Just further to my comment re excess deaths:

To date Israel’s vaxx rate is 65.7% and Canada’s is 82.8%.

Israel’s rate is lower but more “excess deaths”, while Canada’s is higher.

Seems to me that the lockdowns and the medical/social fallout is the culprit here.

I’d love some of our resident number crunchers to have a go at this. I find figures other that P&L and trig start to swirl around in my brain. 😀

Good to see that Football Oz won’t be needing the “begging bowl” outside Gina’s door any time soon! We’re sending a team of 25 players to Qatar when the FIFA minimum is 21 so 4 blokes, not needed, get the 2 week’s holiday whilst we make up the 3 games only-there-for-the-numbers groups section …..

One of the best things after these mid-terms wrap up will be muting a range of accounts on twitter for six months or so.
Just like I mute a lot of league accounts in the off-season, it’s good to have a break from the content providers until it’s time to tune in again.

calli you are most likely right about Shorten as the brothers wouldn’t have put up with Labor shutting the country down. They didn’t care when the SFL did it coz of political suicide. It is still a choice of drowning or suffocation. We are so poorly served by politicians but this is our own fault.

This is undoubtedly timed to ‘drop’ ahead of the election in Victoria. However, it would appear that another of the Andrews Debacles is raising its ugly red head again (the Hun):

Daniel Andrews faces the prospect of becoming embroiled in a fifth anti-corruption inquiry with a fresh probe being considered into the government’s red shirts election rort of 2014.

Normally this would be a ‘totes whatevs’ moment. But it would appear that someone, at least, has had a gutful and is pumping the whistle hard:

In an explosive 29-page statement lodged with IBAC in June, the whistleblower claimed police were actively blocked from doing their jobs to help Mr Andrews win the 2018 election.

Among the fresh lines of inquiry is any involvement by police command.

Other matters of interest are understood to include the decision to appoint a senior police officer to liaise with Labor MPs suspected of impropriety.

Now that, even for this government, is unheard of.

The police whistleblower, a veteran of 33 years, said they were directly involved in the 2018 investigation, arrest of suspects and interviews.

In a formal statement of complaint he told the IBAC police were ordered to ignore normal police procedures while investigating the rort. He has suggested the IBAC examine Victoria Police work diaries, emails, investigation logs and operation orders he believes would point to key decisions.

“There needs to be an investigation into how the red shirts investigation was conducted by Victoria Police command,” they wrote.

“The actions of the suspect Labor MPs in the red shirts rort have never been properly investigated due to the interference and obstruction of the fraud and extortion squad investigators by senior police in police command.

“I believe that the interference and obstruction of the police investigation was likely done for political reasons and for personal reward, such as promotions.”

Promotions. Shane Patten, prior to his further elevation to Cheefa Po-Po signed off on the ‘nothing to see here’ final red shirts report.

His card would be stamped ‘reliable’, unlike that of the 33-year detective at the end of his career, and therefore without the carrot dangling in front of him.

If the Libs aren’t screaming the house down about this and the king-size buffet of things to sink Andrews with, they’re kidding themselves.

After retiring, a former Gunnery Sergeant in the Marine Corps took a new job a s a high school teacher. Just before the school year started, he injured his back.

He was required to wear a light plaster cast around the upper part of his body. Fortunately, the cast fit under his shirt and wasn’t noticeable when he wore his suit coat.

On the first day of class, he found himself assigned to the toughest students in the school. The smart-aleck punks, having already heard the new teacher was a former Marine, were leery of him and he knew they would be testing his discipline in the classroom.

Walking confidently into the rowdy classroom, the new teacher opened the window wide and sat down at his desk.

When a strong breeze made his tie flap, he picked up a stapler and stapled the tie to his chest.

Dead silence. The rest of the year went smoothly.

Energy profit tax firms to deliver power bill relief. The head of Treasury has backed direct intervention to push down coal and gas prices and redistribute the super profits earned by energy companies to poorer households.

Right out of the socialist playbook: price controls and increased taxation to ‘fix’ a sector already hurting from prior government meddling (no, its not Putin’s fault).

France Sliding toward Barbarity and Chaos
by Guy Millière

November 8, 2022 at 5:00 am

. Approximately 48% of all crimes committed in Paris in 2021, he notes, were committed by illegal immigrants. Murders almost as gruesome as Lola’s — most of which are committed by illegal immigrants — are committed nearly every day. No one even mentions them. The victims often have their throats slit.

