Incidentally if the vaccines are pure evil the ultimate responsibility is indeed President Trump’s, he absolutely made it happen, impossible to walk away from that fact.

when I imagine a physical incarnation of Rosie in my head, the only thing I can come up with is like a binary star system.

light years from here big ideas orbit orbit one another in a cosmic dance of gigantic proportions

the barycentre of which, turns outs out to be the status quo.

Rosie – Yes, but the Cathedral spent his entire term snowing him. Look at Milley, McMaster, Tillerson and Bolton for example. And Fauci and Birx. I very much doubt the lefty CDC ever bothered to tell Trump that what was being developed weren’t actually vaccines by the usual definition.

If he had his way I suspect he’d’ve rolled out HCQ and/or IVM therapy, like various Indian states have, and as he attempted to early on. But the crazed insanity of the Left meant he could not do that and get decent coverage of the population. Dem states and pollies were hysterically and immediately banning it for political reasons. So he went to the next best thing. Seeing that vaxes are lefty holy writ they more or less had to accept them (even though a long line of lefties tweeted they’d never accept a vax developed under Trump).

their original way of presenting the data had set the hares and hounds running

Yes, as I had picked up. Good to see that the proper result has now been put into a form readable by people who obviously couldn’t read a scientific paper, even a basic one.

That’s not what the authors said in their response to the October correspondence. They agreed that the correspondent’s criticism of what the authors had first said (which was exactly what the social media commenters had pointed out) was perfectly valid. The authors themselves had chosen the wrong denominator in calculating the risks. That wasn’t any sort of misunderstanding by their critics – it was a fault in the paper. The authors certainly haven’t asserted (as you stated above):
Someone had toted up the numbers of two columns and come up with what they thought was bingo! a discrepancy.
The criticism had nothing to do with adding up “two columns”, because the critics never did add up two columns – they compared the two columns separately.
But the two columns referred to very different things, contrasting the figures expected in a population for ‘losses’ in the earlier stages of pregnancy contrasted with the ‘losses’ experienced in the study population. The RR in both was about the same.
That’s exactly what the critics were pointing out – the RR for the study population was based on a wrong denominator, and so it was being falsely represented in the paper that the RR’s were about the same, whereas if the correct denominator was used for the study group the RR’s would have been way different. And now the authors agree that they used the wrong denominator.
They’re saying now that their up to date data has closed the gap, which seems perfectly plausible on the face of it.

tell people to be scared and command to take drugs…see if people ok

turns out nothing ok.
so, start again with new experiment
repeat until everything ok.

Not really. The good thing about Trump was that he would fire your arse if you didn’t work out. The problem with hiring anyone is that depending on the job, you have say 20 minutes to a couple of hours interviewing someone. As much as you want, you can’t really assess just how good a person is going to be at the job.
The critical thing is to be ready to fire the person if they aren’t working out. It’s harder to fire than it is to hire. It ought to be at least equal or the other way around. Trump was great at firing.

It just struck me that some of you young innocents might not even know this:

The Coolgardie safe is a low-tech food storage unit for cooling and prolonging the life of whatever edibles are kept in it. It applies the basic principle of heat transfer which occurs during evaporation of water.

That puts me in the pre-ice ages. ?

Sweet, Lizzie. As a young Aussie innocent whose first family fridge ran on kero, I certainly knew about Coolgardie safes. We had a cupboard (built ten years before I was born) called ‘the safe’ which had a bit of a flyscreen in the door, but no wet bag sides, so a roast for cold meat could be vented while cooling and kept for a couple of meals without getting flyblown.

If you saw movie shorts (after TV came) they might have shown a man with a wagon like the milkman, delivering ice (as a giant block) to go in an ice chest too. I guess that was a city thing.

I visited the vet today for my cat’s annual check-up and am still in shock. Someone who is as good as a doctor, a scientist, is fully, and I mean FULLY taken in by this scam. Re Thalidomide we were fortunate to have Dr Bill McBride a great man even if marred in later years. As aI trainee nurse at the beginning of the 60s I knew him well during my years in womens private and public surgical wards in which I worked. All the nurses thought him a darling! He would visit his patients day and night. He had rooms I believe at Bexley or Hurstville which were in our hospital area. Different hospital system back in those days. In order to have use of the hospital’s operating theatres then specialists would have treat public patients for free.

The kindest thing you can say about Morrison is that he is stupid. Doesn’t anyone in his department watch TV or read the news? Haven’t any of them seen what is happening in UK?

A much needed happy story, in the dinnertime quiet. Scroll if you don’t want to be uplifted.

