I think it’s very clear why Bernardi didn’t hand anything over to Bosi.

Absolutely.
Initially I thought it was a case of sour grapes and Bernardi “taking the bat and ball and going home”.
But who would hand across the keys and the mailing list to that moron?
And, if Bosi was running under the Australian Conservatives banner, Bernardi would be copping it for every batshit crazy thing which came out of Bosi’s motor-mouth gob.
Oh, and by the way, the AustraliaOneParty.com website says:-

“AUSTRALIAONE is the party for decent everyday Australians who want the best future for themselves, their families, their local communities and Australia.”
A party.
Which isn’t registered as a party.
With a donate button.
I wonder what the AEC would make of that?

Breaking news!
A militant of the Azov Nazi regiment has just fled and defected to our side. He requested anonymity and we guaranteed it for him, as his family is in the Ukrainian-controlled territory and he fears that other Ukrainian Nazis may slice them in pieces to settle accounts with him.

He has revealed to us a whole lot of exciting information of operational importance, including details of the atrocities committed by the Ukrainian Nazis in Mariupol. But the most important benefit is the location of the Ukrainian militants’ headquarters in the basement of the Mariupol Drama Theatre, while the theatre lobby is fully packed with civilians watched over by 12 Azov fighters preventing them from escaping.

Zelensky is an actor, nothing more.

He’s certainly stepped into the role. Seems to be on the phone to leaders in other countries all day and all night and has been doing so without many stuff ups. A few. But far less than Biden for example, or Boris Johnston. Or even ScoMo. Not a bad effort.

Heinlein has a novel Double Star, where a B-list actor gets recruited to be Prez when the actual Prez gets shot. He steps into the role, playing the character so well that when the original guy dies he takes over and after many years can’t even remember ever being the seedy actor, so perfect is the role he is playing What is real and what is acting? And can acting become real?

It’s a fine story and won the Hugo and Nebula awards. Zelenskyy seems to be turning into that guy, it’s interesting to watch.

I have previously commented here at the Cat on my short but glorious career doing jury duty.

My first and most lasting impression was once herded into the jury waiting room, the vast majority were like sheep without a dog to chase them where they were supposed to be.

Separated from husband/wife/partner/significant other they wandered around looking for a place to sit, asking each other whether it was OK to get a cuppa from the sideboard, are we allowed to use a phone, what time do we get called up, moo moo baa baa. Truly astonishing to realise this was the justice system in action and some poor villain/accused was about to have his fate decided by this mob of “peers”.

The Court Sheriff finally appeared and prodded the herd into some semblance of order , instructions relayed, questions answered, doubts resolved and the selection process began. Justice, flawed though it may have been, was eventually served as the more obvious cretins and no-hopers were culled by the respective prosecution and defence lawyers.

If selection for jury duty is ever even considered to be based on racial, religious or ethnic grounds as is being spruiked by abo activists after the Rolfe trial then your guilt or innocence will be decided by which offender/victim gang you belong to.

If it ain’t broke, don’t tamper with it.

Now this really really really fucking shits me:

Tributes flow for Coogee car fire victims Abiyah and Aiden Selvan

What has happened here? 99% certainty that it’s a murder-suicide perpetrated by the mother. (Note how the headline only names two victims – the two children – when three people perished. That’s a bit of a give-away.) If so, this woman – this freaking evil, demonic woman – set her car on fire with her and her two young children inside. Look at how the media is covering it, however, and contrast when a man does the same kind of evil shit to him and his kids – they sure don’t hold back then. But look at this! Hell, the murderous witch even gets a nice shout-out in the article:

Mother remembered as ‘compassionate’

Selvamma Doreswamy, or Selvi as she was known, worked as a nurse at Fiona Stanley Hospital.

“She was a lovely lady who cared for her children,” Pastor Thavamani said.

In a tribute, he wrote: “Anytime they were hurt, you always nursed their wounds with compassion.

“You would defend your children at all times. You loved your husband and you were the crown of his life.”

Sancho, I made it into the courtroom five times over a week of jury duty and got challenged every time by the defence lawyer.

Feeling seriously offended at being rejected for no apparent reason and later chatting with a court bailiff he told me me I probably got turfed by the defence because I was wearing a suit and tie, was clean shaven and had a fresh haircut therefore I was perceived by the accused’s lawyer to be a “conservative” and therefore likely to vote “guilty” on his client.

