So I wonder how they will press gang a quota of observably blackish (HOW F’N RACIST IS THAT?) community jurors onto the next trial, or any trial?

Another aspect is that internecine quarrels millennia in the making will play out.

A defendant being judged by someone from a tribe that has a grudge against his will complicate things further.

Finally the only person allowed on the jury will be his family and friends. And his girlfriend wheeled into court accompanied by hospital personnel.

“The first casualty of war is the truth” – aint that the truth!

Saw reports when I woke up this morning that “Huuuuge explosions heard in Belarus” and thought to myself that “that didn’t sound very good.” My immediate secondary thought was “that doesn’t sound very plausible.”

Turns out they were sonic booms from overpassing aircraft. But then again, perhaps it wasn’t.

Freedom loving Victorian refugees are fleeing to Free QLD – and NSW, to a lesser extent, by the tens of thousand so they can simply work, and also run their businesses without a “ring of steel” being rammed up their behind.

Forget “the left”, you and I both see how these bozos knobble (and attempted to knobble last years) burgeoning effective counter-movement with their baffling endless henpecking, effeminate ganging up, and stockholm syndrome.

You’re going to have to figure out a way to sideline them if you ever want to get out of that one party tyranny situation down there.

RDA, etc seem to have the way.

What’s that?

Remove a one-party tyranny by replacing it with another one-party tyranny because you deem the average person too stupid or easily distracted or insufficiently motivated to get the outcome you desire?

What is it with you oppressed ‘rebel’ types always wanting to immediately become the oppressors yourselves?

What is it with truck drivers and not turning off their engines? They would back in, and then leave the truck turned on while they went for a cup of tea while it was unloaded.

Do what my brother used to do on the 40+ degree days at the Karratha port when the blokes in white shirts drove onto the refueling jetty to step out and dispense their wisdom to the masses. (for 5 minutes at a time)

They all left their car running with the air con set on “penguin balls” setting. My brother would sneak across and change it to “the crispy, crispy pork crackling” setting instead.

Sneaky little shit, he never got caught and no-one dobbed him in either.

Anyway, I think we shall soon get fairly definitive evidence of who’s winning and who’s losing the war in Ukraine. If it turns out the Russians haven’t been having their arses handed to them this whole time after all, watch the propaganda machine switch from a cocktail of ‘plucky little Ukraine taking down the bear’ mixed with ‘Zelensky so hot’ and a twist of ‘WAR CRIMES’, to ‘WAR CRIMES’ neat. If you’ve been imbibing, please stop. You’re being lied to.

Incidentally, why have RT and Sputnik been censored? I’m not saying these are wonderful news sources, but what could they be broadcasting that’s so outrageous that they need to be silenced?

The point being made is/was:
Publications that had been for years declaring Ukraine/Ukrainian nationalists to be fair dinkum Nazis & this was a defining feature of Ukraine, have suddenly gone radio silent on the topic.

Sorta like the same publications were all for cognitive testing of Trump coz “likely unfit to be President” have not made a peep about Biden’s actual cognitive state.

the only thing the MSM is good for these day is the page 3 girls. which of course no longer exist and if they did they would be fags or trannies

I was born into an ancient aristocratic family which was very wealthy, and had extensive lands both in England and on the Continent. All the gold coins and castles we had were absolutely earned through merit.

Somehow it all went bad about 200 years ago, and the mavericks of the family were banished to the colonies. I grew up in a shitpit and had to wear a sack for a dress.

However, being naturally stunning I was soon identified as such, and much like cream rising to the top I excelled at everything I touched despite being afflicted by various level of adversity previously unheard of in human history.

“This is not directed to you Cassie, but how about the Russophiles stop referring to Zelensky’s corruption without at least zeroing on Putin’s. That is unless someone is going to suggest Putin is as clean as a whistle.”

