One thing the NSW police commissioners statement does confirm, though. If business don’t ask patrons for their vax status, there’ll be no enforcement consequences.

This is *a good thing*.

“What Holmes a Court & Packer should have done with their kids is get them a job at Merrill or Goldmans in New York or London.
Working in a dealing room would have broken them out of the bubble of arse kissers they surrounded themselves with.
And no-one would have given a shit they were a billionaires offspring.

With regards to the Leppington dairy farm that sold for 30mill.
Good on the family for holding out.
They had an asset, that when valued on the usage of the asset (a dairy farm) it was valued at $3mill.

But it should never have been valued on the usage of the asset.
It should have been valued for what it was.
A big plot of land near a planned airport that literally had to be bought.
Hence the $30mill plus price tag.

Government should have bought it 20 years ago.
It’s not the vendors fault the government was so retarded.

WZV Theatre.
Nothing will come of it apart from a 10 second Dan mea culpa, and perhaps a few insincere tears.

You won’t even get that, Winston.
And this from the prick who stood up in Parliament touting his brand new “Industrial Manslaughter” legislation, declaring “Bosses will no longer be able to kill their employees with impunity. If an employee dies on your watch, you will go to jail for a very, very long time.”
Never for a minute did he think it could be used against him (and it won’t).
This was for Liberal donors who owned construction companies, for non-unionised transport companies, possibly even for I-Cook Foods.

The Work of the Devil

It’s sad how many people with no conscious Christian upbringing have been driven to reject the evils of this age (that have not only been made commonplace, but elevated to be revered), but when they look for a Church to guide them & strengthen them in the Christian faith calling to them, they so often find those same worldly evils being excused & even taught.

Some companies are setting up China virus jab centres on the job site for employees and contractors. A sub-set are mandating the injections. My question is; if in response to the injection (a) one becomes ill and looses work time, or, (ii) heaven forbid, one dies, is that counted on the company books as (a) a lost time incident, or (b) workplace fatality? The answer would tell us lot about transparency.

Late Night FREAKOUT: Hosts Preach Climate Hysteria and Radical Socialism (23 Sep)

On Wednesday, all of the late-night shows on CBS, ABC, and NBC – along with Comedy Central’s Daily Show and TBS’s Full Frontal – engaged in outrageous climate change fearmongering and demanded viewers support the radical socialist agenda of the Democratic Party to address the supposed crisis. The highly orchestrated “Climate Night” featured far-left scare tactics predicting the end of the world combined with vicious attacks on conservatives, capitalism, and even religion.

Victorian mobile speed cameras.

Went past one today. Unlike the old style where they were mounted on a nudge bar on the front of an SUV (Craptivas were popular) the new ones are a big lens in the rear tinted window of an SUV or van.

As often happens, flashing of others’ headlights and a strange choice of parking location on the part of the camera operator ensured we all went past at an exaggerated 20 km/h under the limit.

The new thing to me was the vehicle in front of me gave a long toot as he passed the camera car.

Is this a thing? It would, if employed frequently, keep the operator from enjoying his phone and make him even less welcome among the neighbours. May have to try it. Braaa-uuuup!

Mission Statement
Investigate & expose corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud, and other misconduct in both public and private institutions in order to achieve a more ethical & transparent society.

Core Values
MORAL COURAGE – Courage is the virtue that sustains all others. We choose to overcome our fears.

WE ARE ALL LEADERS – Turning people into leaders. Completed staff work. Ownership.

COLLABORATION – Best not to work in silos. No one individual is as smart as all of us.

RESILIENCE – Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. Never, ever, ever give up. We don’t let mistakes or setbacks discourage us. Pursue perfection, knowing full well you will never attain it.

MISSION DRIVEN – The best people are motivated by purpose. We are passionate and truly believe in our cause. We must be externally focused, not internally focused.

MAKE THE STATUS QUO DO THE IMPOSSIBLE – We move mountains. Failure is not an option. We do whatever it takes.

THE TIP OF THE SPEAR – We are a loss leader. We do not shy away from conflict or litigation.