He was possibly correct in his assessment.

Pedro, they have a set of ‘rules of thumb’ for jury selection.
Perversely, one of the defence ‘rules’ is to pick the prim looking buttoned up ladies for a rape trial.
They are (supposedly) more likely to buy into the “little tart was asking for it” narrative.
I would wear rejection by defence lawyers as a badge of honour.
I got online on the Justice website last year and made a slight tweak to “Occupation” which I was told is more likely to draw a rejection.

Just watched movie Man of the Year (2007) on Stan. Not seen it before.

Robin Williams plays a comedian TV host who runs for President but knows he has no chance. Luckily for him a computer company gets the gig for nationwide computer voting system. Laura Linney discovers a glitch but the computer company boss does not want to know as too close to election.

Due to the glitch he gets elected. Jeff Goldblum is the legal guy for the computer company and his reasoning for letting the election stand is classic. It would be bad for democracy if people can’t have faith in the system that elected the wrong person. Much like many people’s attitude to 2020.

Plenty of good lines. Last one was “politicians are like diapers and should be changed often and for the same reason”.

Christopher Walken is Williams manager. Tina Fey and Amy Pohler play themselves on Saturday Night Live.

I’ve posted this before -that’s why counsel for the defence doesn’t like ex – servicemen on the jury – they believe the accused must be guilty, or he wouldn’t have been arrested in the first place.

FWIW, a mate was called up to do jury duty in New South Wales. The defendant was a single mum, charged with welfare fraud. Just after the start of the trial, one of the jurors informed the jury room at large “I don’t care what you guys say. She’s a single mum, I’m a single mum, I feel sorry for her, and, as far as I’m concerned, there’s no way I’m finding her guilty.”

A strike on Moscow’s forces in Kherson destroyed helicopters as the Russian bombing continued and Zelensky asked Congress for more weapons

KYIV, Ukraine—Ukraine said its military had launched a counteroffensive in its capital, Kyiv, and other key cities, as President Volodymyr Zelensky urged the U.S. Congress to provide more weapons and increase economic pressure on Russia.

The thump of distant shelling echoed through the center of Kyiv overnight, while Ukrainian forces appeared to counterattack in the outlying towns of Irpin, Bucha and Hostomel, which have been severely damaged in weeks of street fighting and artillery exchanges. The city and the surrounding region were under an all-day curfew Wednesday.

Ukrainian forces also said they pressed an offensive south and east of the southern port of Mykolaiv, moving in the direction of Kherson, the only Ukrainian regional capital occupied by Russia since the war began Feb. 24. Ukraine said it carried out an airstrike on the Kherson airport, which is now a Russian air base, and satellite imagery of the tarmac showed seven destroyed or damaged Russian helicopters, some of them engulfed in flames. Kyiv also said it shot down two Russian Su-30SM jets over the Black Sea off Odessa.

I once had a lot of faith in the jury system and trusted the various Australian police forces.

Cardinal Pell’s saga, the NT police witch hunt of Rolfe, the Lindt cafe debacle and VicPol’s slapping the cuffs on a tiny little pyjama clad pregnant girl have destroyed that trust.

I know there are many good and honest coppers out there (I know a couple) but they are rapidly becoming the minority.

Trust is hard to gain and easily lost.

In my very first job, the boss was arrested & charged with a serious crime, that involved a significant jail term.
Stealing & slaughtering a beast belonging to someone else.

Not only did he not do it, it never happened. (A Pell-style setup)

It was supposed to have happened in front of all of us, while walking a mob of cattle.
We knew it had not happened.
The prosecution actually called all the ringers as witnesses, for the prosecution.

It was a fiasco from start to finish. Prosecution witnesses (mostly police) gave totally different sworn (under oath) testimony from one hearing to the next.

The jury were winking at the public gallery, making funny faces to us & drawing cartoons of the court officials & barristers.
The Crown Prosecutor was hopelessly unprepared – mainly coz he knew nothing about cattle & had not been given even the faintest heads-up that the case was a pitiful fake.

There were actually crime scene photographs (meaning the police fitup was intentional) these photographs were of a location in the bush which was obviously not the location where the actual crime scene was purported to be.

