I don’t trust any side’s hot news on this mess, rosie. You can choose to swallow obvious propaganda, but it is impossible to tell what is true while the war is still red hot from thousands of miles away.If it “is impossible to tell what is true”, how do you know that it is “obvious propaganda”?
No wonder you failed Economics 1, you are incapable of logical thought. Stick to fantasy football, real life is too complex for your tiny mind.

See they make my argument for me … how much more infantile can you get? and these folks are well into three score at least..
I know you once enjoyed teasing them and quite enjoyed yourself .. I tried to understand them .. actually… I began to understand them !! Horrifying … Mate … Red Cones around this one …

Quotes attributable to Minister for Indigenous Australians Linda Burney
“The Australian Government is ensuring First Nations people have a real say in Australia’s energy future and are not locked out of the clean energy transformation.
“First Nations people have strong local and cultural knowledge, including management of Country, and this can and should inform how Australia transforms its energy systems to achieve net zero by 2050.”
Michael Smith News. We are supposed to take this malarkey seriously?

See they make my argument for me
You don’t make any argument at all. You demand debate, but produce ridiculous unicorn-based ephemera.
At least mUnter admits he’s a self-interested coward, sustained by the assets and income of others and with no skin in any game he enters into*.
*Not a compliment.

‘Obvious propaganda’
You mean the footage shot inside gaza and posted to telegram by hamas and gazan civilians of the rape victim (and so many other dead and brutalised Israelis) ?
The video posted by hamas of Noa Marciano alive and then with a close up of her dead body?
Another apologist who will say there is no such thing as hamas, hamas didn’t dig the 500km of tunnels they constantly boasted about and there was no massacre on 7 October. -
@m0nty
These people are just unsafe … They will verbal you and then go onto enjoy winning and argument they just had with themselves…
but what I was more interested in is that people such as these are making a rallying cry … get us to fight for Australia … Hey who’s Australia … certainly not mine since I am so unworthy … according to the upper crust …
Man the Barricades? Nah not me .. this one is on you …

Doing a photo op in her mansion whilst half the country was in telecommunications meltdown because of her company was the let them eat cake moment.
To be fair to Me Optus, that would more correctly read …
Allowing a pre-arranged photo shoot in her mansion to go ahead whilst half the country was in telecommunications meltdown because of her company was presented by the Daily Mail as the let them eat cake moment.
Truth is, she probably forgot the photo shoot was even on when the shit hit the fan.
Her stay at home hubby should have twigged to it though. -
FTB, if they win out in the regular season it’s going to be difficult for the committee to deny them a slot in the playoffs. That being said, there are a heap of inter-conference politics involved and the decision is subjective so who knows?
Regardless, they have had a brilliant undefeated season thus far and will be a major threat to run the table next season.

if you watch the video of the young woman being abducted by motorcycle you can see and hear young teenagers in the vid. You might have to scroll though the photo section of ‘obvious propaganda’.
As the mighty warriors of Islam crouch in those tunnels, bawling, pizzing themselves and begging for mercy, I hope the last images that flash through their minds, before the I.D.F. deal out justice, is an image of some of those young girls.

The reports are everywhere.
So are flies.
All I saw was one table with a collection of AKs smaller than that of the average Texan. As a haul from the supposed epicentre of Hamas, it was laughably small.
According to the IDF, Hamas moved their underground base to somewhere south when they got wind of the attack. Impressive feat of engineering to move an entire underground citadel within a week. Are the Palestinians actually dwarves? Perhaps Israelis should be more concerned about the terrorist threat posed by the Balrog.
Hamas lies. So does the IDF. This happens every time in war. Russia and Ukraine are constantly lying. Both sides in Sudan are lying. No one is lilywhite.

“So are flies.”
So, in the 1930s and 1940s Nazis compared us Jews to rats.
In 2023, the Nazi here compares us Jews to flies.
He’s a such a disgrace, a grotesque Jew hater. He doesn’t even hide his Jew hatred anymore.
I pop my head in here and I see the Jew hater running amok, much like the Jew haters ran amok on October 7 2023, when they slaughtered, decapitated, raped, burnt alive and kidnapped Jews.
Last night I went to synagogue and I heard the first hand reports and testimony of a survivor of Kfar Aza, a kibbutz near Gaza. The man speaking was lucky to survive, he lost friends and family. He went into great detail about what happened that day. I believe his reports.

