Chris Mitchell also amplified Turnbull’s campaign against Abbott stripping citizenship from Australian passport holders fighting in Syria.
What Abbott should have done was simply have their passports cancelled & worry about the consequences afterwards.
Would have been a lot more productive.

I might be wrong but am under the impression that regional Victoria will have less freedom under a passport regime, that is things you can do unvaxxed today you will be denied under a passport regime.

Correct Rosie.
The Terminus Hotel in Wycheproof is on the list. You could go there for a meal with the family last week, now you can’t if you’re not vaccinated or can’t prove it and don’t dare bring the unvaccinated seventeen year old daughter or son along. Adding the joy of pissing off vaccinated locals by making them jump through more hoops.

Chris Mitchell’s Monday column has so many memorable lines, here it is in full:

The inner suburbs of Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra are a world away from mainstream Australia. They are also where many journalists who work in the national media live.
Spending all of Sydney’s latest Covid lockdown largely free on the NSW mid-north coast, I headed up to Coffs Harbour a fortnight ago to visit friends and spent a morning at The Bunker, the town’s brilliant National Cartoon Gallery. The main upstairs exhibition was a selection of the best work of the late Bill Leak, this newspaper’s editorial cartoonist who died on March 10, 2017.
Some of Leak’s other work occasionally appears at the Manly Gallery, on Sydney’s northern beaches. It’s instructive to watch people on the so-called “insular Peninsular” — a million miles from Sydney spiritually, but only seven miles by ferry — lap up Bill’s creativity, draughtsmanship, love of life and larrikin disrespect for authority. Just as they did in Coffs.
The WA audience fits that mould: 6PR’s Liam Bartlett devoted 19 minutes to a September 28 interview with Fred Pawle, author of Die Laughing: The Biography of Bill Leak.
Unfortunately, the national broadcaster has not to date seen fit to talk about Bill’s biography, published by the Institute of Public Affairs, even though Leak had many friends at the ABC — indeed, four of them are quoted in Die Laughing and have been given review copies of the book. It’s the sort of cancel culture our ABC is falling into as social media activists exert ever more pressure on an organisation they think they own.
Yet in mainstream Australia — surely the ABC’s target audience — the concept of cancel culture is largely unknown. People still give their children Harry Potter books, celebrate Australia Day, know Captain Cook was a great explorer and may even know he was a man of the Enlightenment.
Unlike many of the youthful campaigning class beloved by the ABC and Guardian Australia, most mainstream Australians don’t confuse Cook with Governor Phillip and the First Fleet. Nor do they pull statues down, hate their fathers, sons and husbands or know what toxic masculinity even means. They know there are good guys and bad guys. Ditto with women.
It’s also fair to say most mainstream Australians are not racists, even though a few may be. How can I be sure? Try the 1967 referendum for starters.
But the ABC and much of the modern moral media middle class sees our country in black and white terms. They believe they are on the high moral ground. They have become “punishers” and “straighteners”, the criticism historian Manning Clark used to make of the conservative establishment.
In this brave new world, political virtue sits with the Greens and Labor’s left. People who vote for their own economic self-interest — especially Coalition parties — are derided on social media as intellectually and morally inferior. Never mind the working class once voted ALP because it was the party that advocated policies to benefit workers.