After the inevitable acquittal & lambasting of cops by Hizzonna, Internal Affairs (or whatever they’re called) should have been waiting outside to take into custody every police officer involved in the case – the lying & faking was that blatant and that obvious.

Instead nothing happened, every cop involved retired as a respected Sergeant or Inspector.
They deserved jail time. These arseholes tried to ruin a man’s life – without even knowing him personally.

Yuendumu trial: I couldn’t have saved Kumanjayi Walker, says remote nurse
exclusive
Amos Aikman
Northern Correspondent
@amosaikman
6:26PM March 17, 2022

A nurse who left Yuendumu shortly before Kumanjayi Walker was shot believes she could not have saved the Aboriginal teenager’s life even with the best available medical support, contradicting evidence presented at Zachary Rolfe’s murder trial.

The experienced remote-area nurse, who spent several months in Yuendumu, also claimed non-Aboriginal staff working at a local not-for-profit brought “scary” Walker into her clinic under a false name while he was on the run.

Constable Rolfe shot Walker three times after the latter stabbed him with scissors.

Yuendumu clinic staff had left the community earlier that day, in November 2019, after enduring a series of break-in attempts to their vehicles and living quarters.

Some accounts have characterised the nurses as “fleeing”. A few community members have blamed the nurses for Walker’s death. Cassandra Holland said she did not want to leave Yuendumu but was “ordered” out by Health Department bosses.

Ms Holland was moved to speak after her police statement was leaked to the media, and a prosecution witness in Constable Rolfe’s trial suggested the Yuendumu nurses could have saved Walker’s life had they been in town.

“It’s impossible,” she said.

“Even in the best situation, if I had a full team with me – even if I had the Royal Flying Doctors already in Yuendumu – I still don’t think he would have survived.”

Ms Holland is specially trained in trauma first aid, including some of the advanced procedures Walker would have required to have the best chance of survival.

Nevertheless, she believes getting him to a hospital would still have taken too long.

“People who get life-threatening injuries in remote (areas) often don’t survive,” she said.

Walker had escaped from an alcohol-rehabilitation facility in Alice Springs and was wanted for breaching a court order. He had returned to Yuendumu to attend a relative’s funeral.

Ms Holland described him as a “scary man” and said she believed he was the ringleader behind attempts to break into the nurses’ quarters using picks and shovels.

“He came into the clinic under a brother’s or a cousin’s name. He was wired like you wouldn’t believe,” she said.

“He had broken into the Warlpiri Youth Development Aboriginal Corporation, I think. He was injured, and he was hungry … he was on the run.”

Ms Holland said she asked a colleague to join her so she would not be alone with Walker. Then she went to the clinic kitchen and found him some food.

WYDAC is understood to be in the process of appointing a new CEO. Emails to a media contact address bounced. Messages to other addresses did not receive a reply.

Ms Holland retrained explicitly to work with Indigenous people and delivered care in far north Queensland before moving across to the Northern Territory, including the Barkly region, and finally to Yuendumu – her hardest posting.

She described an incident in which a 14-year-old girl had suffered chest burns from a firecracker during a family dispute and how she had to treat the girl with dozens of angry people outside the room clamouring to get inside.

After leaving Yuendumu, she says she was disciplined by Health Department managers for posting to a Facebook group, warning other nurses to avoid going to Yuendumu.

“I feel safer working in a maximum-security jail,” she said.

Yes indeed, rosie, and there is a story doing the rounds about a young Aboriginal guy who suicided by climbing up a power pole and electrocuting himself along the same lines. His biological parents were out of there from the beginning, he was bounced around various extended family members, he was released into the ‘care’ of extended family after a stint in a mental health facility and then fell through the cracks and killed himself.

Of course, this is Whitey’s fault.

Not his deadbeat parents, or their immediate family, who according to the sacred lore we keep hearing about should have looked after him. And, nobody else could look after him because that would be Stolen Generations Mark II.

Well……all of us know Labor is a party full of grubby hypocrites.

Ex-MP Emma Husar slams Labor Party and leader Anthony Albanese

Ex-Labor MP Emma Husar has slammed her former party, saying it is ‘toxic and manipulative’ — and its leader Anthony Albanese is behaving like a ‘gaslighting narcissist’.

Former Labor MP Emma Husar says women are “treated with disdain” in a “boys club culture of cover up” and has accused her former ALP colleagues of adopting a “do nothing approach” to the political problem of sexual harassment in parliament.