JC, I doubt anyone here thinks thinks Vlad is as clean as a whistle. I certainly don’t, sure he’s spent the last two decades feathering his own nest just the way the Sniffer has spent the last four decades lining his pockets. Where did the Sniffer get his dosh? I’m not surprised that a despot like Putin lines his pockets but a senator from Delaware well known for his mediocrity? The Sniffer hasn’t been given any literary advances to write books titled “The Tale of a Corrupt Politician from Delaware” or “My Addiction to Sniffing Little Girl’s Hair” or “The Ballad of Old Joe and Corn Pop”. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s Putin was driving a taxi to earn a crust, which must have been very humiliating, only this afternoon I was talking to someone who visited Russia in 1992 and he said that the economic and social devastation was awful. I do think Vlad is bitter about what happened to the Soviet Union however he doesn’t was to recreate the old Soviet Union, he wants to recreate Imperial Russia. We’ll see how that pans out. As for Zelensky, I actually do think he’s quite brave, foolishly so. And yes, Putin is a brutal dictator who eliminates his enemies but it’s worth remembering that Russia has never been a democracy. That’s how all Russia’s rulers have operated.

Unlike Russia, I always thought that we here in the West do live in a democracy….yet I’m not so sure now. I’ve spent the last few weeks ruminating about why I’m now so tepid about the West. Well, you see I no longer believe that we here in the West have any moral high ground. I’ve lost faith in our governments, our judiciary, our police and our media. I’ve seen our rights, particularly over the last two years, trashed by politicians. I’ve seen people harassed by police, I’ve seen a pregnant woman handcuffed in her pyjamas in her own home…for the crime of a Facebook post, I’ve seen a man thrown to the ground at a Melbourne train station, I’ve seen politicians turn a blind eye to BLM protests yet set the police on men and women protesting for the right to go to work during a ridiculous lockdown, I’ve seen our MSM connive with police and politicians to target individuals like George Pell and Zachary Rolfe and destroy their lives, I’ve seen progressive scum scream “Nazi” at anybody who dares disagree with them, I’ve seen police walk into a church during Mass and harass people, I’ve seen police harass Orthodox Jews for trying to celebrate one of Judaism’s holiest days, I’ve seen and heard so many dreadful things over the last few years here in the West that I’m constantly asking myself if we are any better than a country like Russia? I don’t believe we are, sure maybe I’m being somewhat hyperbolic and melancholy but hearing the news today that Smollett has been released after instigating a serious hoax crime that could have resulted in a race riot yet the January 6 rioters are still languishing in a jail cell is just another example of why I think the West is rotting. And I haven’t even discussed the whole sinister LGBTQRARSE and transgender gunk but one thing is for sure, all of this contributes to the rotting carcass that is the West in 2022. It isn’t the West of our grandparents.

There’s a character called “Living the dream” who haunts the other threads and he’s accused me of being Putin’s moll. It’s laughable and untrue. I don’t defend Putin or the invasion but I no longer defend the West…..because there’s little to defend. That doesn’t make me a Putin apologist.

Somebody upthread mentioned the Brisbane ABC cancer hysteria thing, which cost taxpayers millions. People who do not understand statistics have no idea that clusters are normal, as big zones with nothing are as well.

Looking back at my life, according to the eco-warriors, I am lucky to be alive, and yet, the life expectancy of Australians keeps rising.

I have smoked cigarettes for 50 years, lived in fibro houses, lived under the Zetland garbage burner, shamelessly eaten charred meat, lots of so called ‘junk food’, plenty of salt, taken various drugs, consumed more than the recommended amount of alcohol per day, hate exercise – gosh, is there a single rule I haven’t broken?

But, here I am. I should say that already a few of my contemporaries who ‘did everything right’ are under the sod, not to mention some who didn’t.

‘Bit rich’ for Roberts-Smith to back mental health charity, soldier tells court
Michaela Whitbourn
By Michaela Whitbourn
March 17, 2022 — 9.29am

An elite soldier has told the Federal Court it was a “bit rich” for war veteran Ben Roberts-Smith to be patron of a mental health charity because he believed the decorated former soldier was a bully who had caused a comrade to develop depression.

Person 7, a senior Special Air Service soldier whose identity cannot be revealed for national security reasons, told Mr Roberts-Smith’s defamation case on Thursday that he spoke to investigative journalist Chris Masters about the former soldier, including allegations of bullying and war crimes.