Target on guns: Separate laws keep sniper rifles on the streets

9 CommentsHigh-powered weapons such as .50 calibre sniper rifles are legal in Australia despite some states banning them on the basis they are too dangerous and arguing there is no legitimate need for them.
The inconsistency between the states is revealed as the push to establish a national firearms register stalls due to a funding dispute between the smaller jurisdictions and Canberra, and the refusal by all states and territories to harmonise their gun laws.
Western Australia recently banned .50 calibre rifles after requests from state police concerned about the safety of officers.
But the lack of a uniform national position on the high-powered guns underscores the failure of almost 30 years of negotiations between the states and territories to agree on firearm laws and classifications.
The sniper or assault-style BMG rifles can shoot accurately for hundreds of metres and were originally designed to target tanks and aircraft in World War I.
The Australian’s Target on Guns investigation this week revealed an effective national firearms register still did not exist, nearly one year after two police officers and a good Samaritan were murdered by domestic terrorists at Wieambilla in southern Queensland last December. |
A real-time national weapons database has been costed at about $200m, and would take four years to be operational from the time it was agreed.
The Wieambilla shootings highlighted the poor communication and confusion that exists between the states when it comes to classification, storage and licensing of firearms.
Both the federal Liberals and Nationals urged the Albanese government to settle the funding dispute and deliver the national firearm register urgently.
Nationals leader David Littleproud said a national register that shared gun ownership information between state police forces would protect officers.
“It’s a simple proposition that should not have to take this long to establish and protect our law enforcement officers,” Mr Littleproud said.
Anybody tell me why civilians need 50 Cal snipers rifles, in the first place?

Thanks, C.L.
We visited Greig’s house in Bergen the other day. Nice little wooden structure, modest and cozy. Such a difference to today’s celebrities. And Greig was a celebrity of tremendous value. CD duly bought from the attached museum shop for later enjoyment.
Sure, I took photos of the house and it’s magnificent Steinway sitting in the living room. But more photos of the frosty fallen beech leaves carpeting the long driveway, and a cluster of red berries, droplets of water pearling on their glossy skins in the bordering hedge. And the thick, emerald overcoat of velvety moss covering the tree trunks, the only green amongst the brown, frost burned fields.
Funny what plants survive the winter and which ones succumb.

My mutt is under the microscope-
she has a lot of the symptoms of a vitamin B12 deficiency. So I’m going to slap a bit of vegemite into her diet, see if that makes a difference.
She’s deliriously happy, active, playful, athletic- but very skinny. And carrying a lot of injuries which she hasn’t healed from like she should have. If she could put some muscle on, she’ll be magnificent. -

I have come to the conclusion that Matthew Amroliwala has the most punchable face in the history of news presentation.
His affectations are legion. Start with the tie-less shirt, shades of Nehru. The “knowledgable” smirk and incapability of allowing an interviewee (who is usually a far more important person in current affairs than he is) to finish a sentence he imagines he doesn’t agree with. Even though he hasn’t had the courtesy to hear it to the end.
Then, the most insufferable…the use of glasses. On…off. Looking over them like a librarian. Disapproval, waving them around. Popping them back on again. Reminds me of glamour shots of European designers and architects of unsittable chairs and unliveable houses. Gosh he loves himself.

THE TRIALS OF PÄIVI RÄSÄNEN
by Sean Nelson
11 . 20 . 23Blessed is the man who perseveres in the trial,” declares the Epistle of James. Finnish Member of Parliament Päivi Räsänen should count herself doubly blessed this week. She has now persevered through two trials over more than four years of legal troubles brought on merely for expressing her Christian faith. Following both trials, she has not only been acquitted, but also has been a shining example of a modern Christian life fearlessly lived.
On Tuesday, a Finnish Court of Appeal unanimously found MP Räsänen not guilty under Finland’s “hate speech” laws. If the decision stands—there is still a possibility of appeal to Finland’s Supreme Court—it will represent a bulwark for Christians and all people of good will wishing to live out their faith and contribute to social conversations over contentious issues.