People who know nothing of the facts proclaim former NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian a sinner and Victorian Premier Dan Andrews a saint. They assert Gladys let Covid destroy NSW while Dan shut early to save his state. Never mind Victoria’s outbreak, its sixth, has grown faster than in NSW and has already reached a higher peak.
They bag new NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet as dangerous because he is a Catholic with six kids, but would never criticise a Muslim politician with a big -family.
Die Laughing explains why in such a polarised media climate, Leak — a big-hearted supporter of the underdog — became a sinner to the left and saint to the right.
ABC 7.30 host Leigh Sales gets it right in the book. Leak was “probably the most vehemently anti-Howard person I’d ever met,” Sales tells Pawle, formerly a features journalist, surf writer and sub-editor on this newspaper.
“After Rudd took power … Bill shifted in the opposite direction. It’s entirely possible he could have gone back again … because he was an extreme personality. He was incapable of having middle ground positions. The nature of the far-left now, and cancel culture, is that if you say something that goes against what the left believes, it is not enough for them to disagree with you. You are disavowed and you are cancelled.”
Sales describes a close personal friendship with Leak. ABC personalities Richard Fidler and Libbi Gorr were also mates of his. Phillip Adams was another close friend and is quoted in the book about the flaws in the Racial Discrimination Act used to undermine Leak.
Yet Leak did not want to be a campaigner for the political right. He rang me on the Tuesday afternoon before he died. The next night Barry Humphries, as Sir Les Patterson, was to launch Leak’s book, Trigger Warning, a collection of political cartoons from the previous year.
Leak said to me: “I am sorry you are not coming tomorrow night, mate. Truth is I am so stressed by all this 18C stuff it’s making me unwell. I am an artist. I am cut out for political cartooning, not political campaigning.”
He died of a heart attack, less than three days later.
Once cartoonists were expected to take the mickey out of politicians and their ideas, no matter which side was in office. Now some ideas — about climate, racism, ethnicity, diversity, minority group religion, feminism, homosexuality and transgender rights — can never be satirised. Doing so was Leak’s crime.
Says Humphries in the introduction to Die Laughing: “The New Puritanism in Australia, which endorses unfunny comedians who merely ‘identify’ as funny, also condemns every form of creative art it does not understand.” He was referring specifically to the cartoon that brought Leak into the sights of the Human Rights Commission.
People who sought to punish Leak under section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act for publishing a poignant cartoon about Aboriginal dads are on the side of the wowser, who according to Humphries “is a traditional -Australian figure — humourless, ignorant, vindictive. He is still with us, disguised as a liberal-minded upholder of the politically correct”.
That cartoon — which showed an Aboriginal father not knowing the name of his son — followed issues of violence against young Aboriginals at the Don Dale Detention Centre in Darwin, exposed by Four Corners in 2016.
Leak was moved by the Don Dale story and many of his Aboriginal friends supported his cartoon. They know Aboriginal people have agency and are not victim caricatures. But in the modern media world, only whites can damage Aboriginal people.
If you don’t like your political commentary delivered by an overwrought, pursed-lipped, tut-tutting reporter with little real world experience, this book is for you. If you like journalists and cartoonists with a healthy disrespect for authority, prepared to challenge accepted pieties, even better. Because that’s who Leak was, and Fred Pawle nails it.

Skaf parole: Some dangerous criminals don’t deserve freedom Jennifer Oriel

11:00PM October 10, 2021
72 Comments

The release from jail of convicted rapist Mohammed Skaf raises questions about whether Australian law is equipped to safeguard society from violent sexual offenders. Skaf was part of a gang whose members preyed on teenage girls in 2000. It was a series of brutal attacks that became known as the Sydney gang rapes. The gang members used sexual and racial hatred in the commission of their crimes. They expressed little or no remorse. Yet most have been released from jail.

Baria Skaf wanted her “boys” to come home. In a 2002 interview with journalist Candace Sutton, the Skaf matriarch expressed doubt about her sons’ guilt. Sutton reported that Baria Skaf had Muslim and Christian friends at the time. But court proceedings and media interviews revealed that members of the Skaf gang used violent racism against the girls they brutalised. They called one victim an “Aussie pig”. They threatened to rape a girl “Leb style”. Despite being born in Australia, the rapists identified as Lebanese.

An 18-year-old girl was reading a book of English literature on the train home one afternoon when she was surrounded by a group of males. According to Michael Finnane, the judge who would later preside over the rape trials, the youths were led by Mohammed Skaf. They assaulted the teenager, forced her off the train and into public toilets where they assaulted her again. One of the men phoned another group, which arrived by car. The teenage girl was taken to the Bankstown Trotting Club and raped again. A second car arrived with more men who had been told by the rapists about the victim, whom they viciously vilified by calling her “a slut”. In the second car, the girl was brutalised three more times. The gang tortured the teenager for six hours. In a 2018 article for The Australian Financial Review, Finnane recounted that, in all, 14 males brutally violated her more than 40 times.