Ethical Values
Rule #1 – Truth is paramount. Our reporting is fact based with clear and irrefutable video and audio content. Truth is paramount. We never deceive our audience. We do not distort the facts or the context. We do not “selectively edit.”

Rule #2 – We do not break the law. We maintain one-party consent when recording someone is inherently moral and ethical. We never record when there is zero-party consent. In areas where we are required to have consent from all parties, we seek legal guidance regarding the expectation of privacy’s impact on our right to record.

Rule #3 – We adhere to the 1st Amendment rights of others. During our investigations we do not disrupt the peace. We do not infringe on the 1st Amendment rights of others.

Rule #4 – The Zekman Test. The undercover investigations we pursue are judged by us to be of “vital public interest” and “profound importance.” The Zekman Test is our baseline. Undercover investigative reporting is necessary because, “…there’s no other way to get the story…” Whereas the Society of Professional Journalists allows for undercover techniques, if undercover techniques are necessary to expose issues of vital public importance; we believe they are not only allowed but required.

Rule #5 – We Protect the Innocent When Possible – Embarrassing private details are not to be investigated. We stay away from irrelevant embarrassingly intimate details about private citizens personal lives. We look for individual wrong-doing and judge its public importance. The irrelevant religious or sexual dispositions of our targets are not to be investigated.

Rule #6 – Transparency. Our methods & tactics must be reasonable and defensible. We use the “Twelve Jurors on Our Shoulder” rule. The work has to be done with such a degree of integrity that it can withstand scrutiny in both law & ethics. We are comfortable with transparency. We must be willing to be ready to disclose our methods upon publication.

Rule #7 – Verifying and Corroborate Stories – Evaluate impact on third parties and Newsworthiness of Statements Alone. We consistently consider the probable truth or falsity of statements, examine any reasons to doubt the veracity of underlying assertions and whether the assertions are newsworthy. When possible, we will confirm with our subjects that their statements captured on video are accurate & truthful. At the very least, we will give our subjects an opportunity to elaborate and/or respond. In all matters, we rely on the 1st Amendment to protect our ability to publish newsworthy items after our internal deliberations. On whether there is an obligation to ensure the veracity of statements made on video, 1.) consider whether the remarks may potentially impact an innocent third party. (Factors in support of releasing the content) and 2.)The Newsworthiness of the statement alone by itself. (Factors against releasing the content).

Rule #8 – Raw Video. In certain circumstances we may release the “raw” video to the press and or the public. But as a rule, we do not.

Rule #9 – Subject Anonymity. We investigate & question sources before promising anonymity. Once we confirm, we will do everything in our power to protect the identity of our confidential sources.

Rule #10 – Being Accountable. Admit mistakes & correct them promptly.

Rule #11 – We do not manufacture content. We do not put words in our investigative subjects’ mouths. We do not lead the horse to water. Our purpose is to elicit truth.

Rule #12 – With Great Power comes Great Responsibility.

@ Rabz-
It’s the replica used in the movie “Fury” according to the museum’s website.

Tiger 131 is the real deal. As built in Germany, and as captured in Tunisia by 48 Battalion, Royal Tank Regiment in April 1943.

Their Churchills’ 6pdr (57mm) guns couldn’t penetrate the Tiger’s armour, but a lucky APCR round got lodged in its turret ring deeply enough to jam the turret and prevent it traversing. After a second round jammed the gun elevating gear and a third bouced off the loader’s hatch and sent a lot of spalling through the insides of the turret, the crew chose to abandon the tank.

Cairns’ Tiger is a restoration of a battlefield wreck (circa late 1944) from the Russian Steppes. The turret was blown out of this vehicle, I believe. Cairns is partially restoring the original turret for separate display, while restoring a second turret for mating with the hull and chassis.

Fair Work case decision.
Skip to para 113 if you want the outcome.