My (100% Aussie) cleaning lady, J, came today and first off, settled down for our regular cuppa-and-a-chat. She has a severely physically disabled 5 yo granddaughter, A, for whom she has been trying to buy a transport van with hydraulic chair lift, costing in excess of $30.000 second hand.

Long story short: her priest, who had been tasked by a late parishioner to distribute to various charities her sizable estate, bought the van for them, and the van salesman, touched by this kindness, paid for the rail transport from WA to SA. Various local businesses who had been collecting for the van said, on being told that the donations were no longer required, that J must keep the money to help with registration and insurance.

An extremely happy outcome for a family and the community that readily supports them. Stop reading here if you like happy endings.

The kind priest is being investigated by his superiors on the grounds that the benefactress had been coerced into supporting the priest’s preferred charities, which include (apart from A) another severely disabled child, a weekly soup kitchen in his town, an orphanage in Burma and an additional, outside bathroom added to his manse so that homeless can wander in at any time to take a shower and clean up, no questions asked, no conversation required.

There’s always a Grinch.

Dear readers, I will read out some mail I received today:

________________________

Dear Lord Charles Upchuck,

Freedom day? Yeah right.

Since the dawn of the COVID age we have been bombarded with state-sponsored slogans. Some of our favourites were ‘two weeks to flatten the curve,’ ‘the new normal’ and who could forget, ‘we’re all in this together.’

We have learnt to be distrustful of government. Premier Berejiklian made headlines several months ago declaring there’d never be another lockdown … which was just before we went into a three and half month lockdown. Lockdowns are inhumane. They have caused immense collateral social and economic damage

The latest is that today is ‘NSW Freedom Day!’ How is this Freedom Day when:

Almost three in ten adults continue to live in extreme lockdown – almost two million people. If someone hasn’t had their COVID vaccine by now then let’s just leave them be. Do we really want the state to manipulate citizens into doing something that rightly or wrongly they are anxious about? Worse case is that in the vicinity of 0.001% of the unvaxxed die from COVID. The government must cease coercing citizens with that low level of risk.

The state is still going to monitor all your movements via QR-codes. What’s worse is our leaders never mention the date this Orwellian system will be unplugged. Feels like the state has fallen in love with QR codes.

Vaccine passports will be required to enter most premises. The Oxford Dictionary definition of segregation is, “the act or policy of separating people from different groups and treating them in a different way.” Vaccine passports are capital s Segregation. The danger posed by COVID does not justify this abandonment of a liberal society. Even if passports end in December as promised a dangerous precedent has been set.
Citizens must rally in defence of a liberal society.
Mask mandates remain in place for everyone (over 12) in all indoor public venues.

Schools not re-opening and when they do it sounds like five year olds will be forced to wear masks. The youngest Australia to die of COVID was in his 20s. Feels like the state just wants to teach the next generation about compliance.

Our lives will still be strictly regulated around how many people we can socialise with etc.

Retail shops owned by mums and dads will be used by the government to check the medical status of their patrons and demand a refusal of service if the paperwork doesn’t comply. Business people want good relations with their customers – not to be an arm of the police.

Thousands of good citizens are having sleepless nights as they weigh up taking a vaccine (they do not want) and their employment.

But yes …. besides all of the above some of us have a little more freedom that yesterday. Yah! Thank you Our Dear Leaders!

Source: https://7news.com.au/lifestyle/health-wellbeing/fully-jabbed-enter-final-nsw-lockdown-day-c-4194005

Some nations have truly embraced Freedom Day – Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Britain and so too have several American states. Some have seen an uptick in COVID cases but most haven’t and Norway saw a collapse. Let’s get back to normal, roll up our sleeves and begin the economic clean-up ASAP.

I don’t know about the other two Bruce, but weren’t Tillerson and Bolton appointed by Trump himself? If they were swamp duds, doesn’t that reflect on Trump’s judgement somewhat?

Sancho – I’ve commented before how difficult it is for a truly righty President to get staff. The elites are now completely lefty, which means anyone senior enough and experienced enough for high office is a lefty. Tillerson is a classic example. Who’d believe that the CEO of Exxon would be a lefty? But anyone who reads blogs like WUWT knows that Exxon is green as grass, like Shell and BP.

McConnell slow-walked confirmations for Trump’s administration so much that it was going to take over 9 years of his first 4 year term to confirm all his guys, due to Senate obstructionism. And any that were real righties would not be confirmed due to guys like Romney, so Trump had to compromise to get someone with experience into key positions. It’s really hard to find righties with that level of seniority after 50 years of Gramsci. And no insufficiently experienced nominee would’ve been confirmed.