It is difficult to imagine the trauma, both psychological and physical, she suffered or how she managed to survive the harrowing legal process to bring the rapists to justice. Australians owe her a debt of gratitude for stopping the gang preying upon other girls. Justice was served, of a sort. But in Australia, the sentence of life imprisonment is usually reserved for murder. As such, violent sexual offenders rarely spend their lives in prison. Some reoffend after release. One of the most infamous was Adrian Bayley, who had served 11 years in jail for repeated sexual offences including rape and was paroled in 2010 before raping and murdering Jill Meagher in 2012.

Other victims brutalised by the Skaf gang included a 16-year-old girl who knew Mohammed Skaf from school. She thought they were friends. He took her to a park where his brother, Bilal, lay in wait with a gang of men. They held her down as Bilal raped her. They looked on, laughing. A second male followed Bilal. He held a gun to the teenager’s head, raped her and kicked her in the stomach in a final act of degradation. The Age reported that when Acting Justice Jane Mathews sentenced Bilal for the rape, he smiled.

The Skaf brothers identify as Lebanese Muslim. Three members of the gang raped another two 16-year-old girls repeatedly in an ordeal that lasted five hours. They dragged the girls by the neck to rape them in a park, and told one: “You deserve it because you are Australian.” One of the victims said outside court that in the course of securing a plea bargain deal, ethnic references had been removed from her statement. The implication is the public do not know to what degree racial hatred might have inspired the rapists, or provided them with a sense of justification for enacting cruel and degrading crimes on girls from Anglo-European descent.

Some media pundits, academics and Islamic community leaders claimed it was Lebanese Muslims who were the victims of racism. They criticised then Labor premier Bob Carr for supporting Finnane, who wanted to name the perpetrators, but could not because they were juvenile offenders. Carr believed they did not deserve such protection. Keysar Trad, of the Lebanese Muslim Association, said naming the rapists would cause their families to suffer. In an interview with the ABC’s 7.30 Report, Trad denied the victims were targeted because of their ethnicity. Rather, the rapists were motivated primarily by “gratification”.

When one racial or religious group targets another for violence and uses racial hatred against victims, it is commonly understood as a hate crime. The fact some racists derive sexual satisfaction from punishing girls or women from another ethnic group does not alter the fact. There is evidence to suggest the ethnic bigotry of the Skaf gang might not have been isolated to the girls they brutalised. On a phone seized by police, they found a message by ringleader Bilal Skaf: “When you are feeling down … bash a Christian or Catholic.” The Australian Associated Press cited a pre-release report compiled by NSW Corrective Services in 2017 that suggested Mohammed Skaf blamed his cultural upbringing for his behaviour towards women, and showed no empathy for his victims.

In his book, The Pursuit of Justice, Finnane revealed that in court, associates of the rapists showed gross disrespect for the victims: “Some people in the public gallery, including the mother of Bilal Skaf, were hurling abuse at the three victims who had turned up for the sentencing.” It was so serious that Finnane was compelled to warn the menacing group to desist, or they would be arrested. The Daily Mail reported that a female relative abused Crown prosecutor Margaret Cunneen, calling her “sharmoota”, meaning whore in Arabic.

Australia does not have the death penalty, but our justice system has repeatedly failed to safeguard law-abiding citizens from dangerous criminals. Releasing violent offenders who feign remorse condemns innocent citizens to suffer. In Australia, the death penalty is by default. The paroled liar’s next unwitting victim is put on death row.

I begin to get the sense that people are saying and writing “Let’s go, Brandon” so they can express a precise sentiment without falling afoul of moderation regimes. (Not really regimes. More juntas.)

Flakebook and Twatter are going to have to declare that bidding Brandon succeed is racist, misogynist, white supremacist, far-right hate speech.

No-one is claiming that baba.
It’s NSW for now, and only for the fully vaccinated.
Considering that Queenslanders can’t get into Queensland from Victoria or NSW without doing two weeks hotel quarantine and nannanna is building a long term quarantine station at Toowoomba it’s a start, and hopefully puts the drongos under a little pressure.