Former Labor MP Emma Husar has accused Anthony Albanese of behaving like a “gaslighting narcissist” in the wake of the death of Senator Kimberley Kitching — and revealed the stress of being bullied by ALP powerbrokers during her time in parliament caused her to develop a heart condition that required the care of a cardiologist.

Ms Husar, who once represented the Western Sydney seat of Lindsay but left parliament in 2019 after Labor mounted an investigation into ultimately unproven charges of sexual harassment against her, said she herself had been the victim of the ALP’s “incredibly toxic” culture of misogynist bullying.

Ms Husar also said it was “disgraceful” that the ALP was not investigating the circumstances of Ms Kitching’s death from an apparent heart attack, potentially brought on by the stress of her treatment by the party.

Since Ms Kitching’s death, numerous reports have emerged that the Victorian senator had been “iced out” of power and had her preselection put under threat because of factional disputes.

Reports have also emerged that Ms Kitching said she was ostracised by a group of prominent fellow female Labor senators she called “the mean girls”, and that one of them told her “if you had children, you might understand why there is a climate emergency” during a discussion of school climate strikes.

It has also emerged that Ms Kitching had complained to a workplace trainer employed by parliament about being bullied by colleagues.

Despite this, the ALP has ruled out an investigation into reports that Ms Kitching had been bullied or ostracised.

Earlier this week, Mr Albanese also lashed out at a reporter who asked about Ms Kitching’s experience, calling the use of the term “mean girls” “disrespectful”.

“I find it astonishing that in 2022, I get a question using the term ‘mean girls’. I find that extraordinarily disrespectful to describe strong, articulate, principled women like Penny Wong, Katy Gallagher and Kristina Keneally,” Mr Albanese told the Today show’s Alison Langdon, referring to three of the senators Ms Kitching had complained about.

But Ms Husar said Mr Albanese’s faux outrage over the term was merely “gaslighting’’.

“A woman lost her life and there were circumstances that point to the Labor Party, but what Albo is doing here (by turning the phrase around) is absolute gaslighting,” Ms Husar said.

“This is the phrase Kimberley Kitching used to describe her (alleged) bullies. If this was on a different sort of work site where would the ALP, which says it is the party of workers, be then?”

“I developed a leaky mitral valve condition in my heart and had to see a cardiologist.

“We both had a right to be safe in our workplaces and we were not. It’s disgraceful.”

Ms Husar, who also launched, and ultimately settled, a defamation case against Buzzfeed over an article she said portrayed her as a “slut” and dishonest, said she had been horribly treated by Mr Albanese during her time in parliament.

“Albo was perfectly happy to pump up my tyres to get at (then leader) Bill Shorten”, she said. “But he never called to check on me.”

The Opposition Leader, she claimed, told her in a meeting that she deserved “nothing short of an apology”, but he later would not comment on the discussion except to describe it as a “private conversation.

Ms Husar, who was ultimately cleared of allegations of sexual harassment, was also deeply critical of the way the Labor Party held itself out as the champion of women while treating female parliamentarians so poorly.

“Labor gets away with this because the left-leaning sections of the media believe in progressive politics and think that just because it’s the ALP and they have more women in parliament they are better. But it is only because the poor treatment of women in the Coalition is so much more overt that we don’t see the coercive control that goes on in the ALP,” she said.

“Labor is far more toxic and far more manipulative than the Liberal Party.

“We need a progressive government and to move on from bungling Covid and ‘I don’t hold a hose’, but Labor isn’t credible at all because they deny they have any trouble on their side.”

Mr Albanese repeatedly denied there is a toxic culture for women within Labor.

“I’m very proud of the fact that I lead a team that has 50 per cent female and male contribution in my shadow cabinet.

“I’m proud of all of the people in the leadership team of the Labor Party,” he said earlier this week.

“We have an extraordinary group of talented women. They are all making a contribution.””

Yet it forced the Liberal Party to do similar, with the result that there is a gaggle of hopeless female ministers that can’t be sacked, for purely political reasons.
Wong is the Beacon for all of them, she should be booted, but PeanutHead and Albanese don’t have the guts to do it.

Steam trains are racist.

‘Rooted In Colonialism and Racism’ – National Museum ‘Cancels’ Steam Trains (17 Mar)

In the latest effort from British institutions to cancel British history, National Museum Wales (NMW) has declared that the use of steam trains is “rooted in colonialism and racism”.

