sent from Boscombe Down to Liverpool IIRC to pick up and deliver a Sikorsky R-4 back to Boscombe. They read the flight manual on the train to Liverpool. Started the thing, quickly frightened themselves, retreated to the Mess for a couple of stiff whiskey’s, gave it another go and flew it home. Amazing.
If you ever have to steal a helicopter it hopefully has wheels. Treat it like a fixed wing and do a rolling takeoff and landing. You may live.
Except the ground. That bit is moving towards you.
Re-watching a couple of old classics: Waterloo Bridge with Vivien Leigh and Robert Taylor; a real gut-wrencher underneath the exquisite visuals and understated histrionics. Viv is a ballerina who gives up a life toil on the stage for upper-class good guy Bob. War intervenes and a serious of misunderstandings, not too implausible, and the spectre of poverty drive Viv into the good time Charlie profession. Bob thought dead, turns up and renews the marriage plan but Viv can’t subject him or his upper crust family to the shame and kills herself on the bridge where they met. It is 1918 after all.
It’s a classy effort despite what are now romantic cliches and reinforces my view that very little made after 1960 in Hollywood is worth watching.

I am an expert at helicopters since I have been in exactly one of them.
Once. On an exercise. A Chinook.
I expect we blew the regiment’s entire training budget for a year. 😀
A Chinook?
I’d pay good money to see one of those hit the deck with both those big rotors running.
When a helicopter has to put down in the wilderness coz engine failure, it comes to a perfect still stop & at the worst there’s too many trees, so drop into the treetops with zero forward motion.
If a fixed-wing jock has to put ‘er down coz the engine quits, the best that can be hoped for is be riding an eggshell at fifty miles an hour into a forest.
The chances of surviving a rotor-wing prang have always been better than the survival rate for fixed-wing.
I’ve had 4 flights in helicopters. Three in Hueys (great fun- particularly the practice autorotations – like being in a safe pushed out of a skyscraper)) and one in a Robinson R44 (scary). I got to fly the Robbie. I thought I was doing well until the owner pointed out I was over controlling. Bastard thing. Never again in a Robbie.

In some circles there used to be a ‘formula’ for taking over a country which was mainly based on how actual communist insurrectionists were observed operating in European, South American and African countries.
Firstly, you foment a ‘disaster’ or catastrophe that terrifies and concerns the local populace;
Secondly, you capture and control the means of communication both internal and external of your target country;
Thirdly, you send out ‘peace keepers’ to put down and control any dissenters to your aims, by any means whatsoever;
Fourthly, you so disrupt the local economy that the ‘citizens’ acquiesce to you for aid; and
Fifthly, you appeal to the UN international community for help to fix your countries problems.
On a scale of 1 to 5 above, where is Australia?
Two chopper rides, one over the Grand Canyon, the other over Iguazu Falls.
Only one hot air balloon- Pillensberg game park, near the Botswana border.
Plus plenty of teeny fixed wing in PNG, for my many sins. Nearer my God to Thee.

Catastrophic failure of a tail rotor is usually the result of inadvertantly using it to prune a tree. (Or chopping it off by unloading the disc, in which case a missing tail is the least of your worries)
A bloke I know well had his tail rotor hit by a possum, there’s probably worse things to happen, but it’ll do until I think what could be worse.
It is the only tail rotor incident (in flight) that I know of IRL.
I’ve got lots of wings, Arma, but I doubt I’ll be flying anywhere anytime soon.
The nearest I’ve been to flying something is a hang glider off of some sandhills, and stick of a Cessna of the friend of my dad’s – we were flying from Armidale to Andamooka as a nice excuse to get his hours up. Never caught my interest, I’m too much a ground pounder.
It’s fun to think this stuff as I just now read in 1633 (by Flint and Weber) of the first aeroplane flight on Earth, which took place in that year. A Cessna 170ish two seater with kitchen laminex body and a VW car engine. Cool!
That’s the downside to not being allowed to climb trees as a kid. A potentially valuable life skill is not acquired. ?
I’ve handled a wombat gun but never a possum gun. Must be a wicked thing to fire.
I had a friend who used to hang glide off Stanwell Tops. Poor fellow broke his back and had to wear a body brace for months.
He fell off the toilet and got wedged between the throne and the wall.
Which goes to show, more accidents happen at home.
Never heard an M79 called that, before.
Lol.
It was a real fair dinkum furry possum, almost certainly a brushtail, jumping from tree to tree, prolly in terror as the big noise nasty helicopter had woken poss from the deepest of deep daytime sleeps.
It jumped straight into the tail rotor. Destroyed it. A kid’s marble, or a 5-cent coin, will be enough to bugger a tail rotor & prolly shake the machine to bits very very very swiftly.
A possum jumping head first into the tail rotor was catastrophic.
One helicopter flight in Hawaii, over the Kilauea volcano. That day only a few puff of smoke from it. Back home a few weeks later there it was on the news, spewing lava all over the place. I know, there would not have been a helicopter flight over the volcano at all had it been erupting. Great experience nonetheless.
There was nothing more entertaining than watching Sea Kings practice autorotations