Muddy, this is wonderful. I think employers would be keenly interested in this clause –

[146] Finally, it should be clearly understood that employers who mandate vaccinations will be liable for any adverse reactions their workers may experience, given this is a foreseeable outcome for some people.

and how about this one –

[173] In summary, the powers to make PHOs cannot lawfully be used in a way that is punitive, and human rights are not suspended during states of emergency or disaster. The current PHOs have moved well past the minimum necessary to achieve public health aims, and into the realm of depravation. It is not proportionate, reasonable or necessary to “lock out” those who are unvaccinated and remove their ability to work or otherwise contribute to society. PHOs, by their nature, are designed and intended for short term use in the event of an emergency or crisis. They are not intended to be an ongoing vehicle to enforce significant depravations of our civil liberties. The COVID pandemic started over 20 months ago. The time is fast approaching where the reliance on PHO’s will no longer be justified on public health grounds, particularly where there is such a significant intrusion on individual liberties.

The Great Barrington Declaration is widely quoted.

and what about this –

[174] It is highly likely that the dismissal of an employee who fails to have the COVID vaccine will breach the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DD Act). The DD Act makes it unlawful to discriminate against a person, including in employment and in accessing services, because of a disability.

[175] The definition of disability in s.4 of the DD Act includes “the presence in the body of organisms capable of causing disease or illness”. It includes a disability that presently exists, or previously existed but no longer exists, or may exist in the future, or is imputed to a person.

And the “Final Comments” are worth reading in full.

It could hardly be more clear cut. They don’t have a leg to stand on.

I quote here from a protestant hymn:
‘Mid toil and tribulation,
and tumult of her war,
she waits the consummation
of peace for evermore;
till with the vision glorious
her longing eyes are blest,
and the great church victorious
shall be the church at rest.

Yeah see P, you like me have been around long enough to remember when The Church had a good influence on daily life.

There are countless young people in the West who have never experienced life in a Christian community but yet now find themselves craving it.

Having grown in a world with the faux ‘freedoms’ of the 1960’s on, only proving to have created more wretched slavery to destructive debasement, they don’t want that life anymore, especially for their children, but they just can’t find a Church they can trust due to all the bending to modern worldly way that Church leaders do.

You were a hero to me: Russell Pillemer’s plea to Malcolm Turnbull

Yoni Bashan
State Political Reporter
@yoni_bashan
33 minutes ago September 29, 2021

“You were a hero to me and my whole family,” wrote Russel Pillemer in a heartfelt email to Malcolm Turnbull sent on a November afternoon late last year.

Mr Pillemer urged his long-term business associate to believe in their friendship and intervene in a messy legal battle threatening to ruin him financially and sully his reputation. He had a tough job ahead of him: not only was he trying to persuade Mr Turnbull that he hadn’t swindled the family out of millions of dollars in investment profits, he was trying to convince the former prime minister that his son Alex was the actual villain and cause of the dispute.

“I just cannot understand how this has happened,” Mr Pillemer wrote. “You know me well enough to know that I never would have done what Alex said that I did.”

As far as persuading Mr Turnbull to end the proceedings, the email was ultimately unsuccessful.

On Wednesday, the wealthy fund manager returned to the witness box to be cross-examined about his investment company, Pengana Capital, and the merger that saw its value surge clear of life-changing amounts of money.

This deal, Alex Turnbull insists, was concealed from him at the cost of a fortune in profit.

Mr Turnbull, through his company Maurtray Pty Ltd, is suing Mr Pillemer for up to $12m, claiming “misleading and deceptive conduct” on the part of the Pengana chief executive.

In Mr Pillemer’s eyes, the claims made against him remain incomprehensible on account of his longstanding friendship and loyalty to Mr Turnbull Sr, a relationship that began when they worked together at Goldman Sachs in the 1990s and evolved with Pengana Capital, which they founded together in 2003. “We think of you as extended family,” Mr Pillemer’s letter to Mr Turnbull reads. “My Dad told people that the 5 best days of his life were his marriage, the birth of his 3 sons – and the day that Malcolm was made PM. Surely you know that I would never deceive you or your family – you know that I am not that type of person.”