Person 7 also appeared on screen, with his face and voice obscured, in an interview with The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald’s investigative reporter Nick McKenzie on Nine’s 60 Minutes in 2019, in which he named Mr Roberts-Smith as being responsible for kicking an unarmed Afghan man off a cliff in 2012.

Person 7 has agreed in court that he did not see the alleged incident but said he believed an account of it given to him by a former SAS soldier, Person 4, who has previously told the court he was an eyewitness to the cliff kick.

Mr Roberts-Smith’s barrister, Arthur Moses, SC, referred to notes taken by Mr Masters in early 2016, and asked Person 7 whether he had said of Mr Roberts-Smith’s charity work in recent years: “Beforehand he did not give a shit about charities. I’ve got my views. He’s trying to make his reputation look squeaky clean by taking insurance.”

Person 7 said he could not recall the exact words, but “very possibly” he did make those comments.

“I can say this: [serving SAS soldier] Person 1 was suffering depression, and I thought it was interesting that one of the charities that RS then went and fronted was a mental health charity, considering that Person 1 has told me that the depression he suffered was because of his association and experiences with RS.”

“Do you know for a fact that Mr Roberts-Smith gave depression to Person 1?” Mr Moses asked.

“Person 1 told me that, yes. I believe that allegation.”

He said he was “trying to imply, Mr Moses, that I feel that it’s a bit rich that you’ve given a soldier depression, and then you go and become a patron, or whatever the position was, of a mental health charity.”

Asked if he was jealous that Mr Roberts-Smith was doing charity work, Person 7 replied: “Mr Moses, I can tell you now, I have never been jealous of RS.”

Person 7 told the court on Wednesday that he had supported Person 1 in making a bullying complaint against Mr Roberts-Smith, and had witnessed Mr Roberts-Smith disparaging and “character assassinating” the SAS soldier.

Person 7 had been Person 1’s troop commander and first encountered him in 2007 or 2008, when he found him to be a “good, steady soldier”.

He denied that he was seeking to “bring down” Mr Roberts-Smith or tarnish his reputation, but said some of the things he told Mr Masters, including about Mr Roberts-Smith’s marriage, amounted to “petty, immature, childish gossip”.

He agreed that he likened Mr Roberts-Smith to a frilled-neck lizard who would “back off” if confronted, and told Mr Masters he had stood up to him and “seen how he starts lying straight away”.

Person 7 also agreed that appearing on 60 Minutes was a mistake because it was contrary to Defence Force policy to speak to the media without authorisation.

Mr Roberts-Smith is suing The Age, the Herald and The Canberra Times for defamation over a series of articles that he says accuse him of being a war criminal and engaging in a campaign of bullying against another soldier.

The media outlets are seeking to rely on a defence of truth and allege Mr Roberts-Smith committed or was involved in six murders of Afghans under the control of Australian troops, when they cannot be killed under the rules of engagement, and that he bullied a fellow soldier.

Mr Roberts-Smith maintains any killings in Afghanistan were carried out lawfully in the heat of battle and that he did not engage in bullying.

The trial continues.

I agree with much of what you said. The west, though has the ability to recover and essentially reverse, although it may take some time, but we do have the systems to be able to do so. We do have the ability to self correct. Who would have thought it was possible in the UK just before Maggie T. Russia doesn’t under that thieving rat. Moreover, he’s destroyed the place and he’s going out of his way to destroy the nation next door. 1. Did they have something on the Clintons?
2. What jabs had they had?

Yes, I did for a moment wonder. A political murder? What if the displeasure Kimberley had expressed about the Chinese hierarchy had led to something similar to the return displeasures expressed on his enemies by that great friend of China, Czar Putin? I rejected it as too conspiratorial, weak on motivation and lacking in evidence.

Atrial fibrulation from the jab, well, there is that. Could perhaps have been contributory?

I think mean girls is a far better explanatory fit. Leak nails it.
Brava also to Pauline Hanson, in obvious distress, who knew how to be a true friend.

The main question: What would it be doing there?