All the grace of a broken piano out of a seventh floor window.
Zulu – We did. That was 1979. I got in strife for forgetting to carry the wretched thing once as well as my SLR on annual camp. Usually was the gunner – a M-60 is harder to misplace. Never had the fun of firing a M79 though, which I suppose was appropriate after my stuff up.

Cattle mustering in the Kimberley is usually done by chopper and the most common chopper in use is the Robinson.
Watching a good helicopter pilot in action chasing cattle is fascinating, they do aerial stunts only feet from the ground. Amazing skills.
Below pic is a Robinson R22 chasing cattle swooping feet off the ground. This very same helicopter was written off in an accident at Perth’s Jandakot airport in 2019. The pilot and passenger survived with minor injuries. Risk your life in the bush and nearly get killed at the airport.

It never ceases to amaze me how married couples in the political and media elite rarely have the same surname. It’s almost as if they are trying to hide something.
Robinson R22
I think the Robinsons developed a reputation in PNG for losing main rotor blades. The elastomeric flap drag hinge didn’t like the continuous high ambient temperature.
Apparently when this happens the vibration is so intense that your vision becomes blurred.

What?
You mean Tanya Plibersek and her husband, oh, what was his name again?
See, I’m not using enough capitals.
That’s what happens when the morning crew pinch them all.
Me too. Rio Bravo at the moment.
But I’m also halfway through a newie: The Tomorrow War … don’t think too much and it’s great fun.
Have a copy of The Yangtse Incident (also known as Battle Hell) that I’m very keen to rewatch.
Beats the hell out of all this covid shit!!
Pedro, we were on a road trip to Kununurra a few months back. Somewhere between Karratha and Hedland.
No warning, and the road ahead was suddenly streaming with cattle crossing from left to right! Managed to stop as two Robinsons flew over the road barely ahead of us at zero feet, sideways, herding the cattle.
Interesting.
Delivered by an angry looking man in a turban, who is certainly delivering a bollocking to faithful and unbelievers alike.
The same retards that were restricting who could be vaccinated only a couple of moths ago are now pushing everybody for it.
When the had a shed-load, you couldn’t have it.
Now there’s nothing around, even school kiddies have to get it.
These people are fucking morons

A mother in the U.K. having her say about vaccinating children
Somebody used a Robinson in PNG? WTF for?
Never heard of that issue though rickw.
How much higher is the ambient air temperature in PNG than in northern Australia?
Have i stumbled across Aviation Safety Digest Online?
Inspired by this graphic I found on Twitter
ps://pbs.twimg.com/media/E-F6JX-UUAICMka?format=jpg&name=medium
which shows the relationship between widespread ivermectin use (to combat River Blindness) and Covid death rates in Africa in early 2021, I looked up the current death rates per million on Worldometer.
The average death rate for ivermectin nations was 94 per million compared to an average 515 per million for nations which aren’t afflicted with River Blindness. If I had included Seychelles the difference would have been greater still.
What a shame there isn’t enough graft in ivermectin to interest our medical establishment.
Chopper rides:
Only one over Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Spectacular!
Link wrong. Apologies. The graphic can be found here with a bit of mucking about.