To proffer evidence of his fealty, Mr Pillemer reminded the former prime minister that one day prior to a critical meeting he held with Alex to discuss his stake in Pengana, he attended a lavish lunch arranged by Mr Turnbull for the then-prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Not only was the room filled with Australian luminaries but Mr Pillemer and his wife were seated directly alongside the function’s main table, and were tickled pink when Mr Turnbull invited them over for a chat with the Israeli leader, introducing them as his “great friends and partner”.

“We were on the biggest highs of our lives after that lunch, marvelling at what a great man and friend you were to us – that in a huge audience of some of the most important people in Australia, it was the two of us you paid the most attention to,” he wrote.

“How could you possibly think that the very next day following that lunch I would set out to deceive your family – knowing that I would be ‘found out’ only a very short time later. Surely, you can see that makes no sense?”

As the letter continued, its tone grew darker and shifted to one that Mr Turnbull in court on Tuesday described as threatening and sinister. Mr Pillemer said Alex’s subpoenas had set the market talking and were impacting his “ good reputation”.

“What he is doing is extremely damaging and is placing me and my family under existential risk. The most truly bizarre element of this action is that if it does go to court, it’s your family that would be most impacted,” he wrote.

Claiming he would be unable to finance the action, he told Mr Turnbull his solution would be to engage a full-scale assault that would include litigation funding, public relations support, moral backing and strategic direction.

He also warned that doing so might cause embarrassing political revelations to arise during court proceedings.

Sorry, Indolent. I wrote too soon. I was unknowingly reading the minority/dissenting decision.

Actually, not quite. This case turned on the requirement for a flu shot in a nursing home. Because leave to appeal was not granted the issue of Covid vaccination, which was not intrinsic to this case, was examined in great detail and I would suggest that any employer, after reading it, would hesitate to try to enforce it.

PART 2 –VACCINE REQUIREMENTS IN RELATION TO COVID

[101] The Majority Decision raises the issue of COVID vaccinations and their requirement in workplaces. It forms part of the reasoning for refusing to grant permission to appeal and accordingly provides the opportunity in this decision to deal with this important issue.

[102] There can be absolutely no doubt that vaccines are a highly effective tool for protection against a variety of diseases. The focus of this decision, however, is not the pros and cons of vaccination. It is about the extent to which mandatory COVID vaccinations can be justified, as to do so impinges on other laws, liberties and rights that exist in Australia.

Yep. Badly underpowered and the critical elements of the powertrain were overtaxed and under-engineered. And that is on top of a logistics system and rail network not really built to accommodate something its size (The tank had to be de-tracked and fitted with half-width ‘travel’ tracks to permit movement by road or rail flatbed. And there was never an effective Recovery Vehicle design for something its size. You needed 3 large half-tracks to tow a single Tiger, for example…)

But at least Adolf got his big, (mostly) impervious tank.

One can only wonder how Germany’s Panzerwaffe might have gone if they had got the T-34 clones (albeit built to German rather than slipshod Russian) standards they originally wanted.

The Panther was pretty good for what it did, but the original intent was for something lighter and faster.

Have you read any of Holland’s titles?

No, I haven’t.

As far as the T-34 goes, my reading on the subject is that many German commanders were awed by the combination of firepower, protection and mobility it represented, and utterly appalled by its engineering, build quality and ergonomics. The vehicle was designed and built with the expectation it would be very quickly wiped out- The motors, I believe, were only good for about 200 hours’ running before major rebuilds were required. And even then, by 1945 they were lucky to make 180.

Several proposals for a tank of similar size, weight and general layout were made in 1942, but between the distaste of German engineers for certain elements of the Soviet design (e.g. turret placement well forward, majority of gun barrel length overhanging the hull, etc.) and Adolf Hitler being, well, Adolf Hitler, they ended up with the Panther. A compromise design some 20 tons heaver and significantly bigger across all dimensions.

Yet the Panther (despite its engine and transmission fires, early model reliability issues and deteriorating steel quality) turned out to be a superb battle tank. Particularly where it could engage the enemy at range.

trains and trucks… scary at a victorian crossing

I know of a very sad case where the crew of a heritage steam engine and two footplate passengers died in a level crossing collision with a B-double truck full of flour at Benalla in 2002.