. Maurice Berger, a psychiatrist, speaks of “gratuitous violence”: violence for no other reason than the pleasure of committing it. He reports that in France, gratuitous violence resulting in injury or death happens, on average, every two minutes. France reports more than two hundred rapes a day.

. In L’archipel français (“The French Archipelago”)… sociologist Jérome Fourquet writes of a French “collective nervous breakdown” and the “crumbling” of French society. He notes that the religious and historical moorings of the French people are disappearing: churches are empty, important moments in the country’s history are no longer taught in schools… France’s Muslim population, on the other hand, maintains its culture, customs and traditions, assimilates into French society less and less, and appears more and more filled with contempt and hatred for France…

. Speaking about a “great replacement” of the population in France is taboo. Anyone who does it is immediately demonized and described as a follower of conspiracy theories. But the numbers are clear… In addition to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants already in France, approximately 400,000 more immigrants from Africa and the Arab world enter France each year. At the same time, hundreds of thousands of French people emigrate from France annually. In 2018, the most recent year for which figures are available, 270,000 French people left. Over the past 20 years, the number of French people living abroad has increased by 52%.

. Illegal immigrants in France are the perpetrators of nearly half of crimes committed in the country, according to the recently published L’ordre nécessaire (“The Necessary Order”), by Didier Lallement, former chief of the Paris Police. When the mainstream media report on the murders, they do not talk about slit throats. They say the victim was “stabbed in the neck.”

Essayist Céline Pina writes that the murder of little Lola, the reactions of the murderer after the crime and the government’s attempt to impose silence about the event, mark another step in France’s slide towards collapse, barbarity and chaos:

Dr. Guy Millière, a professor at the University of Paris, is the author of 27 books on France and Europe.

There is evidence that Pfizer and Pfizer’s CEO Albert Bourla have corrupted government leaders worldwide. That this corruption is deep and wide.

The people have been lied to. It was a gigantic lie. And on this lie, everything that governments, especially in the Western democracies did to infringe on people’s rights, to take away their freedom, to lock them in their homes, imposing curfews, all of this was based on that gigantic lie.

Ursula von der Leyen, EU Commission president is now under a lot of pressure, and rightly so. The people have a right to know what went on in these contracts with her exchange of SMS with CEO Pfizer, Bourla. The people need to know who they can hold responsible and accountable for whatever may have gone on behind the scenes. Things are changing now, their house of cards is tumbling down, and it is doing so rightfully.

And you know what? One more thing though, I am sick and tired of being called a COV-idiot. And I’d much rather be a COV-idiot than being a GOV-idiot, because that’s what all these people that blindly trusted their governments turned out to be. And I will say it again, it was never, never, ever about public health, it was never about breaking any waves, it was always about breaking people. But, and that’s the good news, they failed. It didn’t work. And that I am very proud of, and I’m proud of the people that I am so honored to be allowed to represent. And I will continue to do just that. Thank you very much

Shirley the government wouldn’t lie to you.

According to Sirkka Goebeler, the chief specialist of the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), up to 40% of the fatalities attributed to Covid were not actually a result of the disease.

Goebeler, a leading specialist in forensic medicine, and her unit examined all death certificates before they were sent to the state statistics bureau. The total number of deaths attributed to Covid by the THL was over 6400. But the THL and Statistics Finland calculated the deaths differently.

According to Goebeler, out of almost 4000 deaths, Covid is listed as the primary cause. In 1600 cases Covid is listed as a contributing factor. However, in about 900 cases, even though the death was listed as Covid related, the actual death certificate didn’t list any indication of coronavirus infection.

Extract from yet another vax pushing article in todays Courier Mail :

Queensland has lowest booster and child vaccination rates for Covid-19 in the country amid fears of new wave

The Sunshine State has some of the lowest vaccination rates in the country leaving experts concerned about the impact it will have when the next wave hits.
Queensland has the lowest rate of eligible people boosted and children vaccinated against Covid-19 in the whole country as experts warn it will lead to a greater impact when the next wave hits.

Just 65.2 per cent of eligible Queenslanders have received their booster shot as of November 2, which is the lowest rate in Australia, according to recent vaccination data from the Australian Government.

This is compared to 83.5 per cent of those in Western Australia who’ve received their third dose of the vaccine, as well as 80.7 per cent of those in the Australian Capital Territory.

Queensland also has the lowest vaccination rate of those aged five to 15 years out of all the states and territories with just 52.8 per cent of children having one dose and 44.7 per cent having two doses.

Infectious diseases expert Dr Paul Griffin said relaxed messaging on how the state was dealing with the pandemic may have led to “complacency” from Queenslanders in regards to getting the jab.