Excellent photo Pedro.
(it is not me in the photo)
Can’t find the crash comic online at the moment, IIRC prang at Jandakot was a training accident & RZK was totally destroyed in a rollover after ground contact.
It’s spelt “ dogging” in Australia Arky.
At least we know who ended up with the rhinestone studded arseless chaps.
Whatever about Helicopters but The American Deep State deliberately set up the Forever War.
Shearing at Mardie station and the mad old station owner would drive sheep into the shed with his plane about 6 feet off the ground.
Quite a sight while you are loading your hand piece up to have a Cessna nearly sharing the board with you.
Phil Blackman was his name. Had been a Dutch fighter pilot in WW2 and was on the Missouri when Japan surrendered.
Very much a King in grass castles, wouldn’t talk to workers directly only through the boss.
First shed I got a stand at.
He nearly lost his pilots license when he got caught using fencing wire to repair part of a tail on the plane.
I have to look-in to this; it happens now and then to me too.
My Uncle Tom was always proud to know he shore the last sheep on Heaven Station.
FM, you pushed a boggi?
You fellers are an elite, ranking above helicopter pilot.
(In my opinion)
Three complaints today from neighbours about noise from the tiler’s cutting up of thick chunks of travertine, thank goodness I can say the job is finishing tomorrow. Discovered too that Paddy had removed some plate glass in the way by the expedient of bashing it, which sent small diamonds of shatter-glasss down onto the lawn at the bottom of the cliff. I spent hours picking it out of the lawn locating it as it glinted in the sunlight so it wouldn’t fly up and blind the gardener. Got half a big bucket full, thousands of chunky sparkly dimaonds. Then the washing machine did a bearing of some sort, making a terrible noise when Hairy put in a very big towel and his thick top, and so will have to be repaired before further use. Finally, Hairy marches in to use my computer because his old faithful has at last carked it at a most inconvenient moment. I think it might be bedtime and see y’all down in the garage around 8am. It is far away from our building and so we don’t hear the noise, but apparently others do. Who knew? I shall have to send them all a bottle of decent wine to compensate, busy little workers-from-home that they say they are, but I know they aren’t. I see them on their verandah’s and in their gardens far too often to be taken in by that tall tale.
It will be fantastic when the communists shut down all the coal fired power stations.
One and only helicopter ride was in a little 2 seater on a station on the Birdsville track a couple of years ago.
We were mustering cattle and shooting camels, me with the station pump action .223.
lucky there will be no spare meat and grubs are the best.
well done
Have you ever seen kangaroo harvesters in action?
Where do you get staff from?
Another sponsorship refusal today. (Dept of Home Affairs aren’t the brightest bulb in any chandelier)
I’ve handled a wombat gun but never a possum gun. Must be a wicked thing to fire.
I reckon a possum might fit in one of these:

Now THERE’s a pressure slap…
(Also a heavy and awkward critter to carry. But glorious to use).
You mean there’s people who haven’t?
(Er… if you’re meaning roo shooters, that is)
Don’t be facetious Salvatore.
Of course most people have not seen ‘roo shooters’.
Nor have they seen kangaroo harvesting operations.
It is the same as most people would not have a clue as to the production line of meat on their plate.
serve grubs to your clients.
Do you think when Labor is fully in power that “meat” will be served, anywhere???
They are Green Communists FFS.
Can I tek your order please?
one Bug Mac meal, thanks
Woke for the drink?
Yah
I would have used my .303 but the brass was ejected out of the aircraft, and I reload mine.
The .223 turned out to be plenty of gun. You get quite close to them with the helicopter.
I hate meat.
Grubs are best,

Grubs are best,
Don’t even need a gun in our new UN overlord communist heaven.

Watching Aussie Cossack’s feed is not a good idea. My blood pressure can’t take it.
There’s no doubt, NSW Plod are utter scum. They’re disgracing the uniform (not that it retains any dignity or respect)
Is it not amazing that we still have an Australian Taxation Office!?
After all, every single taxation agent is licensed by the ATO to gather as much money as possible.
Communists do that.
who certifies ‘lawyers’?
who certifies so called ‘doctors’?
who certifies so called judges and police?
who certifies hospitals?
we live in a communist country….
prove me wrong
who certifies so called academics?
who certifies so called Australian politicians??????????????????
Let we Australians lick the arse of the UN.

Mate rode in an Mi 26 the UN chartered when rotating out of East Timor once. Told me there was an oil leak in the cabin. The Russian or Ukranian (He’s unsure) loadmaster yelled “Da, if it stops leaking tell us. If it stop leaking we crash…”