And then any agency that did not get a Trump nominated director confirmed by the Senate would continue to be run by the swamp dwellers at Assistant Director level in acting capacity. We saw that with Gina Haspel, who is a full-grade creature from the Black Lagoon, yet was Pompeo’s deputy. Trump was lucky to have Pompeo, who does seem to’ve been red-pilled somewhat by his short experience at the CIA, such that he did a really good job as SecState once the treasonous Tillerson was booted.

It’s a complete tell that McConnell has waved through Biden’s confirmations with barely a squeak. Even an ecoterrorist for Bureau of Land Management (fox/henhouse) and an actual Marxist economist to run the banking system.

When your consider his own party was fighting him as well as the opposition party, all the elites and the agencies, it’s amazing he got done as much as he did. And to get him out of office they had to steal an election.

Absolutely … his instincts were great. He wanted to defund the WHO early in the piece for snowing him. Unfortunately – no one supported him. No one.

the critics never did add up two columns – they compared the two columns separately.

And came to entirely the wrong conclusions about them. That is indisputable.

OK, you now admit that your former grounds for dismissing the critics (that they added up two columns) were totally wrong. But you’re still asserting that “they came to entirely the wrong conclusion” about them?

Face facts Lizzie, this time you’ve beclowned yourself.
The paper was published.
The social media critics pointed out that the wrong denominator had been used for the study group’s risk.
The pro-vaxx cheer squad started harrumphing and hand waving, sneering at the supposed ignorance of the ghastly oiks who were daring to question the narrative.
You joined in, misunderstanding what the critics were saying (with your erroneous “adding up two columns” calumny), but getting fully on board with the disdain towards the critics who you assumed “obviously couldn’t read a scientific paper, even a basic one”.
Now the authors themselves have slapped the custard pie in your face by admitting that the criticism was correct – they had used the wrong denominator.

The rest is all post hoc stuff. And not really relevant.

If you mean that the authors’ admission is “post hoc”, well it post-dates the criticism and the pro-vaxx cheer squad’s reactions, so in a very literal sense is “post hoc”, but I’d say it’s extremely relevant.

Don’t need psychohistory. Normal history suggests a strong man / empire.

All republics typically end up under – first benevolent – and then total despots. The Athens / Greek model ended up with Philip and then Alexander and the Roman model with Augustus. Napoleon is also a prime example. People need to have someone strong to look up to, protect them, and tell tell them what to do!

That’s why Trump never was someone to be scared of, not even lefties (although they were rightly scared that he’d overturn their cherished nutty policies).

All those dictators and strongmen come from the Army. Like Bony: he could draw upon the young officers to fill out his administration. Al-Sisi in Egypt is the same. Trump never has had loyal wingmen, since he’s been a solo force for so long.

Revolutions all come from the Left. Very rarely putsches come from the Right (eg. Pinochet). But never in history has a right-wing free market capitalist become a dictator. It isn’t possible.

Trump was actually the complete opposite of someone who could become a despot. But the leftards are expecting someone… and they know that if it isn’t one of theirs, the crucifixes on the road to Rome after the gladiators revolt will pale in comparison.

It will be very interesting to see what happens in 2024. I now reckon that Trump will run. Not as a matter of pride – but because he will not trust anyone to do the right thing and bring back a constitutional republic.

[If the left were prepared to steal elections, destroy economies, and kill people (covid / vaxx measures!) to stop the Trump phenomenon – what will they be prepared to do next time? They know a Trump victory can not be repeated at any cost!]

Is this the one you were looking at?
From December 14, 2020, to February 28, 2021, note the reference to “pregnant persons” which makes me a bit dubious about the intellectual heft of the article.
RESULTS

A total of 35,691 v-safe participants 16 to 54 years of age identified as pregnant. Injection-site pain was reported more frequently among pregnant persons than among nonpregnant women, whereas headache, myalgia, chills, and fever were reported less frequently. Among 3958 participants enrolled in the v-safe pregnancy registry, 827 had a completed pregnancy, of which 115 (13.9%) were pregnancy losses and 712 (86.1%) were live births (mostly among participants vaccinated in the third trimester). Adverse neonatal outcomes included preterm birth (in 9.4%) and small size for gestational age (in 3.2%); no neonatal deaths were reported. Although not directly comparable, calculated proportions of adverse pregnancy and neonatal outcomes in persons vaccinated against Covid-19 who had a completed pregnancy were similar to incidences reported in studies involving pregnant women that were conducted before the Covid-19 pandemic. Among 221 pregnancy-related adverse events reported to the VAERS, the most frequently reported event was spontaneous abortion (46 cases).