National Museum Wales (Amgueddfa Cymru) owns a to-scale replica of Richard Trevithick’s steam-powered locomotive, which debuted in 1804 when it replaced a team of horses. It pulled a train nearly ten miles along the tramway of the Penydarren Ironworks — a groundbreaking achievment widely perceived to be “ahead of its time”.

However, the Welsh government-sponsored NMW has now pledged to “explore how the slave trade linked and fed into the development of the steam and railway infrastructure in Wales” as they conduct a woke audit their collection — which could lead to the placement of a disclaimer next to their engine replica dubiously connecting it to the slave trade.

Trucks are probably racist too, but it’s too early in the morning for me to think of a reason why.

“They’re Coming For Me”

The MSM have now moved onto Brand, they’re going to “Rogan” him. If you dare question anything to do with the mainstream narrative, be it on Covid science, lockdowns, globul warming, Wussia, Trump etc….then you’ll be smeared as far-right, waaaacist, white supremacist, conspiracy monger, Nazi and you will be silenced.

Just remember, when one of the first to be disappeared from mainstream social media platforms, on the back of a ferocious activist and MSM campaign to silence and disappear him, Alex Jones, most laughed or just shrugged their shoulders. Nobody is laughing now. You will toe the line or else. Whilst there aren’t physical gulags in the West (yet), there are internet gulags, where you’ll be locked out of any mainstream social media platform, the MSM will routinely lie about you, you’ll be disgraced and forever termed a “far-right conspiracy monger”….all to silence you. And coming soon….you’ll be denied access to banking services and so on. Oh wait, that’s already happened in Canada.

You see, please forgive my rather tepid attitude to the West’s response to Putin’s invasion. We scream hollow words about freedom yet we’re living in a time where we’re experiencing the greatest assault on our freedoms in modern history. I condemn Putin’s invasion but don’t anyone dare pontificate to me about how we in the West are superior because of our freedoms.

New York Times finally admits Hunter Biden laptop was authentic
Rival rips the outlet for leading push to squash Biden emails as ‘Russian disinfo,’ then later saying in passing that they were real
Mar 17, 2022 20:15

The New York Times is facing criticism from its oldest rival after quietly reversing its stance on the authenticity of emails found on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, mentioning only in passing that the messages were real and not the product of a Russian disinformation campaign.

“Forgive the profanity, but you have got to be sh*tting us,” the New York Post said in an editorial published on Thursday. “First, the New York Times decides more than a year later that Hunter Biden’s business woes are worthy of a story. Then, deep in the piece, in passing, it notes that Hunter’s laptop is legitimate.”

The editorial came in response to an article on Wednesday in which the Times reported about a criminal investigation into the tax filings of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter. The newspaper said that emails between Hunter Biden and business associates about Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma and other overseas dealings had been “authenticated” by “people familiar” with the messages and the tax probe.

*READ MORE: Hunter Biden’s partner gets prison sentence

The Times also noted that investigators recovered the emails from “a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop.” The article made no attempt to reconcile the admissions with past claims by the Times that the Post’s bombshell reporting on the laptop trove was “unsubstantiated” and that the Biden emails may have come from a hack of Burisma’s data.

After the Post broke the laptop story in October 2020, exposing alleged influence-peddling by the Biden family just weeks before the US presidential election, the Times helped spearhead efforts by legacy media outlets to dismiss the scoop. Many of those outlets cited a letter by more than 50 former US intelligence officials claiming that the purported scandal was the product of Russian disinformation. Discussion of the issue was censored on social media. The Post was temporarily banned on Twitter.

“Now we’re 16 months away from the 2020 election, Joe Biden’s safely in the White House, and the Times finally decides to report on the news rather than carry the Biden campaign’s water,” the Post said. “And they find that hey, Hunter Biden’s business interests benefited from Joe Biden’s political status to a suspicious degree. Perhaps this is a topic worthy of examination.”

The Post added that “there’s never any shame with these 180s.” It mocked the Times for “willful ignorance” of the laptop’s authenticity and casting doubt on a meeting between then-Vice President Joe Biden and a Burisma official – only to admit the reporting was true more than a year later.