When driving to work today various stations were thanking the government for not making people wear a mask outside anymore.

I suspect quite a few people are ‘grateful’, but would put that down to euphoria. There are propitiatory rituals required now that seem small enough compared to the reward, but when people get used to going to the pub again, especially when boosters become due and they are again being warned they could be reduced to second class citizens without the covid porn media they might not be as complacent.

Right now they are prisoners being freed together. Next time they will be free(r) people being threatened with being imprisoned individually.

The minor parties should be relentless stoking that outrage.

There have been mentions of fetal tissue in connection with the “vaccines”.

Does this mean the tissue was used in the development or testing of the jab, but it’s not actually present in the jab itself?

Or does every jab actually contain fetal cells?

apparently there are no actual foetal cells in the vaccines

Those sorts of article are blackly humorous Rosie! On the one hand they confirm that the vaccine concerned IS in fact manufactured using cells derived from an aborted foetus. Which is exactly why the archbishops of Sydney warned ScoMo last year. And on the other hand they are fact-checking a straw man, since that isn’t and never was the problem. It is such a transparent ploy that it undermines its own intention.

I saw these articles back when the AZ and J&J reservations were starting to become obvious. You’d put a search term like ‘AZ fetal cells’ into a search engine and kazam! These hits would pop up like daisies. They’re like Snopes “fact checks”, which these days also tend increasingly to be political hit pieces and strawman demolitions. Mask and ivermectin “studies” and “fact checks” are very often like this too.

Can anyone be still talking about a virus as we head toward two years of a full state of emergency police state , that which we cannot leave?
Those that won’t take the jab will now be sent to the gulags being built to protect the vaccinated, in what can only be described as the logic of the communist mind.
We are at war, and we haven’t been at war since Feb 2020, but many years prior
We have been sabotaged, fed terrible end of world doom propaganda, they’ve captured our institutions etc.
So when did the war start according to you?
How many years has Australia’s traitors, for that is exactly what they are, stopped any mines, dams, power stations being built, land being cleared, etc, even though to declare these projects and pursue them would have been an easy vote winner?

Australians unfortunately, when looked at and studied by the scientific mind (I’m not talking about the so called experts the government dress in white coats that end up being ex Keating staffers and the like, but actual Historians, psychologists and the like) have to be seen as “as thick as two short planks””As confused as a dyke with a vibrator” when it comes to understanding the world, with a shocking, lemming like belief in government’s inherent goodness, and attacking Christianity from their high viz safety culture of virtue signalling group think.
Stuff the facts or even looking at them?
Vaccinate (they are not vaccines, they do not work as such) themselves, and throw their children into the volcano to sacrifice them to save themselves getting the sniffles!!
Once your society sacrifices it’s children to save the parents, it will not, and does not deserve, to survive.
These so called vaccines kill.
And kill often.
We have been at war for years, just too pig ignorant, cowardly and apathetic to fight back.
The price we will pay will be like nothing the earth has seen before.
A few million toxic colonial class disgusting white people on an island standing in the way of all those resources and associated wealth will be but history, destroyed by their own technology, digital technology.
In fashions requiring minimal effort from the controlling class, the tyranny will be unavoidable and overwhelming and you will have nowhere to hide.
“Going bush” will be a fool’s endeavour.
The digital control of a passport and no cash.
Absolute and utter control of everything you do, consume, say, think, etc.

The answer is no, I think everyone is well aware that they were used in an earlier part of the process or as part of a testing phrase.
As calli mentioned yesterday, testing using those particular foetal cell lines seems to be ubiquitous in the food and health industry. As people are now aware of that I hope all those other products are off the list.
Did you notice that the article also mentioned hydroxychloroquine is an end product of nazi experiments?

We will never get back what it was like before, what little freedoms we had. That’s all gone. We may for a time have what seems to be freedom in small things, but only for a short time.