A pretty difficult question to answer with any USSR weapon. The USSR has very few “rare” weapons and they scattered them about the satellites and globe with abandon. Even “sniper” rifles are very common, Soviet distribution of telescoped rifles was effectively down to “designated marksman” level so there was an awful lot of them made, eg. around 50,000 PU snipers made by Ishevsk alone with the satellites also making their own versions into the late 50’s.

Also, 7.62X54R is still a standard Russian calibres and the 91/30 is generally considered to be better than or on par with the rifles designed to replace it.

The mosin was the AK47 of its day – rough but reliable and made by the tens of millions, hence a good many are around to this day, especially, I would think, in Eastern Europe. I fitted a genuine WW2 scope to my well worn 1942 example and its still pretty good out to 500m, or even 750 if you get a sighter or 2 for the wind. It originally cost me $150, including 100 rounds of ammo about 5 years ago, plus about $350 to source and fit the scope.

However, since I posted these articles, much more worrying information came to light. It concerns “germ line modifications”, that is, modifications of female eggs and male sperm, that might cause female infertility in the next generation.

Moreover, he’s destroyed the place and he’s going out of his way to destroy the nation next door.

Everything is relative. When Putin took over Russia, the place was a real basket case. Infested with mafia running whole regions, resources being raped and sold for almost zero tax collections, endemic police corruption and violence, most of the population living hand to mouth. Their standard of living had plummeted. People were living in real fear of their future, it’s difficult to describe the desperate mood many felt. Putin stabilized the economy and put it onto a growing track. People could at least breathe easier and be hopeful. That’s not to say he’s not a complete thug , a thief and a/hole, he is. But there is in Russia an enduring respect and gratitude for what Putin has done to save Russian from spiraling into absolute violent chaos.

Ukraine eventually will be his end I expect. I don’t think he wants to occupy Ukraine but he wants surety Ukraine will not enter NATO and that the Donbass is part of Russia free of Ukraine brutal attacks. Also the land bridge to Crimea. But it’s only a matter of time until these sanctions cause great ruination in Russia, undoing the progress of the last 30 years sending people back to that fearful state. Is he pulling the same stunt as Holmes a Court? “Oh, we’re not a Political Party. We’re just a loose collection of concerned citizens.”
This might be intended to avoid public scrutiny of donations.
Is he delaying registration until tge last minute for the same reason? Funds could be collected privately by Bosi prior and donated after registration as a single donation from “R Bosi Field Marshall ret’d”
Or does he have no intention of registering and running? If so, the “Donate” button on the A1 site is a bit misleading as most donors would think they are donating to a political campaign.

RT’s version;

Responding to claims by Ukraine that an airstrike destroyed a theater in Mariupol and killed civilians sheltering there, the Russian Defense Ministry said there had been no such strikes against ground targets in that city, and accused the neo-Nazi “Azov” battalion of killing its hostages.

The Russian military was aware of reports that “Azov” militants had kept civilians inside the theater as human shields, and did not consider the building a target for airstrikes for that reason, Major-General Igor Konashenkov said in a statement.

“Previously, it was known from the refugees who got out of Mariupol that the Nazis of the Azov Battalion could hold civilians hostage in the theater building, using the upper floors as firing points,” Konashenkov said.

Not to be morbid but has there been any evidence of civilian casualties ate the site?

Russia has repeatedly stated that Azov brigades are inhabiting empty apartment and other buildings for spotting and sniping tasks. Which is why the Russians are hitting those particular targets.

The first sign that Mariupol’s operation nears the end is the fact that in the last 24 hours Russian forces managed to evacuate 31.4 thousand civilians from Mariupol (in Russian) and that shows both a shrinkage of the area of intensive urban combat and large losses in personnel of Azov and VSU forces surrounded in the center of Mariupol. These are also 31.4 thousand witnesses to atrocities and crimes against humanity by West’s Nazi darlings of Azov and VSU.

It doesn’t matter if country has corrupt leaders. The people deserve sovereignty (and liberty of course).

I don’t get the nationalist argument against Ukrainian sovereignty.

It is an philosophy of Russian irredentism.