*READ MORE: Politico, which joined MSM chorus dismissing Hunter Biden laptop scoop as ‘Russian disinfo,’ confirms authenticity of key emails

The Times wasn’t alone in quietly acknowledging the veracity of reports that were previously branded propaganda. A reporter at Politico, one of the many outlets that called the Post’s laptop scoop “Russian disinfo,” wrote last September that he had verified the authenticity of several of the key emails in question.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki branded the laptop emails as Russian disinformation both before and after the election, including at least as recently as last September.

Then candidate-Biden used the letter by former intelligence officials to bat down questions about the laptop, saying that the ex-spy chiefs had found the story to be a “Russian plant.”

Some of the emails that are now acknowledged by the Times as authentic were between Hunter Biden and a former business partner, Devon Archer, who was sentenced late last month to more than a year in prison on a federal fraud conviction.

you have to wonder if it was him they cared about or the centrelink benefits

It’s an industry within an industry. Whoever gets the kid/s because Mum and Dad are pisswrecks or in jail gets the cash. Naturally, they don’t do the feeding and clothing stuff Centrelink (ie, you and I) are paying for, let alone any sort of actual parenting.

They are then ‘bounced around’ (to use the term in the papers, apropos of the electrical high-diver whose death is now before the NT Coroner) various other services, over-diagnosed by medical people who need those KPIs to retain their highly-paid sinecures and end up like Arnold (his actual name) Walker.

If they manage to survive a bit longer, they end up like the fellow south of Katherine, who escaped from an involuntary alcohol rehab joint and headed straight for where the nearest women were. On this occasion the woman, who happened to be breastfeeding at the time, made enough noise that her bloke turned up with a rifle.

Sadly, that bloke will go a row of shithouses because although he’s a good shot, he tagged the escapee from quite a bit of distance, and as that escapee was running away.

Senator Kitching complained twice about bullying in the second half of last year, first to Deputy Labor leader Richard Marles and then to external consultants brought in to address workplace safety.

The Australian can reveal that the night before lodging a bullying complaint with a PWC consultant, Senator Kitching sent a text message to a good friend to say Senator Wong never wanted to see her again.

Russia promises more disclosures on Ukraine biolabs

Human samples from a Kharkov lab were evacuated to the UK and other European countries, the military claims
Mar 17, 2022 09:27

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday it will soon release additional documents pertaining to the operation of Pentagon-funded biolabs in Ukraine. Moscow believes they have been involved in bioweapons research.

Russian military specialists in weapons of mass destruction are analyzing documents obtained from staff members of the Ukrainian labs, ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a daily briefing. He claimed they detailed “implementation by the US in Ukraine of a secret project to study the ways humans can be infected from bats,” which was done in Kharkov.

The official said the same Institute of Experimental and Clinical Veterinary Medicine in the Ukrainian city worked for years to study under which conditions wild birds carrying flu could cause an epidemic in humans and to assess the damage that would result.

Konashenkov didn’t explain why such research should be considered military in nature, as assessed by the defense ministry.

The spokesman further said more Ukrainian documents will soon be released on the transfer of human samples from Ukraine to the UK and other European nations. The materials will be accompanied by Russian military assessments of the work they detail, he said.

The Pentagon sponsors dozens of labs around the world under the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). The work they do, the US government claims, is benign and is meant to monitor emergence of new dangerous infections. Countries like Russia and China believe they may be more sinister in nature.

* Read more Tulsi Gabbard responds to ‘Russian asset’ accusations

US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland said under oath that labs in Ukraine have been destroying research materials to prevent Russia from seizing them. It was not clear why Washington saw the scenario as dangerous. US officials claimed that the pathogens in question were remnants of Soviet bioweapons programs, which Moscow would presumably already have access to.

Some American public figures, such as Fox News host Tucker Carlson and former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, were attacked for asking questions about the Ukrainian labs, which supposedly amounts to repeating “Russian propaganda.”

Utah Senator Mitt Romney accused Gabbard of spreading “treasonous lies” with her concerns about the safety of pathogen samples in Ukraine. The hosts of The View television show suggested people asking such questions should be arrested and investigated as possible Russian agents.

You see, please forgive my rather tepid attitude to the West’s response to Putin’s invasion.

Yep. Despite what Ramirez (thank you Tom) would have people believe, Zelensky is not Churchill.