We have proven to governments that the majority will obey when they use the tools of fear as they have done during this ”pandemic” exercise. Instead of standing up, collectively, against the government’s ”orders” and ”mandates” to have an experimental medical procedure, the majority have capitulated because of ”lockdown”. And no, this is NOT directed at anyone here; the pressure to comply is enormous. Physical, emotional, psychological – enormous pressure. I have seen friends and family hold out for as long as they can …. Look, this is not about whether you have or haven’t; this is about the fear machine the governments have used against us, and readily employed by their media, to bend the population to do their bidding; to bend us to their will.

But there are consequences, as there are for those who have chosen not to comply with an ”order” a ”mandate” for an experimental medical procedure.

The statistics do not add up to a ”pandemic” not by a long shot, but that doesn’t matter apparently. Fear has won and our freedoms are being eroded little by little each day. Look at the Bills they are proposing, the ones Dover has kindly linked to at the right hand side of this site. If 80% get just two little shots, why is the government pushing for an Identity Card, for Vaccine Passports, for forcible internment and additional powers under the Bio-Security Act? You think this will not affect you or your children, your generations to come? Think again. Will the next ”health order” be that a couple can only have 1 child or 2 and no more? We have seen how easily freedom of expression has been clamped down. Remember that pregnant woman in Melbourne who was arrested for posting something online that was in opposition to the government?

We have seen in just a few months the Constitution, the Privacy Act, the Human Rights Act and many more Acts, developed from the 1970s and in force until this year to protect our privacy and freedoms, just thrown under the bus.

There is already talk of a third and fourth ”shot” in Q1 next year. So as we have seen in places like Israel, Finland etc your ”vaccine” passport will be revoked unless you have further shots.

The governments of this country have seen just how easy it is to get people to go against their conscience, their will. It will not end with the mandatory experimental virus jabs.

I hope to God I am completely wrong.

In the last month, Lithuania became the first country in Europe to enforce Covid Pass restrictions in all the society. People without a Covid Pass are banned from most public areas: supermarkets, shopping centers, stores, banks, restaurants, cafes, universities, gyms, libraries, repair services, haircuts, and much more.

At entrances to public spaces, people queue in line to have their Pass verified. Guards scan the Pass of each person, sometimes with a handheld scanner, and sometimes with an installed machine. If you have a valid Pass, the light flashes green and beeps. Then you may enter. The Covid Pass is in the form of QR code on phone or on paper. A person without a Covid Pass may not enter any public space. That person is banned from participating in society. And employers suspend you without pay.

Long post; but it’s important to get the Freedom details correct. Penalties apply.

Halloween 2021: What you can and can’t do [in NSW] while trick or treating this year

To trick or treat in NSW this year or supervise child groups any aged 16 years and over, you will need to provide evidence they are fully vaccinated or medically exempt from being vaccinated. Keep your vaccine passport or letter of exemption handy.

As of today, groups of up to 10 visitors are allowed to gather in homes where all adults are vaccinated, meaning some children can mix with their friendship groups inside. Masks are still required in public indoor settings (including indoor areas of common property of apartment buildings) for those aged 12 and over, meaning proper face masks will be needed in addition to any included with costumes.

For fully-vaccinated residents, 30 people can gather in outdoor settings, which covers trick or treating as it occurs outdoors. Vaccinated Aussies aged 12 years and under don’t need to wear masks outdoors.

The rules for young people aged 13-14 remains unclear so best to err on the side of caution. This age group is usually too ‘cool’ to trick or treat anyway. If they do want to join in best if they wear masks, even outdoors, if not fully vaccinated.

Unvaccinated Australians aged 16 years and over are limited to two per group, as per previous picnic rules in NSW, and won’t be able to visit households or mix with other households while supervising their children. They will also be required to wear masks while trick or treating.

Simple enough?
No, don’t thank me.

Angus Taylor explains:

In a signal to the Nationals, who are yet to agree to stronger emissions cuts ahead of COP26 climate talks in Glasgow, Mr Taylor stressed net zero emissions does not mean stopping all emissions.