“Having the lowest rates in the country does leave us susceptible to greater impacts than we should necessarily see when we have that virus in our population, just like we do at the moment,” he said.

Last week to November 2, Queensland recorded 105 people in hospital with Covid-19, including three in the ICU.

Meanwhile, 14 people had died from the virus over the course of the week.

Dr Griffin said he believes Queensland is already seeing a rise in cases in line with NSW and Victoria, however the lack of surveillance and reporting makes it difficult to tell what’s really happening.

“We’ve certainly started to see hospitalisations climb. We’re seeing patients in my practice more than we did a few weeks ago,” he said.

“It’s clear the numbers are increasing. It’s just that we have an under appreciation of that point because of the changes in testing particularly.”

The 99th Regiment of Foot, which was deployed to these parts from Moreton Bay to protect settlers who had come under attack from the local aboriginals armed with spears and rocks, lists the First Maori War (1846), The Second Opium War (Peking 1860) & the Anglo-Zulu War (1879) as battle honours, but not the action hereabouts. The so-called “Black War” in Tasmania 1824-31 was perhaps the most violent & organised confrontation on the Australian frontier, but the 40th Regiment of Foot, a highly decorated regiment which was involved, does not list the engagement among its many battle honours. A plausible conclusion is that these were regarded at the time as “police actions” to maintain order for which a declaration of war was not required.

No free speech for you sir!

Homosexuality is a damage in the mind, says World Cup envoy

By OLIVER MOODY

An official ambassador for the football World Cup in Qatar has described homosexuality as a form of “damage in the mind” during a German television interview, before he was swiftly cut off by a media adviser.

The Arab state, where homosexuality is punishable by up to three years in prison, has struggled to fend off criticism of its record on LGBT rights.

It has signalled that foreigners will be able to display symbols such as the rainbow flag during the tournament, but visiting fans have been warned against publicly violating its sexual mores.

Khalid Salman, a retired Qatari football star who is one of the ambassadors for the World Cup, underscored this tension with his remarks on gay rights.

In an interview with ZDF, a German public broadcaster, Salman, 60, acknowledged that “many things will come into this country” in the course of the tournament. “Let us talk about gay people, for example,” he said. “The most important thing is that everyone accepts they are coming here — and they would have to accept our rules.”

He added that he was worried Qatari children might see gay men and learn “something that is not good”. Asked why homosexuality was banned in his country, Salman said it was haram — an Arabic term meaning forbidden in Islamic law — and “a damage in the mind”.

His comments are likely to add to unease in the build-up to the World Cup, which begins on November 20. Critics including Sepp Blatter, the former FIFA president who oversaw the decision to award the tournament to Qatar, have raised concerns ranging from bribery of senior FIFA officials to the exploitation of migrants in building the stadiums.

Recycling is hilarious.

Supermarket recycling program suspended (Sky, 9 Nov)

REDcycle has suspended its operations to collect soft plastics from around 2,000 supermarkets due to “untenable pressure” of its business model.

Soft plastics have been collected over the past few months and stored and stockpiled in warehouses.

A statement by Woolworths read, “REDcycle has advised that it will no longer be able to collect the soft plastic returned by customers from our stores, effective immediately”.

So they were getting this stuff for free but it’s filled up all their warehouses? I suppose that means it’s actually worth less than zero. Ah well, just think of it as a tithing sacrifice to Gaia.

On the other hand they could burn all that plastic and get good money for the electricity produced. I wonder if they’ve thought of doing that instead?

In the Alice last night:

Police issued a public warning overnight urging people to avoid the Alice Springs CBD due to stolen vehicles driving “extremely dangerously”.

The situation also left officers with no choice but to pull out their resources and regroup after targeted ramming attempts on marked police cars.

It marked the first police evacuation of the town centre in memory, Southern Watch Commander Allan Millner said.

Commander Millner said the vehicle, a white Toyota Prado, was stolen from the ABC Radio building on Gap Road on Tuesday night.

“At 10.40pm there was a report of an intruder on premises,” Commander Millner said.

“Two units attended straight away but the intruder had taken off.

“We know they were youth due to CCTV.

“We believe they entered through an unsecured or unlocked door, but we’re not sure if that was unlocked by the youth.

“An unknown quantity of electrical items was also stolen, we think phones.”

Commander Millner said the Prado then went straight into the CBD.

“It was driving dangerously, and I mean really dangerously – driving on footpaths, showing off in front of mates,” Commander Millner said.