The truck raced them to the crossing, and had partially crossed as the train came through.

The loco hit and exploded the trailer with such force that the tender and cab roof tore the safety valves off the top of the boiler and cooked the crew alive..

One of the footplate passengers survived the incident, but was very badly burned.

The locomotive, K183 spent a very long time unrestored due to the nature of the event and the trauma it caused the Victorian steam community, and there was much kerfuffle in the last few years when plans were announced to overhaul it and return it to tour service.

So, between that, and the two badly hurt gentlemen whose cement train was punted off the tracks in Parkeston, WA by an impatient iron ore road train driver in March, Cats please take care at level crossings.

Your lives (and ours) are not worth the minute or so you might gain by not waiting for us…

I have several German Heavy Tank Battalion Unit records, Schwere Panzerjager Abteilung 654, Schwere Panzerjager Abteilung 653, and Schwere Panzer Abteilung 503. In one of them is a table detailing total losses and from memory 60% of the losses were from crews destroying the vehicles to prevent capture. The usual reasons were transmission/suspension damage, or no fuel.
It would appear that highly mobile operations were a big factor in bypassing concentrations of German heavy tanks as they couldn’t recover damaged vehicles in time.

Formerly a prosperous Western nation and beautiful vacation destination, Australia has more recently been transformed into a massive prison colony reserved for the worst of the worst, such as rapists, murderers, and people who go outside for some fresh air without permission.

“In this case, the punishment certainly fits the crime,” said Judge Stephanie Anders, who passed the sentence. “In Austalia, Davis will be forced to reflect on his horrific crime as he wanders through the bush, avoiding spiders, snakes, and coppers who want to bash his skull in for not wearing his mask over his nose.”

Also the Bee. This is a medical story:

SYDNEY—Australian hospitals are bursting at the seams, having reached their breaking point after being flooded with patients during the pandemic. The Australians streaming into the hospitals don’t have COVID, though, but instead are just bloodied and bruised from cops beating them up for not wearing masks, going outside for fresh air, and talking to other people.

Legit.

“Well, bugger! It’s way over capacity here, mate,” said one nurse in Sydney. “By the beard of a Koala! We got way too many wankers comin’ on in here and gettin’ all cracked up by the bloody coppers, mate.”

Still more realistic than any of Peter FitzSimons’ combined works.

According to medical professionals in Australia, the concerning rise in people getting absolutely demolished by the police and having to get rushed to the hospital is exacerbated by the fact that hospitals are already overwhelmed with people who got bit by two-story-tall spiders, punched by kangaroos, and elbow-dropped by drop bears.

Bad mood morning. No sweet dreams of kindly medicos for me. I open my weekly local birdcage liner and find this letter to the Editor:

Our forefathers fought and died in conflict to keep us safe. They also took the jab for smallpox, tuberculosis, polio and other epidemics also to keep us safe. My father contracted polio before James Salk discovered the vaccine and his doctor said he would never walk again. In spite of his withered legs he never missed a day’s work in his life. He also caught TB during the epidemic which contributed to his death in later life. So forgive me if I have no sympathy for you or your rites and your freedom. People are dying out there. Stop your whining, follow your forefathers and get the jab to protect the rest of us.

This is the level of hysteria in regional Australia. And in indication of trust in these “vaccines” that clearly don’t work. Unless you change the meaning of the word “vaccine”.

Needless to say, Fairfax owns the paper, so were quite comfortable printing this ill-informed and malicious rant.

The conspiracies against me continue apace.

I am not on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, but they have banned me. Clearly, I am on their Red List. Perhaps rightly so, for I am lone warrior – or so it seems, on occasion – in my quest.

I know who the hackers are. Not on a personal level, but I know them. Oh, I know them. I know their tricks, their chimeras, the subterfuges they undertake when they block my information arteries. And I know why they do what they do.

They fear me. And they are right to fear me, because I am dangerous. If I reveal what I know about them, there will be revolution across borders. Across continents, such is my reach – should I choose to employ it.