A near 20% miscarriage rate? Not an obvious safety signal?
CONCLUSIONS

Preliminary findings did not show obvious safety signals among pregnant persons who received mRNA Covid-19 vaccines. However, more longitudinal follow-up, including follow-up of large numbers of women vaccinated earlier in pregnancy, is necessary to inform maternal, pregnancy, and infant outcomes.

And another link – 82% miscarriage rate?

When you read the history, the chinese were in fact absolutely pathetic and pretty much got conquered by tiny western armies. Trump is not bad on the blogosphere but no one running an organization like his, and has been campaigning for high office, has the time to consistently read such sources. And even if he did he still had to find someone to be approved as SecState. Who else? They’d’ve had to be someone the Senate would approve, and we now know just how hostile McConnell and the Senate RINOs were to anything and anyone Trump wanted. I actually agree with you somewhat. It was a bad choice for Trump to choose a CEO, because every CEO has an ego the size of a planet. It goes with the species. Therefore expecting a CEO to take orders from another CEO is an immediate clash of egos. But the same problem remains…where does Trump get a SecState nominee who isn’t a lefty and who can be relatively quickly confirmed by the Senate? I think he took a punt that a guy who had been the head of the corporation most hated by Greens on this planet might have learned enough to reject the Left’s doctrines. Jesus christ, where do these idiots come from?

Probably made up by a “journalist”.

https://7news.com.au/lifestyle/health-wellbeing/nsw-paramedic-reacts-to-freedom-day-she-says-scariest-part-of-covid-pandemic-still-to-come-c-4200578

Like many of the state’s health care workers who have spent months risking their own wellbeing to save lives from COVID, the idea of lifting lockdown now brings her “massive” anxiety.

“This is the scariest part of the pandemic so far,” she told AAP.

“Everyone’s so f***ing terrified, all of us in the southwest.

“Look at London – hundreds of people are dying a week and they’re just going about it like there’s no problem. I don’t think Australia is ready for that.

“It feels like all the things that need to be in place aren’t and now it’s like ‘Oh well, we’ll see how it goes’.”

It’s not like her career so far has been a walk in the park either.

Since beginning the job in September, it’s been more common for her to watch someone die of COVID than go a shift without interacting with a case.

“My first ever job was a COVID job and if you get a day without COVID, it’s incredible. I’ve had one,” she said.

“I even went to a job where a guy had been in an accident – it was a trauma job – and people came out to help him and they weren’t wearing masks.

“We found out an hour after we got him to the ED that he was COVID positive.”

The literal burden of treating desperately sick virus patients is heavy but so is the mental toll.

“What really hurts me, it’s not so much that it’s like someone’s died, it’s the family’s response to it,” she said.

“I think they just think as soon as paramedics turn up, everything will be ok.

“But if this person has been gasping for air for a couple of hours and their body is starting to shut down, there’s very little we can do to reverse that.”

Relegating fear for her own safety to the back of her mind can be a challenge too.

“There’s certainly no social distancing in a resuscitation,” she said.

“You’re giving compressions, your face is arm’s-length away.

“I feel like when I’m treating someone I can see the germs coming out of their mouth and their nose and I’m always way too close.

“Pretty much every time I go to a COVID patient I’m like, ‘This is it. I’ve got it. I’m going to kill my family, I’m going to put my loved ones at risk’.”

Effin’ BS.

I’m sorry. Let’s go to the tape:

Since beginning the job in September, it’s been more common for her to watch someone die of COVID than go a shift without interacting with a case.

Hmm. She also works as a hospice doctor, does she?

Wow been cancelled a couple of times due to weather. Last time was BNE-NTL flight due to evening fog spent a couple of hours lined up to be told I couldn’t get a flight for 4 days so I rebooked on a flight into Mascot the next afternoon and got the train up. It was absolute chaos in Brisbane terminal with only a few dozen flights, imagine 1400 across a few airports.

The NEO surveys have pretty much picked up anything big enough to be a threat in the next century. Short of a black swan asteroid there’s nothing out there which is threatening.

A Dalton-level cool phase seems likely though on the data. Which would twist the climateers into ever more intricate knots. Which would be fun to watch, except we won’t have electricity to watch with.

If you think about it, a MIRV really is only a package of micro-satellites with really shitty orbital trajectories and a [deliberately] under-powered launch platform.

Also, as a trivia point for Rocket Cats*, the rockets the Russian Space Agency uses to lob its Soyuz capsules into orbit (and have done so since Gagarin) are based on a failed first-generation ICBM design.

This is not the hill to die on.

No it never is, is it?

Let me remind you:

We will never get back what it was like before, what little freedoms we had. That’s all gone. We may for a time have what seems to be freedom in small things, but only for a short time.