“It also attempted to ram a number of police vehicles which only narrowly missed our members and vehicles.

“We had to pull out all of our resources and regroup back at the station.

“We’ve never done that before.

”Because they were aiming solely at us and there were spectators around, it was an extremely dangerous situation.”

Commander Millner said sometime before 3.30am, two Toyota Hiluxs were also stolen in a commercial break-in on Kennett Court, Ciccone.

Those vehicles then linked up with the Prado in the CBD, resulting in further mayhem.

Police returned to set up road spikes, which were successful in slowing the Prado.

“It takes a while for those tyre deflations to work and they ended up driving the Prado around on its rims,” Commander Millner said.

When the vehicle came to a stop police were able to arrest five youths, all aged between 11 and 15.

The two Hilux utes were abandoned and the alleged offenders involved with those remain outstanding.

Better for “youths” to be not punished harshly, due to “raciiisssm” – much better for some pedestrian minding their own business to be killed.

historically the cash rate has had to go above the rate of inflation to put a stop to it. does anyone (know) the theory behind this?

Leaving aside the point that an increase in the money supply, not an increase in prices, is the real definition of inflation, from first principles (I have NO economic training), the interest rate equates to the rental price of money.

When you lend* someone your money, you are exposed to the risk of loss from several areas; (default, loss of purchasing power when returned etc) as well as the loss of the use of it yourself for the period of the loan. Thus, you need to be paid a certain premium to compensate you for those risks. If inflation takes, say 10% of your purchasing power away during the duration of the loan, you must get more than a 10% return on the loan to make a profit. Ergo, the cash rate MUST be higher than the inflation rate, or it incentivised the borrower to keep borrowing. More borrowing multiplies the money supply, which creates inflation.

* which of course, is not what banks do – they RENT you the money, and y ou have to pay for that – LENDING money is only the correct term when you give it to a mate or your kids.

“If security was adequate, there would be no problem.”

Making a computer system secure is very difficult – unless it’s not in any way connected to the internet.
The biggest problem is that OS’s and servers normally come fully “open” and it’s YOUR job to “screw the lid down” appropriately. This is because most people want it to work “out of the box”.

If you are serious about security, and have to be connected to the internet, then you need several layers to protect yourself – a firewall with selective port forwarding, a DMZ, servers fully screwed down and then opened up barely enough to do what they have to and no more, chrooted server processes (containers are useful too), remote logs, “flood attack” (DoS and DDoS) mitigation etc etc. It’s a LOT of work to get right, and you will face a lot of resistance from (l)users, who always want some sort of exception to make their life easier, or because they absolutely “need” some service or another that they didn’t need yesterday, or “need” some content allowed despite the fact that it compromises the entire companies network security. It’s a never ending battle to be a “white hat” and keep the “black hats” out.

Sydney residents say they’ve become the ‘dumping ground’ for the prime minister after the first group of ISIS brides and their children were rescued from a Syrian refugee camp and resettled in the west of the city.

So join every other citizen of this country – we are being replaced with ‘cheap imported citizens’ – easier to buy I guess. Our current immigration policy specifically prioritises low performance citizens from dysfunctional countries and cultures that hate us. This is no accident, the US and Europe do so also, Hanlon’s razor goes only so far.

.3 You would have to have access to the contents of your own file, and why would you trust the bastards with it?
.4 Why would I give up my data – just to make a group of people who have shown they have no intention of honouring any promise they make – make their job easier?

This morning we had breakfast at another Ante-Bellum mansion turned into a B&B. They have some arrangement with our place to provide brekkie. As we sat in the cutsey courtyard eating our fried eggs easy over which turned out to be scrambled (severe miscommunication with large black waitress not paying attention), a rather odd-looking white man hove into view from inside, wearing a worn out backpack and followed by a rather old dog. He wore cheap red sneakers, brown chinos and a hoodie top and had the appearance of some sort of drifter. He stopped to tell us to keep an eye on his backpack while he got his car. We nodded ok and he soon returned, went inside again to this pricey guesthouse, came out again with an assortment of small boxes and bags, and got chatty.

He was, he said, travelling with his wife and two daughters (of whom there was no sign whatsoever) and added, incidentally, that he had three houses in France. He was a French chef, he told us, and invited us to dinner tonight to sample the cooking of another Michigan starred chef in Vicsberg (our next stop), he’d give us the telephone number in a minute. He had another house in the US. He then rambled on about how he was in Natchez now to buy them a house but mentioned that he’d been in a coma for three months. I will be buying a house here today, he said, and went off again to get his car.