And so, because they fear me, one day they will come. As night follows day, my action will cause a reaction – although it will not be equal, nor opposite.

As I am snatched from the street and bundled into the black van, observed and guarded by equally noir aerial overwatch, I will continue to screech. The world will know of tunnels. Of red leather shoes. Of flour and meat and vegetables and fruit and the diced ears of children, placed on a tray and cooked with a thick base and cheesy crust for the consumption of those who would do us harm.

I know this is how it will end. I must continue. I must. I must.

Too many open tabs. Not enough sleep.

calli, you should google the name of who wrote the letter.
I wouldn’t be surprised if their name is connected to stories of “such & such party candidate” at some election.
Also, what are the odds of someone alive today having a father who survived polio but also caught TB?
Walter Mitty?

A small scale military museum, but well worth a look is the WWI museum colocated with the mining museum at Gympie.
Exclusively WWI gear from local veterans and the militia light horse outfit. Quality gear, some of it unique. I believe that they are seeking a parent museum as preservation becomes more demanding.

I have no doubt that the covid vaccines significantly reduce the risks of hospitalisation and death and I believe the evidence is there to support my view.
Much how I view the flu vaccine which also is never 100 percent effective, wanes in efficacy over time and requires ‘boosters’.
Still, roll on on 1 December 2021.

Our forefathers fought and died in conflict to keep us safe.

If you weren’t alive when they fought, how can they possibly be doing it to keep YOU safe?

That’s complete bullshit.

They fought to preserve the SYSTEM which provide for your safety, wellbeing and prosperity. The very system which has been raped and pillaged under YOUR watch.

As a generation, we have failed.

Explanation of why the Cairns Tank Museum has two Tiger tanks:

1) is the replica built for the movie Fury. It is metal, but originally was non-moving. For the movie it had a sled arrangement underneath which gave it the semblance of moving.

2) is a Tiger built out of parts recovered from (mainly) the Russian front areas of WWII.

It’s interesting the museum did that, and shows how a private museum has some advantages over a government one. They subscribe to the Burra principles, which do not allow such assembly, nor the restoration of items, rather their preservation.

However, especially in wartime, using a variety of parts on vehicles would be the norm, so not for me a problem. To the Museum’s credit each of their signs explains the origin of each vehicle too – they are not saying this is a tank from here if it’s not.

Pretty much everyone these days drags in our poor old forefathers to support their side of the argument.
I’d say they were as individual as we are and fought to beat an existential threat.
I know for sure my dad would have despised our politicians and considered many others hard on the road to hell, but not because of vaccines.
Abortion, euthanasia, the criminal threats against priests in the confessional, the criminalisation of prayers for the end of unwanted same sex attraction, the promotion of transgenderism, most especially to children, these are the sorts of abominations that would have exercised him.

Calli, they’ve already changed the meaning of the word “vaccine”. Just like the meaning of the words “nation”, “misogyny”, “consensus” and “pandemic” have been changed for political purposes.
It’s one of the hardest actions by the ministry of truth to counter. Try interrupting anyone you know- doctor, housewife, whoevs- who says “vaccine” and insist they replace it with “needle” or “therapy”. People soon tag you as abrasive.

I should add to my explanation above that the Cairns Museum is working on getting the Fury Tiger moving.

They have a full-time mechanic, with two apprentices, who work on such projects, and I believe the idea is to get it moving enough so it can be used on their track around the back of the Museum. They have a tank festival every mid-year, and again I believe regular weekends when they have moving tank displays, and one can even book a ride.

‘Existential’ only so far as our SYSTEM goes.

None of our past adversaries completely wiped out a national populace, just their system of government and the associated freedoms, etc.

When people refer to existential threats, they are often talking in these terms. What have we just witnessed since March 2020?

Authoritarianism well and truly set in Australia!

Gladys the witch in full flight. I’m at the point where I can’t stand to even look at her.

The real question is, was this before or after the Police Commissioner said they would not be enforcing medical apartheid? And she’s talking about opening up but with unvaccinated businesses not opening up. She’s at the point of exceeding even the massive powers she’s been smashing us with.