Churchill was not put in at the head of a government fully backed and supported by a superpower very keen to keep and expand its natural resource options, and which placed its favourite sons (literally) in extremely lucrative commercial positions they had no expertise in*.

That government did not displace a democratically-elected government which favoured civil relations with its extremely large neighbour, which was ambivalent on the matter of disputed border regions with that neighbour, and which were full of people who spoke that neighbour’s language.

Churchill did not have previous stand-up comedy experience. Churchill did not spend years shelling those border regions, nor did he become enormously personally wealthy squeezing concessions out of every country (or group of countries around him) because of geographical and geological coincidences.

The only similarity is that Zelensky may get a state funeral, and it will be interesting to see who turns up. He is not Churchill or anything like it. There’s a bit of absolutism going on where any criticism of one team apparently means you are 100% on board with the other. This is a bit more complex.

*I will assert that Ukraine today looks and sounds more and more like Poland post WWII, but in reverse. Stalin was quite vocal on that subject, as he saw Poland as a buffer zone between the Soviets and Western Europe. He said at Yalta he wanted a ‘mighty, free and independent Poland’. What he meant was quite different.

Our freedoms and rights are an illusion, mere words fascist politicians sprinkle stirring speeches about democracy while they stomp the state boot onto our faces.

The saddest thing about that factual statement isn’t the countless ‘canaries in the coalmines’ people ignored for decades but that so many still actively mock their deaths and demand the world ignore the proven causes.

For example, our ‘Justice’ System; that many people experience a just outcome at the end of their dealings with it’s process is bad, not good, when those examples are held up to “disprove” that others experience nothing but corruption from go to woe when they seek just redress for evils The Corrupt have done.

That we have so many “proper channels” through which to seek redress for injustices is another evil joke as, for the most part, those channels exist to wear out & drown those who’ve had the misfortune of being victims of the very connected & very protected.

This is the 4th Thylacine sighting in Victoria this year we have had reported to us. The witness is a wild life photographer and is well versed in photographing Australian wildlife including foxes and dingo’s in Australia’s high country in Victoria.
On top of that, years earlier, her and 2 work colleagues at a winery saw a black Panther on the edge of the bush at the winery after work one day.
This lady is no fool and describes an extremely unusual animal right alongside her vehicle in the middle of the road only 2 weeks ago. You can tell from the sincerity in her voice this experience has had a profound effect on her and it is something she will never forget…

Lotus Eaters has an excellent expose of the emasculation of the Russian military by the ‘security services’ and the State managed mafia.
According to Lotus, the security services are terrified of the military and consequently remove any officer displaying a degree of competence. Security Service officers are placed in senior military positions.
The line soldiers hate the military and cannot be trusted, hence they are not being committed to murderously dangerous street fighting.
The only effective arm is the massive artillery Corps which is fine for flattening Syrian villages but not so useful bombarding Ukrainian cities with the world watching.
We are witnessing a rerun of 1936.

If Reignite Democracy chooses to unite with Andrews in targeting Catholics and by extension Christians my hope is the ‘party’ soon withers and dies.

Bilingual book to bring language joy to Boulder students

Kalgoorlie-Boulder students were visited by Australia Post on Wednesday for a special reading of a book written in Indigenous language to celebrate the United Nations’ Decade of Indigenous Languages.

Moli det bigibigi — Molly the Pig — is a bilingual story written in Kriol and English, authored by Binjari woman Karen Manbulloo.

The book was read in both languages to students at St Joseph’s Primary School by local Australia Post team member Rachel Di Cicco as part of the United Nations’ Decade of Indigenous Languages and Australia Post’s support of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

Ms Di Cicco said reading Moli det bigibigi to the students was an opportunity to showcase Indigenous literacy in local schools.

“It is always a pleasure to visit a school and enjoy reading with young children. This visit is particularly special in helping to raise awareness of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.”

The visit also delivered teaching resources relating to the book and its message.

Australia Post head of community Nicky Tracey said the book, published by the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, would be shared directly with communities countrywide and help to introduce children and adults to the joy of language.

“Our partnership with the Indigenous Literacy Foundation helps to ensure children across Australia have access to quality books, and more than 40 per cent of these feature Indigenous authors or illustrators,” she said.

Australia Post National Indigenous manager Barbara Sheehy said she was proud of the way the organisation’s community activities connect more Australians with First Nations culture.