The idea that Putin has a right to resort to arms if he is miffed by something is absurd.

If Putin wants to just destroy the Ukrainian military to protect and incorporate 3 new provinces of Russians, good for him.

The problem is he is on record noting his disapproval of Ukraine existing at all.

Agreed. If only Putin went after those provinces this would be all over now. He obviously wants much more than that. If corruption is sufficient reason for military invasion there are a large number of countries on the kill list. Putin doesn’t care about the corruption issue, he cares about his agenda; whatever that is.

I also agree with you – Victoria rightly is up for the taking for any traditionalist autocrat, closely followed by Queensland and NSW.

If you remember, I wrote a letter to NIB and they responded with a feeble milky letter supporting the Midget’s boycott. I sent the letter to Andrew Bolt and he opened his programme with my letter and also Mark Fitzgibbon’s shameful and lame response about Pell and the boycott.

from The Daily Terror..

“Federal Labor MP Joel Fitzgibbon’s son Jack pleads not guilty to sexually touching a woman at Exchange Hotel at Hamilton

Jack Fitzgibbon, 31, is alleged to have exposed himself on a pub’s dance floor and rubbed himself on a woman he had never met before, court hears.

The son of retiring Federal MP Joel Fitzgibbon has denied he exposed himself on the dance floor of a popular Newcastle hotel and rubbed himself on a woman he had never met before.

Jack Fitzgibbon, 31, was not required to attend Newcastle Local Court on Thursday where not guilty pleas were formally entered on one count each of sexually touching a person without their consent and behaving in an offensive manner.

Police allege Fitzgibbon was with another man when they walked onto the dance floor of the popular Exchange Hotel in the early hours of November 7 last year and approached a group of four women they did not know.

Court documents allege Fitzgibbon then approached one of the women and “did expose and rub his penis against the victim without her consent”.

Security was called and Fitzgibbon was allegedly asked to leave the Beaumont Street pub.

An investigation was launched and police later handed him a court attendance notice for the two charges including the sexual touching count which carries a maximum sentence of five years’ jail.

Fitzgibbon was not required to attend court on Thursday when the charges were briefly mentioned in front of a registrar.

The court heard that an email from Fitzgibbon’s defence team asked the court to enter not guilty pleas to both counts.

The brief of evidence is due on April 14 and the matter was adjourned to Newcastle Local Court on May 5.

Jack Fitzgibbon is the son of Labor’s Member for Hunter and former defence minister Joel Fitzgibbon, who announced in September that he would retire from politics at the next election after more than 25 years in parliament.

If that’s true, why have they had (albeit stillborn) negotiations that a week or so prior, looked like hostilities may have ceased?

Sovereignty is very muddy in the Ukraine.

Who told you this? Where is your evidence? What about Yanukovych? Do you think his Parliamentary votes and referenda were rigged or not? If you think nefarious external entities engineered a revolution, ask yourself if you think a revolution can happen without any popular support?

Sure, the Bolsheviks won an easy coup – but they won the following Russian Civil War. Because they have mass support at the grassroots.

Look at the electoral map for Zelensky’s run off vote. He wasn’t the puppet candidate. If there was a puppet, it was more likely Poroshenko; Zelensky as DB asserts was conciliatory to Donbas.

President Joe Biden will force Israel to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iran by offering the Iranian regime a new nuclear deal that guarantees it will develop nuclear weapons, something Israel and its Sunni Arab neighbors cannot allow and survive.

The terms of the new deal have been leaked over the past several weeks, as American negotiators have resigned in protest. They do not offer a return to the old, Obama-era Iran deal, which was bad enough: they are much weaker, and much worse.

The new deal, according to former State Department official Gabriel Noronha, will grant Iran access to $90 billion in foreign currency reserves, plus $50-55 billion annually in oil export earnings.

It will also give the ayatollahs $7 billion in ransom for American captives, and it will remove sanctions from some of the world’s worst terrorists, including the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps. Moreover, its terms will expire over nine years, even as the former deal’s terms have already begun to expire.

Why the Nuffish desperation to recast hastily devised and incompetently-administered policies-on-the-run as Narratives of Fascistic Malevolence?