“Some in this debate think net zero means zero. It doesn’t. Zero is not zero,” he told an energy and climate summit hosted by the Australian Financial Review on Monday.

Deputy Speaker, Llew O’Brien explains back:

“I can tell the Prime Minister now I won’t be agreeing to any plan that’s put before me the day before he gets on a plane to go to Glasgow,” he said.

I suppose it’s theoretically possible that a government could fuck things up worse…

So when did the war start according to you?
How many years has Australia’s traitors, for that is exactly what they are, stopped any mines, dams, power stations being built, land being cleared, etc, even though to declare these projects and pursue them would have been an easy vote winner?

50 years is my guess.

The western world’s left abandoned the working class at the end of the 60s, by which time it was obvious they would never revolt and install a socialist dictatorship.

The left have been wearing the institutions of the western world as so many skinsuits for 50 years now and they have complete control of society. Political parties, MSM, “social” media, corporations, academia, schools, etc.

The right were defeated decades ago!

In Rort, Rort, Rortitty Rort news:

Queensland will soon be home to the world’s largest green hydrogen manufacturing facility. Here’s what that means

An ABC hackette explains the fundamentals of Green Hydrogen science:

However, on Earth, hydrogen doesn’t appear pure in nature and requires energy to separate it.

This happens when an electrical current is passed through a tank of water, separating hydrogen from oxygen in a process known as electrolysis.

If the electricity is generated from renewable sources, such as solar or wind, the hydrogen emits a vapour that has no carbon footprint.

So, “hydrogen emits a vapour that has no carbon footprint”. A PhD in physical chemistry, right there.

Dr Stephen Miles explains further:

“FFI will construct a facility with an initial capacity to manufacture up to two gigawatts of electrolysers annually,” he said.

That renewable hydrogen energy will then be exported from Queensland to countries around the world.

To my untrained mind, this sounds like a a speccy electrolyser factory rather than a world-leading Green Hydrogen manufacturing plant.

So much to learn…

I cannot fault any of his assessments of the data presented.
His explanation of the incredible stupidity of a vaccination program early during a pandemic was particularly good, not something that is widely known.
It explains the almost complete evolution to the current Delta variant in the US, with concomitant reductions of 50+% in vax efficacy when compared to the early Alpha strains.

Overall, a brilliant summary of the complete takeover of the FDA and CDC by the crony capitalists over two full US administrations. We probably need to go back to FDR’s New Deal to find greater corruption of Federal Instrumentalities, but more knowledgeable Cats might correct me on this.

At least there are highly competent, decent physicians speaking out in the US at a major conference.
In Australia we have Colleges complicit in the false narrative, and State Medical Councils (not AHPRA..) threatening disciplinary action for medicos deviating from it.
Some more of that “larrikin” Aussie spirit we’ve come to appreciate in the last 18 months…

Is there a good summary of Sluggate anywhere? I heard a part of a Discernable video and the guy was arguing that it implicates Andrews as Health Minister, Sutton as CHO,

The closure of I-Cook was in February 2019, when Andrews was Premier, so no chance he will be roped in.
Sutton, on the other hand, has a lot of questions to answer.
The closure notice was kicked up to Health HQ because the normal authority (Dandenong CC) had a conflict, in that they part-owned I-Cook’s failing competitor.
Sutton duly signed it off.
His defenders say he “had to sign it because it was kicked up to his level and …” (not sure where that goes).
Given he might only get one or two of these referrals a year due to conflict of interest, don’t you think an inquisitive evidence-based sciency type guy might ask how the conflict of interest arose?
This podcast might be worth a listen …

Faustus: I’m no Julius Sumner Miller, so pardon my ignorance in thinking there are other means of extracting hydrogen. Isn’t one by some or other process that ‘steams’ coal? The hydrogen plant is in Gladstone, which prompts ‘coal’ as the first word to mind.

If any Cats, preferably those not booted out of Fifth Form science and told never to return, could banish my ignorance it would be appreciated. I suspect that whatever process they use there will be more energy going into the process than is produced.

If the intention is to extract hydrogen from coal, of the energy-intensive irony.