On Sunday I went to a local synagogue to hear the testimony of one of those “flies” from Kfar Aza, a kibbutz located near the Gazan border.
It was harrowing testimony. The attack began at approximately 6.30 a.m. on Shabbat morning. There were a number of things that stood out when listening to the survivor speak of the harrowing ordeal.
1. The families and individuals in the kibbutzim had long used technology to communicate and all of them were on various “whats app” groups which they used to communicate with each other prior to the invasion. These various whats app groups were a godsend during the attack, and it helped save lives and something even greater, it helped with morale while men, women and children hid in safe rooms.
2. Many of the Nazi Gazan invaders that day knew exactly where to go, what to target and who to target. It is very clear that many of these invaders had been workers allowed into Israel prior to 7 October. I doubt such licence will even be given again to Gazans, and nor should it. You don’t reward Nazis.
3. The army didn’t arrive until late afternoon*, and by the time this survivor was liberated, it was in the early hours of Sunday morning. Many people were stuck in safe rooms for hours, with little food and fluid. People, including children, were forced to defecate in the rooms, but they knew what was outside was worse, far worse, rape, death, mutilation.
4. Listening in the safe room, along with other individuals of the kibbutz, he heard sporadic gunfire for hours. The survivor could tell the difference between the Nazi guns and the IDF guns. This was where the “whats app” technology was a great help. The survivor was able to communicate with family members, all hiding in various safe rooms. The survivor said what was remarkable was how the children behaved, they remained calm, often calmer than the adults.
5. People fail to understand that the invasion on 7 October was not something impromptu, it was extremely well planned and enacted. It was an invasion, not an incursion, not some minor altercation. The IDF, as they moved south trying to get to the areas, were involved in running battles with Nazis, the penetration was massive, some of the Nazis Gazans got as far as a few miles south of Tel Aviv.
As I sat listening to the testimony, I thought to myself the following, growing up, hearing stories about pogroms, and hearing and reading about what happened during World War II, a time when Jews were routinely hunted down, butchered, raped, slaughtered, murdered, gassed, there was no IDF to save any of them. Between 1939 and 1945, when Jews in countries across Western and Eastern Europe hid in attics, cellars or safe rooms, only to be forced out by Nazis to face certain death, there was no IDF to save them. We had no one. We were hunted like rats, then exterminated like, what was that word the pervert apologist used last night, ah yes, we were exterminated like…..flies. But on 7 October 2023 it was different, an army did arrive to help and to liberate Jews, because hear this, if there had been no army that had arrived at Kfar Aza or any other kibbutz or town, EVERY SINGLE JEW would have been slaughtered, there would have been NO survivors.
This survivor’s kibbutz was liberated by an IDF brigade, and one of those soldiers was the Fauda actor Tsahi HaLevi, who is married to an Israeli journalist, Lucy Aharish.
To end on an uplifting note, Tsahi is an Israeli Jew and Lucy is an Israeli Arab. Here are the two singing to each other…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qILxNEVMJo4&t=2s
Lucy sings in Arabic to Tsahi and Tsahi sings in Hebrew to Lucy. It’s quite beautiful.
The survivor who spoke in synagogue on Sunday remains in a state of shock.

Chatter last night about Edvard Grieg.
I remember driving once when Solveig’s Song came on the radio. I did not catch the name at the time unfortunately.
What struck me most was that I could not recall if there was a woman’s voice singing or not. I had been so caught up in it the music that neither voice nor instruments seemed to explain it.
I ended up having to contact the station.
I later went to a theatre performance where the beginning, before the actors came out and the stage was still unlit, a woman sung the song. In the dark and stillness, just that song in that voice.
Amazing.

You have to make some compassionate allowances for Israel and its protagonists. They are somewhat blinded by grief and trauma, understandably so. It has been a tough run for several thousand years.
When they leverage that trauma to justify visiting the same on their foes, however, that is where it starts getting questionable. I would have hoped that humanity had evolved beyond the concept of an eye for an eye.
A reminder: there is never any justification for genocide or ethnic cleansing.