I think, I murmur to Hairy, that he may not be quite what he says he is. A little brain-damaged perhaps? A bit of a worry. I think we should quietly leave.

Yes, says Hairy. Especially as he is carrying heat. Did you notice his gun?

A big colt in a holster on his hip. It caught my eye as he returned, and we were on our way out.

Only in America.

One thing that puzzled me for a time was *how* can a bank make money lending (renting) out their capital as *less* than the inflation rate. The answer is ‘fractional reserve banking’ – they lend out more than they have. In the old days this meant they could lend out 5 or 10x the funds they had on deposit. These days, the ‘reserve ratio; is ZERO! They literally lend out money that doesnt exist – it is ‘borrowed into existence’ (out of thin air) at the time the loan is created.

As announced on March 15, 2020, the Board reduced reserve requirement ratios to zero percent effective March 26, 2020. This action eliminated reserve requirements for all depository institutions.

South Australian Voice to be introduced before national referendum
David Penberthy
SOUTH AUSTRALIA CORRESPONDENT
@penbo
11:10AM November 9, 2022
7 Comments

Indigenous South Australians will have their own election every four years to elect delegates to the State First Nations Voice to advise state parliament on laws affecting Aboriginal people.

The State First Nations Voice will also have a legally-enshrined right to meet with state cabinet twice a year.

The timeline for its introduction is 2024, meaning voters across the country will get a sense of how a Voice to parliament operates before it goes to a national vote at the referendum expected in 2025.

SA Attorney-General Kyam Maher told The Australian the Voice model unveiled in SA on Wednesday was “in no way” a threat to the authority or primacy of parliament.

He also said the proposal had been discussed ahead of its release on several occasions with federal Minister for Indigenous Australians Linda Burney who is watching how South Australia manages the process.

“We do hope that our Voice does a couple of things to help the national debate,” Mr Maher said.

“The first is to show that there is nothing to be afraid of, that it’s not taking power from anyone else, and that the main thing it will achieve is that better legislation and outcomes will come from it.

“The second is that for the first time anywhere in the nation we will have a fully-elected body with the guaranteed ability to talk to the parliament.”

Under the SA model, the State First Nations Voice will have the power only to make presentations to parliament, but not to create, amend or veto bills.

According to the background documents, delegates will be allowed to address the parliament on “particular bills of interest to First Nations people” and make an annual address to parliament.

They will also be allowed to provide reports to the parliament on matters of interest and speak with Ministers and chief executives about the operations, budgets and priorities of their departments in what is known as an “annual engagement hearing”.

A full transcript of those hearings will be made publicly available through a First Nations Voice website.

Strict criteria will be in place for the election of delegates, with candidates having to prove their heritage through a Certificate of Aboriginality or a statutory declaration to that effect.

People with criminal convictions within the past 10 years will be prevented from nominating.

Delegates will not be paid a salary for their work, but are expected to receive a modest fee in line with other government boards and will also be able to recoup expenses from the Voice’s secretariat.

The delegates will be elected in a two-tiered model, with a series of Local First Nations Voices each having two presiding officers, one male and one female, who will then make up the State First Nations Voice.

The bill states that the Local First Nations Voices must meet at least four times and no more than six times per year.

The exact geographic division of the Local First Nations Voices has not yet been determined, but it is expected to be based around existing indigenous boundaries such as Kaurna for the Adelaide Plains and Fleurieu, Ngarrindjeri for the Coorong and Murraylands, Pitjantjatjara for the northern desert country, and so forth.

Watch the interview with Dr Nixon on Club Grubbery. Nearly an hour of footage of various stages of close examination of the vaccine. Weird to say the least.

This is why these vaccines should not be mandated in any form. However for anybody following the news in past few days it is obvious they are going to try to bring in No 5 under the excuse that it will save us over Christmas holidays. Also look towards more emphasise on getting more jabs in kids by time of school return in late January.

Dot, this is the article you seek.

What Nixon found, and filmed, is bizarre to say the least. Inside a droplet of vaccine are strange mechanical structures. They seem motionless at first but when Nixon used time-lapse photography to condense 48 hours of footage into two minutes, it showed what appear to be mechanical arms assembling and disassembling glowing rectangular structures that look like circuitry and micro chips.

There’s more.

Make up your own mind.

  1. Maybe, Cohen. Maybe Biden knows he won’t be able to dodge a debate without looking cowardly and/or incapable, so he’s…

  2. Hippipoisonouses. Like hippopotamuses only uglier and with a nastier bite.