We have proven to governments that the majority will obey when they use the tools of fear as they have done during this ”pandemic” exercise. Instead of standing up, collectively, against the government’s ”orders” and ”mandates” to have an experimental medical procedure, the majority have capitulated because of ”lockdown”. And no, this is NOT directed at anyone here; the pressure to comply is enormous. Physical, emotional, psychological – enormous pressure. I have seen friends and family hold out for as long as they can …. Look, this is not about whether you have or haven’t; this is about the fear machine the governments have used against us, and readily employed by their media, to bend the population to do their bidding; to bend us to their will.

But there are consequences, as there are for those who have chosen not to comply with an ”order” a ”mandate” for an experimental medical procedure.

The statistics do not add up to a ”pandemic” not by a long shot, but that doesn’t matter apparently. Fear has won and our freedoms are being eroded little by little each day. Look at the Bills they are proposing, the ones Dover has kindly linked to at the right hand side of this site. If 80% get just two little shots, why is the government pushing for an Identity Card, for Vaccine Passports, for forcible internment and additional powers under the Bio-Security Act? You think this will not affect you or your children, your generations to come? Think again. Will the next ”health order” be that a couple can only have 1 child or 2 and no more? We have seen how easily freedom of expression has been clamped down. Remember that pregnant woman in Melbourne who was arrested for posting something online that was in opposition to the government?

We have seen in just a few months the Constitution, the Privacy Act, the Human Rights Act and many more Acts, developed from the 1970s and in force until this year to protect our privacy and freedoms, just thrown under the bus.

There is already talk of a third and fourth ”shot” in Q1 next year. So as we have seen in places like Israel, Finland etc your ”vaccine” passport will be revoked unless you have further shots.

The governments of this country have seen just how easy it is to get people to go against their conscience, their will. It will not end with the mandatory experimental virus jabs.

I hope to God I am completely wrong. But I don’t think I am.

OK, you now admit that your former grounds for dismissing the critics (that they added up two columns) were totally wrong. But you’re still asserting that “they came to entirely the wrong conclusion” about them?

Now you and your seven-strong anti-vaxx cheer squad are being ridiculous. I admit nothing of the sort. The idiot commentators in the particular piece you linked to some time ago (ooh lookit the way their figures don’t add up, they were saying) tried to assess the vaxx population by reference to the figures for the demographic population. In my book that is ‘toting up the two columns’, trying to make the one relate to the other as part of the study population, which of course it is not. What they did is totally confuse the study population (the denominator) with the contrast population (the other column) and then tried to fit the data for the former into the results for the latter. Hence it gave the figure that at 2.58pm today you were so happy to tout – that 115 miscarriages occured among the 147 women you believed were vaxxed in their first or second trimester. Patently ridiculous.

Now you are twisting the words of the wrongly harassed researchers concerning their denominator (which was within the study group, quite obviously). They say they revised the presentation of their data in order to make the study and the contrast populations more obvious to scientifically-illiterate commenters and to indicate their time series, which had been grossly misunderstood too. I don’t discount that they may have had comentators I am unaware of that they also wished to answer, less illiterate than those producing the figures you toted today, and believe me, that would not be hard.

End of this story for me now. The study seems to demonstrate the vaxxes have no obvious deleterious effect on pregnancy outcomes, allowing regular delivery from a healthy mother of a healthy child, not beyond what might be normally expected statistically from a given group of women, which was all it was designed to show. Other outcomes such as possible future impacts on the health of either are not the issue for this study. It is still open to any mother to refuse to vaxx during pregnancy, depending on how she assesses her personal risk and that of her child.

Gab, to be honest I didn’t get the jab because I felt compelled by anyone to have it done. I just felt that if I had the the vaccine I would be protected and from the second jab onward I wouldn’t feel like I was living in a pandemic state. I kind of feel liberated in the sense that even if I got the Chinese bioweapon I wouldn’t suffer the effects as badly as if I didn’t.

Also, I want to get to NYC. The city needs to visit if it’s going to make it long term. Also, I need to see if that Picasso I saw in the art gallery on Madison Ave and 75th (I think it’s 75th) actually sold for US$18 million. Just stuff like that made me thing it was a good trade off.

From now on though, the battle intensifies. Four kids and six grandkids still need me too.

I’m not wanting to get any more sick than usual when travelling, nor to get sick around here, and there is still a lot of the world that I want to visit and much there to see. I have hardly scratched the surface of the megalithic sites of Europe. Malta was great for that though, and I want to return. As well as still go up the Amazon. Can’t let go of that yet.

Whoops

Also, I want to get to NYC. The city needs me to visit if it’s going to make it long term.