China’s ridiculous denial over dangerous sonar incident
China has called Australia’s complaint over a dangerous incident between two warships “vague and one-sided”.Expect Luigi to be wearing his “vague and one-sided” t-shirt today.
How long before he throws the RAN under a bus? -
I should also add that on Sunday night in synagogue, the rabbi spoke after the survivor’s testimony. Last Friday night this same synagogue had hosted former PM John Howard. On that Friday night, in the shul, John Howard spoke movingly about how ashamed he has been given what’s ensued on our streets since 7 October, and given the tepid response of our governments and politicians.
As the rabbi said on Sunday night, words are great, and whilst we Jews are hearing a lot about the “silent majority”, it’s time for that majority, if it exists”, to find its voice and TO SPEAK UP FOR JEWS, FOR ISRAEL.
-
mUttley Merkin
When they leverage that trauma to justify visiting the same on their foes, however, that is where it starts getting questionable.
Translation: “How DARE those Jooooos respond to the murder, rape, desecration and kidnapping of women, children and old men. They should line up quietly at the gas chambers, and thank their killers for their cruelty”.
Muttley Merkin still avoids reference to the events of 7 October. Pond scum, nothing but pond scum.
-
I would have hoped that humanity had evolved beyond the concept of an eye for an eye.
Oh look. The vile animal that thinks 30 years in prison for J6 protesters is too short now suddenly decides that Hamas rapists should be given a second chance.
You don’t believe in forgiveness, you simply believe that anybody on your side should be able to act out their disgusting crimes with impunity.
-
what happened in southern Israel, on Saturday 7 October, was an attempt at genocide and ethnic cleansing.
Those terrorists deserve to be tried and convicted. It is a criminal matter.
October 7 does not morally justify turning Gaza into rubble. This is not hard to explain or understand. It is quite a simple concept. There is never any justification for genocide or ethnic cleansing.
-
I would have hoped that humanity had evolved
Monty, proportionate vengeance (eye for an eye) is a limit of restorative justice when the contenders are both subject to law. What we have now is active war against an enemy whose crimes have shown no limit. The evolved response is what Israel is doing; the unlimited evil is what you and international leftism are backing.
-
There is never any justification for genocide or ethnic cleansing.
Stop lying.
There is no genocide or ethnic cleansing happening in Gaza.
Unless hamas is now a race.
Israel is supplying gaza with water food fuel and medical supplies.
Even though those fuel supplies are allowing hamas to increase rocket attacks into Israel. -