Is it to try and justify in some folks’ own minds the innate evil of human nature that lurks under the surface of peoples’ civility, including their own?

Is it to justify giving up on one’s own life, and blame others for one’s own choice?

Is it something else entirely?

That is neither conservative nor libertarian. It reminds me far too much of leftist bullying and I have definitely had enough of that to last me for my lifetime. If Dover has introduced some ‘rules’ (I haven’t read any yet) that is all to the good. That Kimberly Kitching was associated with Labor activities is irrelevant in the overall context of her death.

The AIF in WW2 started out with 0.55? Boyes antitank rifles. Quite effective against early armour, but were replaced by 2 pounders in the AT battalions as soon as they became available. That 14.5mm monster is bigger than the Boyes.

Even up to 1944 the 14.5mm was effective against the MkIV German tank if you could get the hull side behind the bogeys. The addition of schurzen was to protect the driver behind the 30mm lower hull plating. That it was effective against the hollow charge weapons was just icing on the cake.

Researchers will be knocking on the doors of about 250 households throughout Perth this weekend in a pilot study to find undetected COVID-19 cases.

Random households will be asked to take a saliva-based test, called a LAMP test, which researchers say is more accurate at detecting COVID than rapid antigen tests.

Curtin University and Telethon Kids Institute researcher Nick Golding said the new test could help detect asymptomatic infections.

Seconded. I agree he wants to recreate Imperial Russia rather than the Soviet Union, although I cited the 1922 merger of Russia, Belorussia and Ukraine earlier. That was more because he seems very romantic, and I think the centenary would be quite important to him. He’s fostering Orthodox Christianity, which is in keeping with Tsarist Russia not the CCCP. A good strategy which has done a lot under the radar to stabilize Russia.

Unfortunately he has now had a brain explosion. It’s really sad. As I corresponded with Winston on the OT a while ago it seems to be “old man in a hurry syndrome”. Which occurs when you have a supreme leader model and weak governmental systems underlying the leader. Very like the decline and fall of the Roman Empire where the Emperor was all powerful but endlessly brittle and vulnerable.

Shame you can’t buy the company, or even the suppliers:

Baykar’s drones have been used in 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war by the Azerbaijani army[15] which resulted in a series of boycotts from international companies whom Baykar used to buy products from. Domestic drone manufacturing before that war relied on imported and regulated components and technologies such as the engines from Austria (manufactured by Rotax), fuel systems (manufactured by Andair) and missile rack (manufactured by EDO MBM[16]) from the UK, optoelectronics (FLIR sensors imported from Wescam in Canada or Hensoldt in Germany). Engines exports were halted when Canadian Bombardier, owner of Rotax, became aware of the military use of their recreational aircraft engines.[17] In October 2020 Canadian Wescam (optics and sensors) exports were restricted by the Canadian Foreign Ministry.[18] After learning that their products were utilised to create combat drones, Hampshire-based UK aircraft manufacturer Andair announced the discontinuation of all sales to Baykar Makina on 11 January 2020.[19] The British manufacturer became the latest company to stop selling equipment to Turkey after its components were found in drones shot down during the Nagorno-Karabakh war.[20]

Turkish industry responded to foreign sales boycotts by announcing provision of domestically manufactured alternatives to Baykar – PD170 motor (Turkish Aerospace Industries),[21][22] optical camera (Aselsan CATS system),[23] and fuel valve (Aselsan). Turkish defense industry researcher Kadir Do?an tweeted that cancellation of sales of components to Baykar by foreign companies did not pose a major problem, and that as of January 2021 all those components have been replaced by locally manufactured alternatives[24]

Found 20 Covid cases of which 18 were not even feeling any symptoms.

About a month ago CHO Qld said he thought 1/3 Qld probably had had Covid. That was about 3 X the official number at that time. An inconvenient truth as it means hospitalisation, ICU and death rates even less than published statistics telling us. Good luck finding a journalist pointing that out.

In my extended family (23 in 7 homes) definitely over 50% have had it and all with minor symptoms with some not knowing until tested.