what happened in southern Israel, on Saturday 7 October, was an attempt at genocide and ethnic cleansing. Those terrorists deserve to be tried and convicted. It is a criminal matter.
Full of fake “concern”, mUttley Merkin offers a “solution” that he knows can never be implemented.
Armed representatives of a hostile power crossed an international border and murdered, raped, desecrated and kidnapped children, women and old men. They committed BOTH an act of war and a series of war crimes. The individuals, if they can be identified and captured, should be tried for their war crimes, but the authority that authorised and committed the act of war is still liable for the response to that act.
-
“a criminal matter”.
Organised by the group/government which runs the “state”.
I wonder what if the english language has a word for a state attacking another state other than “assault”…
A reminder: there is never any justification for genocide or ethnic cleansing.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9R7pfLxaSU -
The IDF are walking around with body cams and are allowing sick children to be sent to Egypt.
In no way is this a “genocide”. Nor is shutting down Nahoul and Farfour. Nor is destroying militia caches and rat lines under essential services.
Israel should in a retaliatory manner, conquer any state or quasi state that threatens its security.
The residents of such a state ought to be compensated and asked to leave or become Israelis.
Start with Gaza. The continuing existence of Palestine is then up to the West Bank Palestinians.
Although I would fear the eventual conquest of all of Palestine, Southern Lebanon and the Golan Heights would be necessary, it would create a dynamic disincentive to anyone threatening Israeli security.
If Israel were to act in such a manner only ever as a retaliatory response, they would have an unquestionable moral and legal justification to do so.
Of course, the Iranian regime ought to be punished too for practical and moral reasons. Iranian military and regime assets ought to be deprecated as matters of marque and reprisal.
Israel could offer a settlement – give us Hebron and we will give you the Negev and give you back Gaza and we put all of Jerusalem under a UN mandate. I have a feeling this “river to the sea” proposal would be rejected out of hand. You only have to see the fanatics on MEMRI TV talk about Israel.
Hence, Israel needs to slowly assert its security above all else, but never being the aggressor. The pragmatists in Arab states will deal with an Israel that asserts itself.
Then again, shit leftists like m0nty will accept whatever narrative their betters script for them – if Wong came out today as an Israeli supremacist, then the Levant would have to be conquered.
It’s really that simple. Free shit and the party line.
-
Those terrorists deserve to be tried and convicted. It is a criminal matter.
And who do you propose conducts these trials?
Please don’t use words like “neutral” or “Brussels” in your answers.
I am OK with in-absentia post-mortem trials when Ham-Arse is sorted.October 7 does not morally justify turning Gaza into rubble.
And what justified October 7?
-
A reminder: there is never any justification for genocide or ethnic cleansing.
Bloody hell you are a disgusting POS.
By equating the IDF no doubt losing many soldiers in trying to minimise civilian casualties, to the psychotic and planned actions of hamas (filmed by themselves for everyone to see) you quite deliberately seek to delegitimise the meaning of the word “genocide”. And by extension a real genocide which occurred from 1939-1945 of the Jewish people in Europe.
Like calling everyone a “Nazi”
Like calling everything “rape”.
The word loses all meaning.
Israel would have the capability to flatten Gaza to dust.
If it’s a “genocide” why is the “Palestinian” population increasing? It’s the same old oppressor/oppressed matrix with you isn’t it?
Jews are successful and live prosperously therefor they must be an oppressor. You’d love the Jews if they were failures, of that I’m sure.
-
October 7 does not morally justify turning Gaza into rubble.
Yes it does Monty. The Knesset formally declared war on Gaza 81 years and 10 months after the US declared war on Japan for a similar sneak attack.
That war ended with most Japanese cities as…what did you call it again?…rubble.
Japan could have ended the war at any time by surrendering unconditionally. Gaza can end the present war at any time by surrendering unconditionally.
If they don’t they’ll get the same treatment meted out to Germany and Japan. Deservedly. Fortunately for Gaza they cannot be nuked since it is too close to Israel to risk doing it.

ABCcess finally noticing the big grey pachyderm taking up most of the room.
Only a decade after most people here.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-11-21/the-uncomfortable-truth-about-immigration-rents-inflation/103128424Our immigration intake, meanwhile, is running at record levels with up to 600,000 arrivals expected this calendar year. If we continued at that rate for four years, there’d be enough people to fill a city the size of Brisbane.
And here’s another little snippet highlighted by the most recent inflation data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics: Rents now are growing at their fastest pace in 14 years and are a key factor driving our inflation.
….
For decades, until COVID hit, we used to boast about being the miracle economy. No recession in 30 years! Technically, it was true. Our GDP climbed each and every year. But it was off the back of one of the biggest immigration programs in the developed world. Adding more people adds to the size of your economy.
…
When the September-quarter GDP figures lob, they’re likely to show that without immigration, the economy would already be in recession. To work a ponzi scheme needs people to not know they are entering the scheme until they are invested in it.

Israel should in a retaliatory manner, conquer any state or quasi state that threatens its security.
I am so old, I remember a few short months ago when you lot were all about Trumpian isolationism. I guess that has gone by the way side. Fire up the Imperial March from Star Wars, let’s invade another country. Sheesh.

Invoking good versus evil tropes is not helpful or constructive. “
Written by the master of tropes, who can forget his tropes about Pell, Porter, Kellie-Jay and others?
You see, here’s the clincher with this lowlife, he doesn’t mind tropes when he uses them, or when others on the left use them, such as ‘rock spider”, a trope he’s never ever retracted about an innocent man.

Israel got invaded. Maybe you don’t understand this. Maybe you don’t understand how chronological time works.
What I said was:
Israel should in a retaliatory manner, conquer any state or quasi state that threatens its security.
Which by definition can never be imperialist. It is anti Imperialist.

I have come to the conclusion that Matthew Amroliwala has the most punchable face in the history of news presentation. Not having been exposed to said gentleman, because no TV, I did an image search.
Which of the below suits him best?
.1 Poseur
.2 Wanker
.3 Wanking poseur
.4 Posing wanker
.5 A wanker who poses
.6 A poseur who wanks…
You may want to add more descriptors – just for the novelty factor. -
Media, lies and videotape
Melanie Phillips – Nov 21, 2023Western journalists will never reset the lethal prism through which they refract the Palestinian war against the Jews
It seems quite obvious now that there is simply no evidence that the Israelis can ever bring forward of the perfidy, lies and barbarism of the Palestinians that the western media will ever allow to reset the lethal prism through which they refract the Palestinian war against the Jews.

Conquering nations for anti-imperialism!!
Listen to yourself, Dot.
No. You listen.
Country A threatens country B for decades, publicly demanding its destruction, to be incorporated into a larger political and religious community A belongs to (as a pariah though).
Country A invades country B for no reason other than spite. A war starts. Country B starts winning and country A refuses to surrender, but begs for peace.
Country B wins and annexes Country A, destroying their government. The Aites are given B citizenship or subsidised to leave if they cannot accept the outcome.
If you think this is Imperialist you’re insane. Redefining words and missing out on important context isn’t clever, it is moronic and deceptive.

Argentina has 150% inflation and socialists have been in power destroying that country for 40 years
And even *they* could handcount all their votes in 1 night and declare a Presidential winner
Meanwhile in America our vote totals in swing states ‘magically’ change at 4 AM after mysterious vote spikes occur without any GOP monitors and then 3 days later a Democrat is announced the “winner”
When we post video footage of mysterious vans dropping off hundreds of thousands of ballots in Detroit, we get banned off social media
When the “winner” is installed, it’s done behind barbed wire with 20,000 armed troops making sure no American citizens can attend
Our elections are a laughingstock and we are no better than socialist countries in South America
In fact, we’re much worse!

Post shows what appears to be an uninjured Israeli child being delivered to shifa hospital.
One hamas apologist immediately points out the vehicle has Israeli number plates so it couldn’t be a kidnapped child.
Because Israelis always take their children to shifa emergency. -
Proof, if any is needed, giving young ladies the vote was the single worst move evah!!
https://www.theguardian.com/books/2023/nov/20/palestine-quran-islam-americans-tiktokThe more Rice read, the more the text’s contents aligned with her own core belief system. She found the Qur’an to be anti-consumerist, anti-oppressive and feminist. Within a month, Rice took the shahada, Islam’s official profession of faith, bought hijabs to wear, and became a Muslim.
So the religion that stipulates nearly every action you take throughout the day and polices womens every move is “feminist”… riiiight.
…
After 9/11, the Qur’an became an instant bestseller, though at the time many Americans purchased it to confirm biases they held about Islam being an inherently violent religion. “The difference is that in this moment, people are not turning to the Qur’an to understand the October 7 attack by Hamas,” Grewal said. “They are turning to the Qur’an to understand the incredible resilience, faith, moral strength and character they see in Muslim Palestinians.”Nothing says “moral strength and character” like chucking kids in ovens!
..
In the Qur’an, men and women are equals in the eyes of God, and Rice and other TikTok converts say their interpretations of the text back up their feminist principles. It also engages with scientific explanations for creation, with verses in the Qur’an covering the big bang and other theories.Warning, steep learning curve ahead.
…
Along the way, Chan-Malik converted to Islam. She’s now an associate professor at Rutgers University whose research focuses on the history of Islam and Islamophobia in the US

Educating women might have been an error as well.
Their wandering uterus’ seem to make them suckers for every fad going. -
It is a criminal matter.
Ah, the ‘just some naughty boys’ deflection.
No. It was an attack by the uniformed personnel of a foreign nation on Israel, also known as an act of war.
Further, that foreign nation continues to hold Israeli citizens hostage, an ongoing act of war that the left never wants to talk about when they are looking for victims to blame on Israel.

Then it is even less Imperialist than you think and the Hamas fighters have no legal protection and can be treated as francs-tireurs.
I don’t particularly give a tinker’s how Hamas fighters are treated. They have no moral backing for their terrorism. Classify them as footy franks for all I care.
Palestinian civilians, on the other hand, they don’t deserve to be ethnically cleansed.
